Happy Saturday Everyone!!! I can't believe Easter is tomorrow already and it is April! Wow! Where does the time go.

Today it is time for another Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge!!

This week the challenge team is challenging you to an April Fools Stitching
Challenge. Will you fool us with faux stitching or use real sti
tching on your card?
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, April 8 at 8 p.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.
Here is my take on the challenge using the New Release Happy Father's Day from Our Daily Bread Designs. I seldom make masculine cards so I decided it was time I do one. What do you think?
The dp was from some scraps so I don't know the name of it. I used a combo of faux and real stitching. The ribbon is from American Crafts. The brads are Hodgepodge Hardware from Stampin Up.
For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

We hope you are able to join us for this week's challenge. If so, please leave a direct link to your creation here.

APRIL FOOLS FUN REVEAL

On Thursday we had our Our Daily Bread Designs New Release and a fun April Fools Joke we played on our dear friend and boss Kelley. Each of us cased someone else's card and then sent them to a different team member to post on their blog. It was a great time and oh so fun!! Kelley and our viewers were to try and guess who made what card. How did you do?

We can now reveal which card we REALLY made for the Blog Hop!!! I had the honour of casing the incredibly talented Kathy Jones!!!!
This is my card:

Stamps - MOM (ODBD)
Paper - Green, White, Basic Grey Kisohi DSP
Ink - Black
Accessories - Fancy Tags Spellbinders, Label 11, Oval, Scallop Oval, Petite Oval, Petite Scallop Oval Nestabilities, Ribbon, Paper Piercer, Silver Pearls, Cuttlebug Vintage Die

The wall hanging displayed on my blog was a case of me by Lorelie!! Aren't her creations divine!!!

I hope you enjoyed the fun!!

Normally I would be posting a Saturday Spotlight card today as well, however that will not be anymore. It with deep regret that I must inform you that this challenge is now ended. My dear friend, Vicki, the founder of this challenge, has had to step away from blogging and challenges for a while to carry through some family plans that will be taking up so much more of her time.

I have so enjoyed working with this group of encouraging and inspirational group of ladies!! It was pure joy to communicate and share so many experiences with you girls the last 6 months. It was a challenge team like no other. I count you all as dear friends!! I have learned so much from you all. This is not a goodbye as I will see you all in blogland!!

Vicki, what can I say...I just love you girl!! It saddens my heart to see you go...but totally understand that you must go for a while. Your energy, BIG Heart, love for others, creativity and your unbelievable talent have meant so much to me. Vicki, tugged at my heart from the moment I met her in blogland. Her enthusiasm contagious. Working as a coordinator with you was a great experience. Thanks for the opportunity. You are a dear friend!! I will be talking to you!!

It has been a very busy week with hops and etc. here at my blog this week. I do, however, want to deeply apologize for my lack of presence in blogland. I have truly struggled this week to even get my posts up since I have been real sick with the flu which has now turned into a sinus and ear infections as well. Hopefully my meds. kick in soon so I can be back to normal.

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by today and for your sweet comments. I have put up some blog candy available to you my faithful followers as a thank you. If you have not yet signed up, please click here.

Have a great weekend!!

hugs and blessings,
Chris

Man!!! That's an awesome take on the sewing challenge and a fantastic use of this stampset! Love this card Chris! Now, if that DP was in your 'scrap' stash, then I want access to your scraps woman! heeheh. :)

On a seious note, please hurry up and get better. You've been dealing with illness for much too long. Take those meds & get plenty of rest. Tomorrow is Easter and I hope you and your family will have a beautiful Day celebrating. I will be thinking of you and sending you lots of healing thoughts and big hugs for everything youve been going through. :) Take care!

Hi Chris,
These are wonderfully crafted cards, I love them both. It's a pity si few understand how true the sentiment on the first card is.
Happy Easter.

Awesome, man card, Chris! The faux stitching is the best, so cute. I like that double ribbon on your CASE card, but didn't even try to guess who did it. So sad to see SSHP closed, it was a favorite. :(
