Happy Hump Day Friends!! It is hard to believe we are already at the half way mark.  The week is just slipping away after Hurricane Sandy!! Thankfully the storm was nothing like they predicted it would be here. I pray for NYC and all the affected areas!!!  Prayerfully, restoration will be brought back soon.

Today I would like to share one of the gorgeous new releases from Our Daily Bread Designs which will be released tomorrow: Turtle Dove Ornament.  If you like birds, then you are in for a real treat on this next release!!  But that's not all in the release...there is no more.  The blog hop for ODBD starts tomorrow at 8 a.m. EDT!!!

For my card, I colored my image with copics and then added some glitter.  The glitter made the doves look more blue than gray in the photo.  The embossed background is created with the Sizzix Holly Embossing Folder.  Rather than pop up my ornament, I used the negative of the circle die to create my frame (This is the challenge at Catered Crop).  The ribbon is actually wrinkled red ribbon from May Arts.  The pearl strand going down the side is one strand glued down that I was given by a dear friend.  The sentiment is framed with the Fancy Labels 2 dies from Spellbinders.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- Turtle Dove Ornament (sneak peek)
Embossing folder: Sizzix Holly embossing folder
Dies: Spellbinders Classic and scalloped Circles dies (large and small), Spellbinders Labels Fancy Labels 2 dies
Accessories: Pearl strand, May Arts Wrinkled Red Ribbon, ZVA Creative white pearls

I hope this creation, has somehow inspired you.

Thanks for stopping by!! I treasure all my viewers/blogging friends and their comments.

Have a blessed Day!!!

Hello Friends!!!  I hope all have the nice weather we have here in Virginia and are enjoying it.  I know I am trying to get a lot of the outside work done before the temperatures dip in the 40's and 30's next week.  Yuck!!

Anywho...I am here to share a Fall Thanksgiving card. For my creation I used the Apple Wreath image from Our Daily Bread Designs . I colored 2 of the same image with copics and then cut some of the apples and leaves to layer. I also added some Foliage using the Martha Stewart Foliage Punch. The image is cut with the scalloped circles die from Spellbinders and placed on dimensionals on a background cut out with Labels One and Fancy Labels One. The background is scored.

I just love Thanksgiving.  So often we often to thank God for all He has blessed us with.  Yes, many of us have tough times but we get through them and they can always be worse.  Through the tough times I feel His presence and for that I am thankful.  I thank God for good health, freedom in the USA, a loving husband and family, our new home, salvation....and the list goes on.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you are somehow inspired by my creation!!  I greatly appreciate all your sweet comments!!
Have a blessed Day!!!

Hello everyone! I hope your week is going well! Life has been quite busy for me as I have my parents visiting for over a week.  It has a blessed and exciting time but VERY BUSY leaving me little to no time to create or blog.  In a couple of days they will be on their way home and life will be back to normal ( While I thrive on routine, I will so miss having them here!!!)Anywho... I wanted to pop in with a card I made for a L-E-A-F Create your own word recipe challenge this week over at Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge. Use three letters in the word "LEAF" and create a card or project beginning with those letters. For My creation I used the letters L-Leaf and layers E-Embossing A-Adhesive Pearls and Rhinestones F-Flowers and Flourishes .

I used the Our Daily Bread Designs Christmas Verses sentiment and stamped it over the Flowering Faith flower image.  The flowers are created with two sizes of the Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch.  The leaves are created with the Martha Stewart Leaf embossed with Provocraft Textile embossing folder, the Martha Stewart Twig punch, and the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish. The sentiment is framed with the Spellbinders Mega Curved Rectangles and Classic Rectangles (also embossed with the Textile embossing folder) . The background is embossed with the Provocraft Scrollwork Embossing folder.

Card Recipe
ODBD stamps used: Christmas VersesFlowering Faith

Hello everyone! I hope your week is going well!  I wanted to pop in with a card I made for a sketch challenge this week over at Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge I used the Be Joyful stamp set available at Our Daily Bread designs.  I stamped the image and sentiment with Memento and colored with Copics, then cut them out with a Spellbinders Classic Circle (layering them on another classic and scalloped circle).  The background is created with the Spellbinders Botanical Swirls!!  I just love this die and the dimension and texture it gives!!!   I added a little bow made with May Arts ribbon and the Bow Easy.

ODBD Stamps used: Be Joyful
Spellbinders: Classic and Standard Circles (large and small), Botanical Swirls, A2 Matting Basics A and A2 Matting Basics B, Fleur De Lis Accents
Accessories: Ruffled Ribbon, May Arts Wrinkled Ribbon, Bow Easy

Here is the sketch I used:

Hello Friends!! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!!  We had a blast camping at Bugs Island.  The weather was gorgeous...a very crisp cool weekend!!  It was not too hot and not too cool.  No artist could ever paint something as beautiful as God's creation!! The leaves have not changed as much here yet but there are many trees with the bright Autumn colors mixed in with all the green.

Speaking of leaves and fall...today I would like to share a card with an Autumn theme.

I just could not resist joining today's Free For All (F4A138) challenge at Splitcoast which was to use the negative parts of a die cut and combine it with Thursday's WT396 Round and Round challenge and Monday's TLC 398 to add dimension!! How fun!! I so enjoyed using the negative to create a card!! It is awesome for using up scraps as well, which is what I used!!

Card Recipe:
Stamps used: Our Daily Bread Designs Pumpkin Wreath and Apple Wreath
Spellbinders Dies: Spellbinders Foliage, Standard and Classic Circles
Embossing Folders: Provocraft Scrollwork, Soft Swirls
Accessories: May Arts Black Silk Ribbon ribbon, ZVA creative pearl flourishes

I hope this creation, has somehow inspired you.

Thanks for stopping by!! I treasure all my viewers/blogging friends and their comments.

Hello Friends!! I hope you are enjoying this wonderful fall season!   As the weather is getting cooler....thoughts of the holidays are approaching.  Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner and my holiday card making is so behind!!!  With this in mind I created a Christmas card.

I made this card using the SC406 sketch from Splitcoast Stampers designed by Korin. It was so much fun to create a white on white card with a Victorian Flair using it.

For my creation I used the Perfect Gift Stamp set for my image and Oh Christmas Tree stamp set for the sentiment. Both sets are from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Rather than use designer paper, I added texture with the Lattice Die from Spellbinders and the Sizzix Poinsettia Embossing Folder. The ribbon is pink seam binding. For added elegance I added pearls.

I hope this creation, has somehow inspired you.

Thanks for stopping by!! I treasure all my viewers/blogging friends and their comments.
