Hi Everyone!! I hope you all had a great week and you are ready for the weekend. I know I am. I have a card and project using a variety of challenges to share with you today.

Inky Impressions is having their 2nd design team call. I missed the first one and decided I didn't want to miss this one too. Their images are just so adorable! You have until August 3rd to apply. When the design team call was originally posted, there was a color challenge as well (to use bayou blue, chocolate chip, purely pomegranite, and kiwi kiss). I began to make a card using their Lili's Chicks stamp using colors as close to these as possible (I substituted red since I did not have pomegranite). I colored Lili in with my prisma color pencils. I used the SFYTT sketch challenge layout for this week hosted by Jenn D. Jenn's sketches look so fun and I rarely get to participate. Thanks for this week's fun sketch Jenn!

Here is a close up of the image.

I also incorporated WT229 Supply me (using office supplies. I used a paperclip for my tag.) few of the DTGD09 challenges (DTGD09bevmom- Sew unexpected, DTGD09deborahlynnes- Taken with Texture, DTGD09becca_stamps- Cut it out with punches and dies, DTGD09lauraly- ribbon, DTGD09craftycaro- Anything but average, DTGD09blondie090277- paper tole).

After a week, the Inky Impressions blog changed how the were requesting applicants to apply to just including a favorite card and project that demonstrates your coloring skills due to time constraints. Since I used prisma colors on the top card using one of their images, I thought I would include a card using a Sarah Kay stamp which showed coloring with copics as well.

And lastly is a project I am recently working on using Inky Impressions Stamps. I am using the Lili's prayer stamp for this. My sister in law is going through a very difficult time right now and I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her so I decided I would make her a gift basket. Below I am showing just a few of the things that will be going in there that I hope will encourage her and let her know that I care.

Since we both grew up on farms and we are both Dutch, we were brought up in similar way and have a lot of the same interests. She will love that adorable image, Lili's chicks, reminding her of when she lived on the farm. The boxes and bags will be filled up with many Dutch treats that she and I love and not too many others appreciate. One of which is "Dropje" a type of Dutch licorice. (It is very hard to find. Few like it though. My kids and husband tried it and spit it out immediately. It was very funny to see their expressions! LOL! My husband calls it a "rubber tire")

We both love fairies and butterlies and I made a praying fairy with Lili's Prayer on the Box in a Bag. I added wings behind her with the Butterfly Sizzix die from SU.

In the front, is a post it note pad I made using the same stamp but this one is without wings. I colored her with copics and tried to give the jeans a faded look

Here is a close up of the projects I completed so far using the Inky Impressions stamps.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. If you are interested in learning more about the Inky Impressions DT call, click here. Thanks so much to Inky Impressions for allowing me this opportunity to apply. Good luck to everyone who applies!

Tomorrow I will be back with projects using Our Daily Bread Designs New Release. You won't want to miss all the creations that the ODBD design team will be posting with these gorgeous sets!! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend!

hugs and blessings,

Chris

Good Morning!! I hope everyone is enjoying their week. The weather has been rainy and humid here!! I am enjoying my time in the AC and peeking out at the outdoors just thankful not to be in the heat or the pouring rain. Good excuse to be stamping and creating, right? This week I have been trying to spend time with the girls inside and creating! How fun!! Sure can't complain!

Today I would like to share two cards I made using Our Daily Bread Designs new and upcoming release, Jesus, for Saturday, two days away!!! I just love all the verses in the beautiful fonts Kelley carries in all of her wonderful sets!

I love images but for this first card, I decided to show how easy and fun it is to create a card or project without an image.

For this card, I used several challenges from the Dare to be Dirty Challenges at SC including:

DTGD09genie1314- Tag Art

DTGD09Lauraly- Tie it on

DTGD09becca_stamps- Cut it Out

DTGD09bevmom- Sew Unexpected

DTGD09craftycaro- Anything but Average

I also incorporated the WT229 challenge for today to "Supply It" You were to use office supplies. I embossed a silver paper clip in gold, added three pearls (MS large pearls) and clipped it on.

I just love the Chelsea Windsor Roses from Prima that Kelley carries in her store! They are so elegant and gorgeous. I used a peach flower and paired it up with the K& Co. Que Sera dp also available at ODBD. Since I gold embossed the verse, I decided to put touches of gold embossing on the flower, add gold metallic paper die cut with the Spellbinders Flourish Accents, and sew with gold metallic thread. The flower is framed using the new Spellbinders die Fleur De Lis. The background part of the frame is turned and cut in half leaving a gap for the alternating frame to be turned up popped up through the middle. The bottom border is created using the Fleur De Lis punch from EK Success.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Jesus- Our DAily Bread Designs

Paper: K&Co Que Sera, Groovy Guava and White

Accessories: Ek Success Fleur De Lis Punch, Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Punch, Spellbinders Flourish Accent, gold cording, Groovy Guava Ribbon, Paper Clip, Gold Embossing Powder, Martha Stewart Large Pearls

Oh Boy...I have five minutes before having to leave to take my daughter for Piano lessons. Why did I schedule them so early?!!!! It takes a half hour to get there. Yikes!

Well here is my second card for yesterday's SC239 sketch at SC. It also uses the ODBD Jesus set. I incorporated the following Dare To Be Dirty challenges as well:

DTGD09 DeborahlynneS -Taken With Texture

DTGD09 becca_stamps- Cut it out with punches and Dies

DTGD09sgtstamper- Shades of Blue

DTGD09 Craftycaro- Anything But Average

DTGD09Lauraly- Tie it on- Use Ribbon

DTGD09Bevmom- Sew Unexpected

DTGD09genie1314- Tag Art

and Flourishes FTTC26 Monochromatic

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Jesus- Our Daily Bread Designs

Paper- Parisian Breeze, Baja Breeze, Bayou Blue

Accessories: Spellbinders Tag, Spellbinders Rennaissance Hearts Borderabilities, Spellbinders Label 4, Spellbinders Mega Curved Rectangles, EK Success Morroccan, Soft Sky Ribbon, Gold Cording

Phew! Finished this just in the knick of time before running again. Thanks for stopping by!! I so appreciate your comments! Thanks also for inspiring me with your creations! Have a great day!!

Happy Hump Day! I Can't believe it is Wednesday already and time for yet another Flutter By Wednesday. Where does the time go!! I can't believe in a few more days it will be August!!!

Today's Flutter By Wednesday challenge is hosted by my dear friend and dt sister, Ann. This week's challenge is to not use any designer paper on your card or project. This is indeed a challenge for me since I love designer paper. I decided, however, to really think out of the box or my comfort zone and use some earth tones. I love my soft subtles and rich regals most of all. I am not sure if I like how my card turned out or not yet. I used my Inpired by Nature set and the butterfly is created with the Butterfly Sizzix die on Old Olive. I created my own background dp with a weathered background stamp from SU for the Dare to Get Dirty DTGD09gbedwright to create your own DP. The flower is glittered on the edges just to create a shimmer.
I hope this card somehow inspires to create your own creation using this challenge. If this does not maybe my dt sister's awesome creations will!! Please visit Ann, Cassie, Harriet, Heather, Jodi, Kim, Michelle, Taylor, Nancy, Nicola, Christine, Lelia, Danni and Stef for their FBW creations.
Should you create a project with a butterfly or fairy and no designer paper, please leave a direct link here. If you upload to SC or PCP, please use the keyword FBW so we can see your creations in one place.
Thanks for stopping by today and as always thanks for your wonderful comments!

Happy Monday Morning!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend!! I know I did!! We did get over another 2 inches of rain but atleast it was more of a thundershower at night and we could enjoy the sun!!!

Today I am so excited to share a sneak peek from Our Daily Bread Designs called "Happy Birthday" to be released on August 1!!! I so love the sentiments and images in this set!!! I decided to use this set for my mom's birthday since she loves flowers and this set is perfect. I used yesterday Fs129 casing Versamom (lori) and cased this card. I kept the pink and the layout but changed the image, some of the layout, the coordinating colors, embellishments, and sentiment. I also incorporated several Dare to be Dirty challenges from last week:

DTGD09DeborahLynneS- Taken with Texture- I used flower soft

DTGD09genie1314- Tag Art- The tags behind the image pull out and say "Birthday Blessings" and "This is the day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it."

DTGD09blondie090277- Paper tole- I dimensionalized an paper toled my image

DTGD09lauraly- Tie one on- I used ribbon.

The image is gold embossed and colored with copics. It is paper toled and flower soft was added for texture. The dp is Memory Box - Pink Dots. I framed it with White Glitter paper from DCWV and Pretty in Pink CS. The border is created with the Fleur De Lis punch from Ek Success.

The sentiment tags pull out.

Hi All! Sorry I have been absent. I have been visiting with my parents and just couldn't bring myself to go away and type on the computer rather than visit. We had a fantastic time together and it will be a true memory of time well spent with their grandparents for my daughters: Nicki and Meghan. We worked in the garden together, played badminton, played on the swings, went for walks and bike rides and just had an awesome time!!

Today will be a short post since I would like to get creating, catch up around the house, and catch up visiting other blogs I have missed.

The card I am sharing with you today is for CC228 (to use pretty in pink, really rust, and not quite navy) and the Mojo 96 sketch. The colors were really quite out of the box for me. Once I settled on the SU Bloomin Beautiful set, it all began to flow.
Stamps: Bloomin Beautiful
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Really Rust, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive
Paper: Not Quite Navy DP, Pink Pirouette, White
Accessories: EK Success Morrocan, circle nestabilities, Fifth ave Floral Embossing plate, White Satin Ribbon
Thanks so much for stopping by. I so look forward to visiting your blogs and being inspired by your creations!

Happy Hump Day!! I hope you have all been having a great week. I know I have. I have been very busy creating. I just found out my mom and dad are coming first thing in the morning tomorrow for a few days! I am so excited to have some time to spend with them but that also means that I won't have any more time to create while they are here. So I have to get busy again today! I just received my new Our Daily Bread Designs sets for August and I can't wait to share them with you! Your going to love them!! Coming soon!!

Today is Flutter By Wednesday and it is time for a new challenge. Today's challenge is hosted by my ever so talented and sweet dt sister, Heather. Heather gave us quite the challenge this week. We were to create a scene and use little to no designer paper! I decided to use my Path of Life stampset from Our Daily Bread Designs! I had used the verses in this set before but never the image. It is such a beautiful scene that I couldn't resist. I used prisma color pencils and gamsol to color the image. I framed the image with my Spellbinders Classic frame and added spring, dark pink, light pink and ivory flower soft for dimension and color. The butterflies were created with the Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly punch. The green background is embossed with my textile Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Card Recipe:
Paper: Black green and white CS
I hope you enjoyed today's card and that you are inspired to create a scenic project or card with a fairy or butterfly (with little to no dp) on it. For more inspiration, visit my ever so talented dt sisters: Ann, Ashley, Cassie, Danni, Harriet, Heather, Jodi, Kim, Michelle, Nancy, Nicola, Stef, Taylor, Lelia, and Christine for their awesome takes on the challenge. If you should join us for the fun, please leave a direct link to Mr. Linky here. If you should upload your creation to SC or PCP, please use the keyword FBW.
Thanks for stopping by today. If you do stop by please leave a comment so I can in turn return the favor and visit your blog as well! Thanks for your wonderful comments. Have a blessed day!

In efforts to make this post too long, I would like you to hop on over here if you would like more info about this month's bonus prizes and the design team call. There is lots of fun and prizes to be had by a few lucky winners!

NOW FOR THE SKETCH!
I decided to use a fun and cutesy stamp from Penny Black called "Best Buddies". The pretty dp is from my stash that I just recently bought during my camping trip to Lancaster, PA. Good thing the stores that are available there are not here because I would always have empty pockets!! I added a touch of elegance by sewing a scalloped edge in gold metallic thread. Again I used my favorite corners from the Cuttlebug vintage die set, gold baubles and pearls! I colored the image using prisma color pencils and gamsol.
Card Recipe:
stamps: Penny Black- Best Buddies
paper: Deena's Penny Lane, Breaking Free (Jen Wilson)
Accessories: EK Success Eyelet punch, gold baubles, pearls, sewing machine, Mega curved rectangles, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, gold metallic thread
Hope you enjoyed today's post and that this sketch and project inspire you to join the fun this week. If you do, please leave a direct link to Mr. Linky here. If you upload to SC please use the keyword MMSC11.

Happy Monday Morning All! I wanted to share the card I made yesterday for the Featured Stamper Challenge FS128 Casing Diane. Diane has a beautiful gallery and I especially loved this card. I decided to use the same Fifth Avenue Floral Stampset with the embossed background but changed the color, sentiment, layout, technique used, and embellishments. I also incorporated the Creative Inspirations Challenge to use stitching, the OCC Triple Play Less is More Challenge hosted by Jenny Gropp, and the CC227 to use lavender, banana, black and white on your card.

I paper pieced the rose using paper from the SU Tea Party paper pack. The three embellishments I used for the OCCC were bling, thread for stitching and black ribbon. The leaves were actually leaves printed on piece of the Tea Party paper.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Only Ovals, Fifth Avenue Floral
Paper: Tea Party, Black and White CS
Accessories: Black Ribbon, MS Border Punch, FIfth Ave Floral Embossing Plate from SU, Oval punches (SU), Hero Arts pearls, black thread

I hope you enjoyed today's post. Tomorrow I will be back with the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge! Thanks for stopping by and for leaving such wonderful comments. I look forward to more creating and blogging today.

Happy Saturday all! I had planned on being at my nieces graduation party yesterday but my daughter and husband are sick. Today is very much a lay low day in our household.

Today's card is one made for SC237 (featuring Judy-Joy In a Jar's, my ODBD sister and friend's layout) and WT237. Wednesday was Judy's birthday and I thought it was a neat coincidence that Roxi would feature one of Judy's layouts. I decided to make my card for Judy using her featured layout in her favorite color pink. I hope you had a great birthday Judy and that you are blessed with many more happy healthy years to come.

I used the Lotis from the Our Daily Bread Designs New Release-Mother Teresa. The image was embossed in gold on watercolor paper and then watercolored. The dp is from the SU Walk in the Park paper pack and Basic Grey Porcelain Prints (available at ODBD). The double butterflies were silver but I embossed them gold. I wanted gold since Judy has a heart of gold and it seemed symbolic to me. I am still borrowing a friend's laptop and I am not sure if the stiching shows up on your PC or not but it does not on this one. There is stiching on the edges.
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- Mother Teresa, sentiment typed on PC
Paper: Walk in the Park, Porcelain Prints by Basic Grey, Pink Pirouette, Regal Pink
accessories: gold baubles, Cuttlebug Vintage Corners, EK Success Fleur De Lis Punch, Label 4 nestabilities, butterfly charms, Offray pink ribbon, Textile Cuttlebug folder, hero arts pearls.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!
Blessings,
Chris

Happy Friday All! The weekend is here and boy is it going to be another busy one. Tomorrow a.m. we leave to go upstate NY for a graduation party for my niece. They had originally planned it for when we were on vacation but when they heard we weren't going to be around they rescheduled. Now we really have to go. My Sister in Law also called and asked me two days ago to help her bake a bunch of goodies. I haven't gotten to it yet. So guess what I get to do today?!

Anywho...Today I would like to share a card I was so pleasantly surprised to receive from my friend Pam also known as Pam124 on Splitcoast. Pam is such a sweetheart and so talented too. If you haven't seen her gallery, you should. I am sure she would love a little love. She used the Flock Together paper I had sent to her earlier. Wasn't that so sweet of her to send me one of her creations with it?! I just love her colors and design!

AWARDS!!!
I also received two awards from fellow blogging friends and dt sisters. Thanks so much Nicola at Nicola's Creations and Carolyn at Creative Card Corner for thinking of me!! I am so sorry it took me so long to pass them on. If you have not seen these girls blogs, you really should. They are uber talented and so sweet. Lots of eye candy on their blog. I also want to extend my condolences to Nicola, after the loss of her brother. You and your family are in my prayers!

Well now it is time to pass these awards on. I would so love to give them to all my blogging friends/followers because you all inspire me so but since they ask they be passed on to only five, here it goes.

All of these girls are so sweet and talented! There is so much eye candy on their blogs. They are well worth a visit!!! Thanks for inspiring me girls!
Today...I wanted to make this blog about others and not on my own creations. I will share a card with you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend! As always thanks for your comments, I so appreciate them!

Happy Thursday all! Well the sunshine is trying to come out here and the birds are chirping away. I was looking out the window and I saw two etremely bright red birds. I had never seen them before. We looked in our bird book and they are called Scarlet Tanager. Wow were they beautiful! I tried to get a picture before my battery needed recharging. Hopefully I can blow it up on my computer to share with you later this week.

Anywho....today is the day for the Divine Diva Challenge. Lori sent the dt the photo below as our inspiration from Art.com.

I actually found this picture quite challenging. I have minimal (almost no) stamps with a vase of flowers. I did find an old stamp of mine that I bought from a local craft store years ago with a vase of flowers so I went with it. It is so old that the writing on the sides of the stamp is worn off. I know it is made by the Rubber Soul Co. but that is it.

I was greatly inspired by the colors for my card and the vase of daisies.

Card Recipe:
stamps: Rubber Soul ?
Paper: Parisian Breeze, Urban Garden, White CS
Accessories: Labels 4 Spellbinders, sewing machine, textile embossing folder, Chocolate chip and Baja Breeze Ribbon, EK Success Flower punch, Brads (flowers)
I hope you are able to join our challenge this week and that this creation somehow inspires you. For more inspiration, visit my ever so talented dt sisters: Julie, Keri, Chat, Angela, and Lori. If you do create a project or card using this inspiration please leave a direct link on Lori's blog here. If you upload your creation to SC, please use the keyword DDIC8. I look forward to seeing all your creations!
Have a great day!!!

Happy Hump Day! Is it really Wednesday already?!!!! The days are flying by!!!! Today I am excited to be sharing another Flutter By Wednesday creation. I just love cards with butterflies or fairies. They are just so Happy! Don't you think?

This week my DT sister Cathy challenged us to use pink and brown on our creation. Not at all difficult for me as I just love this color combo!!! I used this months new releases from Our Daily Bread Designs- Let Us Begin and Mother Teresa and this weeks Mojo 95 for the layout. I just love the quote. How true it is! The dp is from the SEI- Chocolat collection, My butterfly was made using SU Butterfly Sizzix die and the DP from the Chocolat collection. Even the flower by the sentiment is paper pieced and adhered with dimensionals. Since the dp is embossed and glittered, I added glitter to the lotus as well. Many of the materials are available at ODBD. I have provided the links for anyone who is interested.

CARD RECIPE:
Stamps: Let Us Begin, Mother Teresa from Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: SEI Chocolat, Bazzill Bitter Chocolate and Pink
Accessories: Sizzix Butterfly Die from SU, Spellbinders Large and Small Deckled Rectangles, Spellbinders Label One Die, Hero Arts Pearls (corners), Martha Stewart Pearls, EK Success Fleur De Lis Punch, Bosskut Flourish Die, Cuttlebug Vintange Die (for corners on the top).

I hope you are inspired to join in with today's Flutter By Wednesday Challenge. For more inspiration, please stop and leave some love for my fab dt sisters: Ann, Ashley, Cassie, Cathy, Christine, Danni, Harriet, Heather, Lelia, Jodi, Kim, Michelle, Nancy, Stef, and Taylor. Happy Tuesday Morning! I am back from vacation!! The weather while we were away was terrific!!! We only had one evening of rain during the entire 10 days with limited to no humidity. It is definitely diet time!!!! While we had such an awesome time, I am happy now to be getting back into some sort of routine and to visit you all! I have so much catching up to do.....

The image is watercolored.

Card recipe:

Stamps: Cherry Jubilee-Penny Black (the sentiment is typed on the computer)

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a terrific week!! Many of you are probably ready for the weekend and glad that it is Friday. Me....well...I am on vacation so I probably am not as happy to see the week pass so fast. Soon we will be going home and our vacation will be over.

Today I would like to share a card I made using this month's Our Daily Bread Release- Mother Teresa and Grow in Grace! I just love watercoloring or coloring the lotus!!!! This lotus is a very soft pink. The dp I paired the image up with is Basic Grey- Porcelain Prints and Bella Rose Dp (Pink Pirouette). It is hard to see in the photo, but it is sewn in a Gold metallic thread. The image was gold embossed and watercolored. It is also cut out and dimensionalized.
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- Grow in Grace, Mother Teresa
Paper: Bella Rose from SU, and BG Porcelain Prints, BG Wisteria (green polka dotted paper behind the image, Pink Pirouette, Mellow Moss, White
accessories: Spellbinder Peony, Circle Spellbinders, Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio, Pink Satin Ribbon, Cuttlebug Vintage Corners Die, sewing machine, gold cording, Hero Arts Pearls, gold embossing powder, watercolor paper and SU markers, Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder

Happy Hump Day to you All! Today is Flutter By Wednesday! Woo hoo! Today's challenge was hosted by my dear dt sister Michelle. She challenged the team to use ribbons and buttons on our card or project along with a fairy or butterfly. My image is from the Whiff of Joy Summer Kit. I paper pieced most of the image and colored the hair and skin with copics. I just love the Elizabeth Bell images! She is such an awesome artist!! The dp I used is from the DCWV Girls Nursery Pack. This was another card I was unable to sew or paper pierce because of no electricity and very little light during the storms. With our storms and all the flooding (electric poles are pulling out of the ground because of the all the water) we have had a lot of power outages.
CARD RECIPE:
Stamps Whiff of Joy Summer Kit including Elizabeth Bell Images
Paper: Die Cuts With a View Girls Nursery Pack, Bitter Chocolate, White
Accessories: Buttons, Grossgrain Ribbon, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Copics, Quartz Prima Dandies Flower, Mega Curved Rectangle Nestabilities
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a chance to play with this week's Flutter By Wednesday Challenge! If you do, please link your direct link to Mr. Linky here. Happy Tuesday All!!! When you see this post, I will be away on vacation. I have prescheduled this post. This week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge was so fun and when I saw it, I immediately thought it would be great for a masculine card (which I don't make too frequently). I used the Winds of Grace set from SU which is now retired. The dp is from The Nines Specialty Paper and Sweet Slumber in the SU catalog. The image is watercolored. While I usually sew on a lot of my cards, this one is not sewn. We have been having a lot of power outages lately( this is the one Kathy) and since I was preparing for vacation, I did not have the time to hand sew it.
For all the details on the prizes and awards won this week, please visit Priscilla's Blog. I now there is not just one but two blog candy prizes this week along with the Midnight Madness Mad Money Piggy Bank Give away and the bonus prize. I hope you are inspired by this creation, but for more inspiration, visit my dt sisters: Carolynn, Charlotte, Denise, Jane, Jeni, Jessica, Kimmie, Michelle, Phyllis, Priscilla, Shawne, Sonya, and Sue. If you do create a card or project using this sketch, please leave a direct link to your creation here. If you upload to SC please use the keyword MMSC9. I have so enjoyed all the awesome creations with these sketches!
Have a great day!! Tomorrow I will be back with the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge! Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments!

Good Morning!!! I hope you had a wonderful Saturday yesterday and July 4th if you live in the US! I know we had planned to go to see fireworks in Pennsylvania and have a fire at our campsite after that. I am sure we are enjoying our vacation. (I don't know since this is a prescheduled post and I am not there yet). I sure have been looking forward to the change in routine.

The card I am sharing with you today is using the old in colors. Boo hoo! I so loved these colors and I know I will continue to use a lot of them anyway since I have so many dp and cardstocks in my stash.

This is a more CAS card for me with some piercing, sponging and a simple stamp from Thoughts and Prayers (SU). The sentiment is from the SU Happy Harmony set. I punched the corners using my scalloped border punch. The edges around my image are sponged with Pacific Point.

Card Recipe:
stamps: Thoughts and Prayers, Happy Harmony
Paper: Pacific Point, Black and White
Accessories: Pacific Point Grossgrain Striped Ribbon, Classic Butterflies Punch, Hero Arts Pearls, Tags Trio Spellbinders Die, Ornare Paper Piercer, Swiss Dots Folder, SU Scalloped Border Punch

I hope you enjoyed today's post. I do have more posts scheduled, so I hope you will stop by again. Tuesday is the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge and Wednesday is Flutter By Wednesday! There are some awesome challenges in store for you! I have posts on those days as well as a few others.

Have a great Sunday!! Thanks for stopping by! As always, thanks for your sweet comments.

Todays card I am sharing with you is one I made a while ago for a wedding card. I wanted to keep it clean and simple so I added very little color to the white and just added a lot of texture instead. I use a variety of dies and punches. The sentiment "Love" is from Our Daily Bread Designs Love stampset and is embossed in gold. The butterfly is made using a Sizzix Butterfly Die from SU. The edge of the card is punched with the EK Success- Fleur De Lis punch. The love sentiment is stamped on the Spellbinders Label 4 die cut out and framed with Spellbinders Flourishes and Accents. I added a variety of textures with the Cuttlebug folders.
Paper: White CS
Accessories: Cuttlebug- Swiss Dots, Textile and Swirl Folders, Ek Success Punch- Fleur De Lis, Butterfly Sizzix die from SU, Label 4 Spellbinders, Flourishes and Accents Die from Spellbinders, Hero Arts Pearls
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great weekend!!! For those who live in the USA, enjoy your holiday!!! Thanks for your sweet comments! Although I am away, I will catch up with you all when I get back. I have several posts scheduled, so please stop by again.
blessings,
Chris

Happy Thursday everyone! What a fun day it was yesterday with the Our Daily Bread Designs blog hop. My dt sisters did an amazing job with all of their awesome creations!!! Thanks to all of you who stopped by and left me such awesome comments.

My computer time is very limited since I am not using my own computer due to no internet access to my computer. I miss just being able to click online and do what I need to do. I have spent numerous hours on the phone with tech support (most times the representatives are from India and barely speak English) trying to diagnose the problem and fix it. On Tuesday, I was on the phone for 5 hours with one tech! Yikes! No one can figure out what is not working. Very frustrating. I am not going to just go out and buy a new computer when this one is only a year old and I don't have the money to just throw out.
To offset the string of unfortunate happenings as of late, I was blessed with a lot of exciting blog candy wins. I did not win one but 3 different blog candies yesterday!!! Yikes! That never happens. I won the Clear Dollar Stamps from the Women to Women Blog (Thanks Diane!), a $25 gift certificate from Shirley to Impression-Obsession (Thanks Shirley!), and a gorgeous selection of candy from Michelle at Daydreams by Michelle (Thanks Michelle!!)

Anywho....Today is the Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge! Lori sent us this image as our inspiration from Shopscad.com :
I used the roses in the picture as my inspiration using a gorgeous rose stamp I have in my collection from Stamps Happen(Carolyn Shores Wright). Since the background behind the roses is a clean white, I decided to keep my background clean and white also adding texture like the medallions in the inspiration piece.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Stamps Happen - EnglishRose, SU Only Ovals
Accessories: scalloped oval punch, mega curved spellbinders, prisma color pencils and gamsol, Swiss dots folder, Blue sheer ribbon from Ribbon Bowtique
I hope you enjoyed my inspirational card and that you too are inspired to join in this challenge. If you do create a project with this inspiration, please link a direct link to Lori's blog here. Should you upload to SC please use the keyword DDIC7. For more awesome inspiration and delicious eye candy visit my dt sisters: Keri, Julie, Chat, Angela, and Lori.
Thanks for stopping by today!!! Today I prepare to leave for vacation. We leave tomorrow! Woohoo!! I hope where we are going somewhere where it is NOT raining. LOL!! (We have had rain everyday for over 2 weeks and over 20 inches!!! I have never seen this much rain in this amount of time.) I have scheduled a few posts for while I am gone and I will still be here in the a.m., tomorrow, to upload another creation I wanted to share with you. I will be back from vacation on July 13. Maybe I can then get my computer issues fixed as well.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments and all the eye candy on your blogs. You are all such an inspiration! May your day be full of sunshine!!!
blessings,
Chris

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog Hop and Flutter By Wednesday. Today Kelley is releasing 5 awesome sets of stamps. If you want to see them, just click the link "on the five awesome sets of stamps". Two of the sets, Grow in Grace and the Amazing Grace Hymn were designed by Dina Kowall from Mama Dini's Stamperia. She is such a talented artist! You won't want to miss all the creations by the team for today's blog hop. My second creation uses the Our Daily Bread Designs stamps and the Flutter By Wednesday open challenge to incorporate a butterfly or fairy.

If you have come here for the ODBD blog hop from Jane, you are in the right place. If not, you may want to start at the beginning at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog. There is blog candy along the way at three different blogs so you don't want to miss any stops along the way! Woo hoo! Even I don't know where it is.

Judy, our dt coordinator challenged us to use three ink colors from Our Daily Bread Designs. (Kelley now carries a new line of ink pads made by the same company as Stampin UP. The colors are awesome and they are super juicy and inexpensive too!!) The real challenge was that we didn't know what the stamps were before we chose our colors. The stamps could have been anything! I am so glad I chose sunflower, dusty pink and olive! Woo hoo! Perfect for a dogwood and a lotus!

If you look at the recipe, you will notice I have used a lot of Our Daily Bread Designs items from the store. I am going to cut this short today as far as the details so you can hop to the next place which is Judy! You won't want to miss her awesome creation!!!

Stamps: Amazing Grace, Grow in Grace
Paper: Brenda Walton DP from K&Co.
Accessories: EK Success Fleur De Lis Punch, Hero Arts Pearls, ODBD olive, sunflower. and dusty rose inks, lace, Memory Box Rhinestones

Stamps: Mother Teresa
Paper: Porcelain Prints by Basic Grey, So Saffron, and Pink Pirouette
Accessories, Hero Arts Pearls, EK Success Fleur De lis Punch, Peony Spellbinders, MS Classic Butterfly Punches, ODBD Olive and Sunflower Inks
