Happy Tuesday Everyone!! The sun is out today and it is in the 50's. Woo Hoo!! A gorgeous day and I spent it stamping. Tsk! Tsk on me!

Today I made a card using a new release from Our Daily Bread Designs (Love) that will be available on April 1, tomorrrow. I used the Mojo 80 sketch challenge and Splitcoast's Color challenge CC212 (pink pirouette, riding hood red, and chocolate chip). I love these colors together. I chose my absolute favorite dp from Basic Grey that is available at Our Daily Bread Designs, Porcelain Prints. The dp has the red and pink in their roses. When I was thinking of what I wanted to do with this love set, I really wanted to do roses. I really don't like to mix stamps from different companies for a sneak peek so I had to improvise. I decided to use the challenge idea (TLC207) to cut out the image from DP. I cut out and layered the roses from the same designer paper and placed it next to the verse. It is hard to see in the picture, but I sprayed the roses with pearl glimmermist for some sparkle. The flower in the corner of the image is handcrocheted. It is layered with a pink Pirouette felt flower from SU's flower fusion too and a JW button. The heart pearls and the white pearls were a nice accent and they came from Our Daily Bread Designs. The lace is one of those frugal buys that I was saving for a rainy day. It wasn't rainy today but I felt it was the perfect touch to add more elegance. The ribbon is glittered and that is from American Crafts. (That ribbon I can really hoard. I love it so much). The flourish is a Bosskut flourish.

CARD RECIPE
STAMPS: Our Daily Bread Designs- Love

Paper: BG Porcelain prints, Pink Pirouette, White and Chocolate Chip CS

Accessories: Bosskut Flourish, EK success border punch (on the bottom), lace, hand crochete flower, flower fusion too, Hero Arts pearls, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Textile Embossing folder, Paper piercer

With the exception of the dies and punches, button, crocheted flower, flower fusion too, ribbon and lace, and cardstock all other ingredients are available here at ODBD.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and that you also are enjoying nice weather. It is amazing how a little sun can change your outlook on life! Thanks for visiting and for your comments. They are greatly appreciated!!

Happy Monday Everyone!!! I hope everyone had a restful weekend. I went away for the weekend and spent some time with my family in Boston. It was so nice to take a break from the status quo but it is also so nice to be back home once again. We made it home just in time before the hail and heavy thunderstorm started here. lol!
Today it was windy, cloudy and cold. I am ready for the lamb of March to come out.

Today's card I have to share with you is for Splitcoast Challenge SC221 (sketch challenge) and CC211 (Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, and Pretty in Pink). The stamps I used were Our Daily Bread Designs- Peace on Earth. I watercolored and layered the image. The dp is from Que SERA Lera (K&Co.). The cs is Baja Breeze and chocolate chip. The flowers are created using Spring -Flower Soft also from ODBD. I created extra texture by dry embossing the baja breeze with the Cuttlebug Textile folder. The hardware is from SU Hodgepodge Hardware. I also added cording for the bow, pearls and corners (Vintage Cuttlebug Die). The border is created using the Martha Stewart Lace punch.
Times are tough for so many right now. So many are being layed off or receiving pay cuts. Each week, my husband and I find ourselves holding our breath on what will happen at his job next. Thankfully he still has a job even though cuts are being made. When times are tough, it is so easy to think of what you don't have rather than what you do. When I was in Boston, someone shared this poem with me and I would like to share it with you.
Thank You Lord
Lord, thank your for this sink of dirty dishes, we have plenty of food to eat.
Thanks you for this pile of dirty, stinky laundry; we have plenty of nice clothes to wear.
And I would like to thank you, Lord, for those unmade beds; they were so warm and comfortable last night. I know that many have no bed.
My thanks to you, Lord, for this bathroom, complete with all the splattered mirrors, soggy, grimy towels and dirty lavatory, they are so convenient.
Thank you for this finger-smudged refrigerator that needs cleaning. It has served us faithfully for many years. it is full of cold drinks and enough leftovers for two or three meals.
Thank you, Lord, for this oven that absoluteley must be cleaned today; It has baked so many things over the years.
The whole family is grateful for that tall grass. We all enjoy the yard. My kids are healthy and able to run and play.
Lord, the presence of all these chores awaiting me says You have richly blessed my family. I shall do them cheerfully and I shall do them gratefully.
Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings, Thank you, Lord, that I can hear. There are so many who are deaf.
Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible, Thank you,
Lord, that I can see. Many are blind.
Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising, Thank you, Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are so many who are bedridden.
Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned and tempers are short, my children are so loud, Thank you, Lord, for my family. There are many who are lonely.
Even though our breakfast table never looks like the pictures in magazines and the menu is at times not balanced, there are so many who are jungry.
Even though the routine of my job is often monotonous, Thanks you, Lord, for the opportunity to work. There are many who have jo job.
Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest.
Thank you, Lord, for Life!!!

When I read this poem, it reminded me of how many things I take for granted and how thankful I should be. I hope this is an inspiration to you as well.
I hope you enjoyed today's post. Thanks for visiting my blog today and for any comments. Have a great night (or day)!

Happy Friday All!! I hope everyone had a good day!! Today was very busy. I took a trip with my two girls to see my 94 year old grandmother who lives 2 hours away. She amazes me!! While she is legally blind, she is still independent and living on her own. We had a great visit! My girls love her so and she them. Sometimes they have a hard time understanding her because she reverts back to her native language, Dutch.

Prior to my trip, I was able to complete the limited supply challenge hosted by Judy. I will be sharing that card with you later on in this post.

My first project is the treat basket for Monday's TLC213 challenge. I love to do projects that are different than my norm so this was a lot of fun! I used Penny Black's Easter Egg Hunt stamp for the image on the front of the basket. Since the actual image has 2 bunnies, I cut it out and used only one. The tail is made with liquid applique. The dp is some leftover Crate Paper from my scraps bin. I love the colors!! I added a dry embossed strip (Swiss dot-Cuttlebug), some blue pearls, and ribbon to the handle.

My second project is a card I made today for LCS213 hosted by Judy. The challenge was to limit your embellishments but to use only black and white on your card. I typically add some other color around the borders if I am using black and white so this was different for me. I decided I would use this challenge to make some thinking of you cards for friends going through a difficult time. I chose this comforting verse from Our Daily Bread Design's Fishers of Men set. The flowers are from the Sing to the Lord set also at Our Daily Bread Designs. The butterfly next to the verse is from SU- God's Beauty. The dp is from Walmart and it is called Best Occasion. The pad has some beautiful black and white dp perfect for weddings and many other occasions.
The lace is one of my frugal buys that I figured I would put away until the right project came along. I think it dresses up the card a bit. The scalloped border along the bottom is from EK Success. The pearls are now available at ODBD. I hope this verse gives as much comfort to my friends as it does me.

I hope you enjoyed today's projects. Since I have been stamping everyday this week, I am afraid I am going to go through withdrawal over the weekend when we leave for Boston. I am very much looking forward to getting away though and out of the same routine for a bit. Enjoy your weekend!!

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!!

I hope everyone has had a good day! I know I have. Busy but good. It was a little dreary weather wise with nothing other than clouds and rain but I was still able to get some things accomplished. It feels good to check some things off my list. Tomorrow there is sunshine and warmer temps forecasted here. lol!

Today I would like to share two cards that I have made for different challenges. The first card I made for this weeks' Mojo Monday 79 Sketch Challenge, LSC212 (limited supply challenge to use soft subtles and a flower) and the CC211 (color challenge to use Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink, and Kiwi Kiss) Challenge. The stamp I used for this card is entitled God's Beauty (a hostess set from ODBD) . The butterfly is stamped with Stazon Brown and watercolored using SU Markers. All the images were cut out (TLC207) and popped on dimensionals on an embossed white background. The yummy DP is from K&Co. and SU Parisian Breeze. I used an EK Success punch for the border at the bottom. As a final touch, the card was sewn in white thread and pearls, pink velvet ribbon and flourishes were added (Bosscut flourish). I think it looks very springy! I must say that Baja Breeze is one of my very favorite colors!

The second card I made for this week's OCCC sketch challenge hosted by Kim T, the LSC212 sketch, BVC09 Divine challenge, and the Inpiration Challenge 172. I used one my very favorite Dp from SU called {Parisian Breeze). The stamps are from Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 1 and Sing to the Lord. Again I used my EK Success Border punch and corner punch. I loved how they coordinated so nicely. The verse and flowers were stamped in Stazon Brown and the flowers were watercolored and cut out. I love this yummy ribbon that I received from The Little Ribbon Shop. The silver butterfly and pearls were my final touch.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. I so appreciate your comments. Have a great night!!

Hi All!! I hope everyone's week has begun well. Mine has been very good but busy!! Not too busy though to make some time for making a card or two (even if it means staying up all night)! I have been trying hard to participate in the challenges at SC each day. Many of my cards are going to friends that are going through rough times. I thank God for my health. There are so many of my friends that are going through rough times or are ill right now. My heart and prayers go out for each of them. I hope the cards I make and send will give them some sort of hope or encouragement.
The first card I would like to share with you is one I made using the LSC212 challenge to use a flower and soft subtles to create a card or project. I stamped the Bella Blossom five times in pale plum cut out four different layers and sponged around each piece in perfect plum. Although it is hard to see from the picture, I painted it with lavender shimmerz. The leaves are also layered. (stamped in baja breeze and sponged with old olive.) I used the sketch SC220 from last week's sketch challenge. The yummy paper is from My Mind's Eye. I also embossed a piece of pale plum with my textile embossing folder. I also made a matching treat basket to go with it for yesterday's TLC213 challenge.

The second card I want to share with you is a card I made for Sunday's Featured Stamper Challenge that I am sending to my Aunt and Uncle for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. The featured stamper this week is a great stamper to case!! Congrats Beate!! She is so incredibly talented and it was so hard to just find one. I finally decided on this card found here. It is a joy fold card and I had never made one before so I decided it was about time I tried one. I used the IC172 Inspiration challenge which is an Etsy Daisy Dress found here as my inspiration as well as LSC212 challenge to use a flower and soft subtles. Instead of using the Dreams Du Jour set that Beate did, I used the Sing to the Lord and Scripture Collection 1 sets from Our Daily Bread. The paper I used is my fave!!!! It is Parisian Breeze, SU's new textured specialty paper. Beate had stamped a butterfly background and made one 3D but I decided to use a Sterling Silver Charm from Blue Moon that I got from Michaels. I also added the pearls (available here at ODBd).

Thanks for visiting my blog! I hope I can inspire you like I have been inspired by so many others. Thanks for your comments!!

Happy Sunday Morning!! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend!! The sun is already shining!! It definitely does not feel like spring here but it looks like it! It is 30 degrees here! Still a little cold! I will definitely take the sunshine though! It is funny how a little sunshine can alter your mood and give you some ambition. Since I am in such a springy mood, my cards are starting to look more springy too.

The card I would like to share with you today is an Easter card that I made using SC220.

At first I was a little skeptical about the colors I used but as I went along I love the So Saffron and Pink together. I am trying to stay out of a color rutt where all I use is pinks, browns, blues, purples, and greens so I decided it would be fun to make a more yellowy card. Usually not a yellow type person but I am happy with how this one turned out. Of course, I use my fave Designer paper which retired from SU (Parisian Summer). I should have hoarded more. LOL! the stamp I used is from Penny Black and is called Penny Black Easter Egg Hunt. I stamped it on WC paper and watercolored it with my markers and ink refills. It is a layered image for a 3D look. I have really enjoyed looking at cards with more texture so I too have been making more textured cards. I think the dry embossing, ribbon, crocheted flowers and felt flowers do that. The yummy pink stiched satin May Arts ribbon is from the Little Ribbon Shop on Ebay. The crocheted flowers and handmade with thread you would use for a doiley. I layered them with some Fusion Too flowers from SU and So Saffron Brads. The leaves are a MS punch. I finished the card with one of my MS border punches so the card didn't look so square. Of course, I couldn't have a card without bling! Lol! I added the pearls to the bottom for some elegance. These pearls are Hero Arts pearls and are available here.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post! Thanks as always for your comments!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Spring is on it's way. Today is one of the colder days this week but earlier it was in the 50's and low 60's. Woo hoo! I am so ready for the nicer weather. Soon I can get into my garden. I love watching my perenials come. I really think nature is God's Artistic Masterpiece! Can you find anything more beautiful than the landscape around you. Today I have so much to do that I am running around in circles trying to think of what to do first, so I decided to do my post first.

Yesterday I saw the WT210 Challenge- "Stuck to you, Again" and knew I had to play. I don't normally use stickers so it was a good challenge to help me think outside of the box. I made two cards for this challenge one more inspirational and another that is more fun or cutesy. The first card I made is using the SU By the Sea set (retired). I used some Jolee sticker's to create an ocean scene. The yummy dp is from Best Creations and it fit so perfectly with my theme. That paper I hoarded from a trip I took to Lancaster, PA last spring so I thought it was about time I used it. The image is cut out popped up on dimensionals directly on the dp.
The second card I made uses the newest release from Our Daily Bread Designs called "Scripture Collection 2". I used my friend Angie's favorite verse. Kelley took a favorite verse from each of the dt members and made into a stamp for the One Year Anniversary of ODBD. It is such a great collection and all of these verses can be found in the stampsets Scripture Collection 1 and 2!!! The colors I chose for this card were inspired by the flower stickers I used from EK Success. I didn't want to use just black and white so I looked through my stash of DP and came up with this yummydp with black flocking from Best Creations Inc. It is so textured and beautiful. I used Sketch Challenge 217 for my layout. I love these green pearls that are now offered at Our Daily Bread Designs. They offer blue, pink, green, black and white pearls now! The butterfly behind the verse is a stamp from SU's Priceless set. Believe it or not, that rose button on the ribbon, I found at Walmart!
I hope you enjoyed today's post! Thanks for visiting my blogs and for any comments left. Have a blessed day!

Yesterday was such a fun and exciting day with Our Daily Bread Design's blog hop. Thanks to all of you who participated in the hop and left comments! It is so much appreciated and I hope you had as much fun as I did celebrating the One Year Anniversary Of Our Daily Bread Designs.

Today I would like to share two cards with you that have one thing in common. They both used the TLC212 Ribbon Frame Challenge. I had never done this before and it was so much fun and adds a real neat touch to your cards.
The first card is an inspirational card that uses the sketch from CPS107. TODAY ODBD IS THE FEATURED SPONSOR. You too can play along for another chance to win the You Are the Potter set from ODBD. See the CPS Blog for more details!
My card features the new Our Daily Bread Design's Design Team Scripture Collection 2 stampset, May God Hold You and the new SEI Windsor paper also new to ODBD. I sooooo love this paper. It is so elegant!! The verse is my friend and design team sister, Angie's, favorite verse. (She also made a beautiful card using this same stamp on her card which was featured yesterday. If you have not seen it, you should hop on over and take a look, it will be worth the time.) In addition to completing the challenges TLC212 and CPS107, I also did this week's OCCC Limited Supply Challenge hosted by none other than, Kim Teasdale, the newest dirty dozen member and a past design team member of ODBD (Congratulations Kim!). This challenge was a REAL Challenge for me. Kim's challenge was to use less than 3 layers and only one type of embellishment. I used ribbon for my embellishment and thanks to my nesties I was able to punch things out and fit them like a puzzle piece. What a lot of work, especially using this sketch, but I am happy with the result!!

The second card is a little more cutesy! I used the Bunny Rabbit from High Hopes sent to me in a RAK from my good friend Michelle. Thanks Michelle!!! I participated in the High Hopes Challenge #22 (not to use any designer paper on your card) I used my favorite tool, the cuttlebug, to dry emboss my paper and ink it up to make it look like dp. The Yummy ribbon is May Arts ribbon and it is from Brandi's shop The Little Ribbon Shop on Ebay. The tail is made with liquid applique and glitter to make the fuzzy look. The image is colored with prisma and gamsol, cut out and adhered with dimensionals.

It's a celebrations!!! You may be celebrating Saint Patrick's Day, but we are celebrating the One year Anniversary of Our Daily Bread Designs!!! It was one year ago today that Kelley Holland, the owner of ODBD, opened her doors and began this adventure. What a fun adventure it has been! A year later, Kelley offers much more than inspirational stamps, but a great line of accessories as well, including shimmerz, glimmermist, ornare piercing templates, Memory Box, Basic Grey and SEI papers, and even pearls!!

Thanks for stopping in on your way through our first Blog Hop!! If you didn't know about our blog hop and landed here by chance, there are goodies for you along the way and it's important to hit the blogs in the order of the Hop. You'll want to start out with Dina at Mama Dini's Stamperia. If you followed me here from Amy at Pickled Paper Designs, then you are at the right place! There is blog candy along the way and even I don't know where it is, so be sure to start at the beginning of the Hop so you don't miss it!!

For a special grand prize, we are playing "Scripture Scramble!" Each blog has one or two words that you can collect at each stop and put together to make a scripture verse (NIV edition). Once you have collected all the words, send the verse in the correct order, along with the scripture reference by EMAIL to our DT Coordinator, Judy Rozema, at lidarosaroz@gmail.com. Correct entries wil be put into a hat and the Grand Prize winner will receive a set of their choosing from Our Daily Bread Designs and a selection of cards made especially for this celebration by some of the Bread Basket (aka Design Team members). How cool is that?!! Entries must be received by midnight CST on March 19th.

Here is my scripture Scramble word: poverty

Speaking of scriptures, today is the release of two new scripture sets: Design Team Scripture Collections 1 and 2.. Each of the design team members chose a verse that is special to them and Kelley made it into special anniversary sets that are available for purchase today!!! Here is my cards and framed verse:

The verse I chose is Proverbs 3:5,6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." It is special to me because this is the verse that my mother in law and I often quoted to eachother when hards time hit especially in her hard battle with cancer. Even when she knew she was only going to be here on this earth for a short time longer, she lived this verse among the seizures, surgeries and treatments. When I run into an obstacle in my life, even nine years later after my dearest friend and mother has passed, this is the verse I turn to. There are times when we don't understand but God does.

This verse can be found in the Design Team Collection 2 stampset. The first card features Basic Grey Porcelain Prints DP, pearls and the Design Team Scripture Collection 2 all available at ODBD. Many of the items on the 2nd card were made using materials from Our Daily Bread Designs new line of products, as well, including the Ornare piercing template that I used for piercing, the glimmermist I used on the chipboard, and the heart pearls. The layout on the 2nd card is for the CPS107 challenge. This week Our Daily Bread Designs is their featured sponsor. Today their design team is also featuring Our Daily Bread Designs new sets!

Now, to continue on, next you'll be visiting Angella at Body, Mind, Spirit, and Stamps. Wait until you see what she has to show you. Her creations are always over the top! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I hope you enjoy the blog hop. Thanks for your comments! I really enjoy reading them!!
Happy Monday Morning. My, do the weekends fly by. It was beautiful weather here and a enjoyable weekend to spend with the family!! I did take some time to stamp but spent a lot of time with my girls and hubby too. I was happy to see on Splitcoast that this week's featured stamper is Stacy (aka twinshappy). Stacy was a former Guest Designer at Our Daily Bread Designs. She is so talented and such a sweetheart!!! I just had to case one of her cards. This is the card I cased here. I somewhat kept her layout but changed her small rectangles to circles, changed my dp, my colors, and the stamps used. I also added the scallops along the bottom and the pearls. The yummy brown ribbon is from Brandi's Little Ribbon Shop on Ebay. The stamps are from Our Daily Bread Designs' I am the Way set with the exception of the butterfly which is from SU Priceless. Even the Basic Grey Bittersweet paper and the pearls are from Our Daily Bread Designs. They have so many new papers and accessories!

Today is the seventh day of Our Daily Bread Designs' One Week Anniverary Celebration!! My design team sisters Laurie and Becca will be two sets offered at ODBD. These two girls are truly amazing!!! One of them is also giving away blog candy. Stop on over for a chance to win!! Tomorrow will be a Grand Finale!! We will be having a blog hop and scripture scramble challenge!! What fun!!! First stop for the blog hop will be Dina. So make sure you stop there first!

Thanks for visiting my blog and for leaving a comment!! Have a great day!! The sun is shining here!! Things are looking up!!

I am sorry that I am posting so much later than I had originally planned. I had great intentions. I woke up this morning with a vengeance remembering that I was in charge of refreshements for our Church Sunday School Staff. I totally forgot!!! So guess what I did?..... I baked, baked, baked in quite a hurry. Our Church begins at 9:30 a.m. and I had to get the coffee etc going as well. That left me less than 3 hours to bake my chocolate cream pie, apple pie, and carrot cake as well as have dinner in the oven for when we came home. I did manage to get it made within a few seconds before running out the door but boy did the kitchen look like a cyclone had hit it and I wasn't able to get to my post as I had planned!!!! My husband graciously helped me clean it up before sitting down to lunch and now I have the minute, I needed earlier, to post.

I hope you all have been enjoying this week's ODBD celebration!! Congratulations Kelley on the store's one year anniversary. The store has so much more to offer than just these spectacular stamps. If you have a chance, you should stop here to see how it has expanded to include a greater selection of designer paper (SEI, Memory Box, Basic Grey), ornare paper piecing templates, shiimerz, and even glimmermist and flatback pearls.

I received some happy mail!!!! Angie, my design team sister, thoughtfully sent me this beautiful card!! Isn't it beautiful!!! Thanks Angie!!! Pop on over to see the gorgeous creations she and Sita made as the featured design team members for the day as part of the One Year Anniversary Celebration. Their creations are from two different ODBD sets. Sita and Angie are not only sweet but they are super talented!! You won't want to miss it!!! Besides, one of them has BLOG CANDY!!!!!!

Today is going to have to be a short post since I need to be out the door in 15 minutes!! Today is Our Daily Bread Designs fifth day of their Anniversary Celebration. The featured design team members today are Judy and Jane. Their creations are always awesome and besides one of them has BLOG CANDY! So click on over when you get the chance. For more info on the Anniversary week visit the ODBD Blog!

Since it ODBD Anniversary week and Judy is the host of today's stampset, I also felt it appropriate to honor Judy by casing one of her cards for the BVC09 Divine Challenge and FS109 Featured Stamper Challenge using andODBD stampset called Lift Up Our Hands (Hebrews 11:16). The card I cased is here. I changed the paper, some of the colors, ribbon, stampset, and added the butterflies in keeping with yesterday's challenge (LSC211, Going Buggy). The yummy DP is from SU Tea Party. The pearls on the butterfly are from ODBD. That Luscious ribbon is from Brandi's shop called the Little Ribbon Shop at Ebay. It is a May arts ribbon with stiches on the sides.

Well gotta run!!! Have a great day and don't forget to stop my Judy and Jane's blogs's for awesome cards and maybe.......a treat!!

Thanks for your comments and for visiting my blog!! I love reading them!!

Good Morning!! It is now almost noon!! I am so frustrated with myself. I had wanted to post early this morning after finishing an ODBD card with today's to keep everyone updated on the happenings of this week's Anniversary Happening at Our Daily Bread, but that didn't happen. I had company arrive at 7 a.m. this morning and stay for a few hours. I couldn't really say, ah I really can't visit right now so I went with the flow and had a great visit and then scurried about like a lunatic! Any way here I am with the schedule of events after I share my card for today's limited supply challenge.....

Today I went buggy on challenges. Not only did I include a bug on my card with four layers or less on my card with no designer paper (LSC211) , but I did a lot of other challenges and firsts to boot. My image is stamped and watercolored using the set I Am the Way from Our Daily Bread Designs. Two weeks ago my local scrapbooking store went out of business. I frugally bought some things that were cheap because I couldn't pass up on the deal. One of my frugal finds was 45 yards of this ribbon from American Crafts. I am not usually into too much print ribbon especially stripes but it was a deal!! I got it for $3. (WT207). In order to keep with the challenge of having 4 layers or less and still dimensionalize or cut out my image (cut it out TLC207) and have color (since we couldn't use dp) I made a recessed window. (TLC207). In all of my years of stamping or making cards, I have never made a circular card. This was a real challenge since the nestabilities dies do not go up to 5 inches. I used lids our of my stash of tupperware to trace and cut out the three outside circles. To make the scallops around the edge, I experimented with my scalloped border punch. Who would of thought it would work. IT DID! It is a lot quicker, however, to use a nestabilities if nesties would go that big. lol! I have never sewed in a circle using the zig zag stich. I was a little nervouse that it would go crooked after all of the work I had put into it. Phew! It didn't!! I am really beginning to love, love, love Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy distressed with chocolate chip!! Not using any dp is hard for me but if I have my cuttlebug and some dies..... I will survive!
CARD RECIPE
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- I am the Way, SU Bloomin Beautiful- bee
Paper: Baja Breeze, Sky Blue Textured, Not Quite Navy, white CS, watercolor paper
Accessories: Paper Company Brads, American Crafts Ribbon, Craft hemp, nesties, distresser, sponge, cuttlebug embossing folders (swiss dot and textile), brown thread, sewing machine, glitter

Now for the ODBD One Year Anniversary Celebration, the moment you have all been waiting for.....If you participated in the Our Daily Bread Design's "Bread Basket Scavenger Hunt" the winners are to be posted today on the ODBD Blog. Two more of our my "fellow pastries" (aka design team members) will be featuring two more sets from Our Daily Bread Designs. One of them is giving away BLOG CANDY! Today is day 3 of the week long anniversary celebration to celebrate one year of Our Daily Bread Designs. I hope you are joining us for many wonderful creations, tutorials, fun, and prizes. Today, Angella and I are featuring two different stampsets offered at Our Daily Bread Designs. But don't forget about the scavenger hunt! If you have not emailed your answers to Judy (here), you have until midnight CST tonight!! Three lucky winners will be pulled from the bread basket and announced here tomorrow. For the scavenger hunt list and more details, scroll down to my next post. OH YES!! We have more blog candy to give away and you'll find out where it is after I share a card I made using "The Angel" stampset available at Our Daily Bread Designs.

The Angel stampset is so versatile and can be used for a variety of occasions (Christmas, Easter, Thinking Of You or everyday). When I made this card I had CC208 (to use chocolate chip, passion pink, and Kiwi Kiss) and several of the products available at Our Daily Bread Designs in mind. The image is stamped on using Passion Pink and Chocolate chip. The wings and belt were painted with both pink poinsettia and angel wings shimmerz. Angel offered a wonderful tutorial on how to use shimmerz on her blog on Tuesday. The outside of the image is sponged with close to cocoa. The first panel in the background is paper pierced with an ornare piercing template ( item number 4055584). The designer paper is from Basic Grey's Bittersweet Collection. The third panel is dry embossed with the cuttlebug textile folder. The chocolate cardstock is actually a bronze prismatic metallic paper available at Our Daily Bread designs. The glittered paper in the scallop is from K&C0. I added little pink pearls in the corners from Hero Arts and two corners cut using a cuttlebug vintage die.
I hope you enjoyed today's post. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. Now swing on over to Angella's blog to see another wonderful creation, a tutorial on polyshrink, and to win BLOG CANDY. Angella is amazing and the stampset she is featuring and giving away is my absolute favorite from Our Daily Bread Designs!!

In keeping with the Our Daily Bread Design's Kick off for their Anniversary week, I decided to make a card with one of my favorite sets: Sing to the Lord. I used today's color challenge of rose red, always artichoke and black. It paired perfectly with the yummy Porcelain Prints paper from Basic Grey that I received just yesterday from ODBD. I also used the Mojo 77 sketch, added a doodle on the sentiment for the OCCC challenge, and cut out my watercolored image (TLC207). I have never used always artichoke before. I love this color combination and I will use it again. Most of the materials in this card (DP, paper piercer and mat, Hero Arts Pink and White pearls, Pink Poinsettia Shimmerz, Basic Grey Paper Pad) are available at Our Daily Bread Designs!!! Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone had a good weekend. It was warm here which was a very nice break from the cold. Yesterday the rain began and it looks like rain for the next few days as well. Oh I am so looking forward to the sunshine!

Yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to see that the featured stamper for the week on Splitcoast is none other than my dear friend and design team sister Judy!!! Yeah Judy! Congratulations!! You so deserve it!! Of course I had to take this opportunity and case one of her cards. She is such a sweetheart and so talented too!!! One of Judy's favorite colors is pink so I chose one of her pink cards to case. I kept her layout. I changed the stamps from Pocket Silhouettes to You are the Potter from Our Daily Bread Designs . I also added dry embossing, distressing, buttons, and changed my sewing, sentiment, and ribbon treatment. I macramed the craft hemp to keep with a more Southwestern feel. I also added a doodle flourish to meet the challenge of the OCCC challenge for this week.

My second project was for today's technique lover's challenge and the OCCC challenge for this week. I have never made a treat purse before. It was a lot of fun and I had the opportunity to use my brand new Parisian Breeze paper. I love this paper and I can see this being one of the papers I want to hoard. I also incorporated a doodle using Blue awning chipboard. The flowers are punched out using the Boho Blossom punch. I punched out the butterfly from some Baja Breeze DP. I plan on sending this cute little purse to a dear friend that has been struggling a little lately. Since she is diabetic and a stampaholic I thought I would send her some yummy ribbon, brads, buttons, prima, eyelet, and etc. I hope it brings a smile!

Hello all! Another busy day but I managed to get two cards done thanks to Dawn's Limited Supply Challenge. Normally My cards take me a few hours since I am so detail oriented. Not today!!!! Dawn's challenge was to complete a card in less than 30 minutes. I have several birthday and thinking of you cards to do so I decided to play along imbetween my very hectic day. I can't believe I actually could do a card in that short a time!!! Granted when I was done with each of these challenges, my craft space looked like a tornado hit it!! Oh well! I love challenges.

My first card uses the Keep My Lamp Burning set from ODBD. I needed to make a birthday card for my nephew whose birthday was two days ago. Oops!!! I hope this handmade card makes up for being late. I completed the limited supply challenge and SC218. I used River rock and some cool designer paper called Antique Sea Glass Antique Map which was absolutely perfect for this set. I found it at the craft store today and knew right away that I had to use it with this set. I tried to very quickly distress the edges on the card. I was able to distress quickly but sliced my fingers twice and broke a nail in the process. I am very much into texture lately so I added lace and craft hemp, crimped the stips, dry embossed the background, and distressed the edges for a more rustic look.

The second card uses Upsy Daisy from Stampin Up. I completed three challenges in this card. First was SSnotime77 hosted my Sharon at No time to stamp. The challenge was called Heat it Up. Sharon wanted you to emboss on your card. I stamped the image in craft Chocolate Chip and embossed it in clear. The butterfly is also dry embossed with the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder and embossed in clear for a glossy appearance. The second challenge I used was today's limited supply challenge, completing a card in less than 30 minutes. The last challenge was Mojo 76 sketch challenge. I made this for a wife to one of my husband's coworkers that had 50% of her lung removed due to cancer. I hope she likes it and that it brings a smile to her face.
CARD RECIPE 1
Paper: Sea Glass Antique Antique Maps- K&Co., River Rock CS, and Chocolate textured
Accessories- Paper Co. Brads, pearl, vintage cuttlebug plate, Wright lace, crimper, embossing folder
CARD RECIPE 2
Stamps: Upsy Daisy SU
Paper- Bella Rose, Pink Piroette DP, Chocolate Bazzill, Pink Pirouette CS
Accessories: pink pearl, American Crafts ribbon, Swiss dot embossing folder, nestabilities
Thanks for visiting my blog!!! I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend. It is suppose to be 61 degrees here. woo hoo!!! A spring tease. Next week it goes back to the 30's. I'll take a day here and there!!!
Thanks for your comments!! I really love reading them!!
Oh .... How can I forget I WON THE BLOG CANDY FROM KREATE WITH ME 2's random drawing. I received a $20 gift certificate for an ETSY store! Thanks Jackie!!

Happy Wednesday All!! Today I have two cards to share with you. I know I listed my other card later last night and many of you probably didn't see it but I really wanted to post these cards for today's challenge. If you are interested, you can scroll down to my next post.
The first card, today, is for the Whiff of Joy Sketch challenge/ Guest Designer Call and CC208 Color Challenge (Kiwi Kiss, Pink, and Chocolate Chip). I love Whiff of Joy so I figured I would atleast try the sketch even if hundreds applied also. I received my Spring set of Stamps from Whiff of Joy last week and was so happy to ink up my first one. They are so adorable. I used the stamp Willow Sitting with the floral wreath and their butterfly. I colored it with gamsol. I had a very difficult time finding designer paper with the color challenge colors but I finally did find it! Basic Grey comes through for me again!!!

MY second card uses Roxi's Wednesday sketch challenge. I even posted it before 11:00 a.m. I can't believe the number of people who had already uploaded their cards. They must get up at the crack of dawn. I was up at 4:00 a.m. to finish these cards since I have a very busy day. Lol!! Roxi's challenge was for clean lines using all squares but I wanted some texture so I added the lace, craft hemp, dry embossing, distressing, and pearls. I wanted a shabby chic kind of look and I think I accomplished that. I had a difficult time finding a long and narrow stamp so I dusted of my Watercolor Garden 2 set and used that. The one piece of designer paper I used was from retired SU Western Sky. I have been hoarding it. It goes so nicely with the new in colors (Baja Breeze).
CARD RECIPE
CARD 1
Stamps- Whiff of Joy Willow sitting with floral wreath, butterfly
Paper-Basic Grey Sugared, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip
Accessories- Fiskars punch, Wright Lace, Pink Pirouette Ribbon, pearls, and glitter
CARD 2
Stamps- SU Watercolor Garden 2
Paper- Western Sky retired SU, Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, white
Ink- Bayou Blue, Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, and Garden Green
Accessories: hemp, buttons, lace, American crafts ribbon, crimper, textile embossing folder, brown and white thread, glitter
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope everyone is having an enjoyable day. Thanks for leaving me comments. I so enjoy reading them!!

I hope every one had a wonderful day today. Mine went well although I did not accomplish everything I set out to today. I have a short post for you today.

Jackie from Kreate With Me 2 posted a sketch challenge on her blog this week. I really enjoy viewing her wonderful creations and it looked like a fun challenge so I decided to play along. I have many friends that are going through difficult times that I really would like to send cards to. In addition to the sketch, you could use only the colors that were in your designer paper. I had fun! It is a little less detailed than I normally make my cards but I really like how it turned out. I used the stamps A Rose is a Rose from SU and The Cross of Christ from Our Daily Bread Designs for the sentiment. The paper is Bella Rose DP from SU, Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette CS.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping by!! Tomorrow I hope to share a card I am working on using a Whiff of Joy stamp and todays Splitcoast Color Challenge.

Happy Monday Everyone!!! After not accomplishing much in the way of stamping over the weekend, I was bound and determined to get something done today. I love this stamp and just never had the time to use it. The inside of the card uses the May God Hold you set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I wanted to use this set because this card is intended for a dear friend of mine that has been having a tough time lately. I hope this will brighten her day just a little.

The second card uses the "You are the Potter" Set from Our Daily Bread Designs that was released yesterday. I love this set!! The flowers are from the Sing to the Lord set also available at ODBD. I used splitoast's CC206 color challenge for this card which is using more mustard, rose red, and Kiwi Kiss or Old Olive.
