Happy Sunday all!! I hope you are enjoying your Sunday.  Sundays are one of my favorite days  of the week when I feel rejuvenated.  I have the opportunity to go to church and receive an awesome message, sing, and spend quality time with the family.

I am just popping in to share a card I made yesterday for the Inspiration Challenge at SC.

I just love the vintage flair of the Bella Cottage site for yesterdays IC408 challenge that I just had to share a creation using the sneak peek Glory To God Chalkboard from Our Daily Bread Designs. I just love the pink, black and gold color combo with the chalkboard feel of this truffles and flowers print . Instead of using roses, I used poinsettias in keeping with my Christmas theme. To make the chalkboard look like a chalkboard I sponged white kraft ink over the image/sentiment panel.

The ornaments are created with the ODBD Fancy Ornaments die and the ODBD Fancy Foliage dies.
I am entering this into the Word Art Wednesday challenge which is Anything Goes.  Word art Wednesday shares free inspirational scripture and sentiments each week!!

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you were inspired in some way by my creation.  Have a blessed day!!!

Hi Friends!! I hope you are enjoying the weekend.  After just spending time with a dear friend for lunch, I was rejuvenated and ready to have fun stamping.  I looked at the Inspiration site at Splitcoast where they had gorgeous vintage furniture, bedding, prints and etc.  I was especially taken with these white scrolled chairs....so I just had to join the fun and make a card with  Candy Cane Verses a new stamp set to be released on October 1 at OUR DAILY BREAD DESIGNS.

I stamped the sentiment from Candy Cane verses on Neenah White cardstock and framed/cut it with the Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2 die and matted it on a scrolled oval embossed piece of white to mirror the scrolls on the chairs.

Hello Friends!! I hope this post finds you all well.  It has been so different with the weather this week.  It feels like FALL!!  The nights are cool but it warms up in the 70's during the day.

Since it feels like fall, why not make it look like fall too.  I just love when the leaves on the trees change colors.

I made this card for three challenges at Splitcoast as well as a few others in blogging world. First and foremost I created this to honor our queen last week... Cheryl Scrivens(QFTD180)! Cheryl is my dear sweet friend and one of the most talented stampers I know. I am so honored to have this opportunity to case her. I chose this beautiful CAS card to case : using her basic layout and embossing the background with a Tim Holtz Brick Wall background but using my corner rounder as a border punch on three sides (CAS237) and brayering real leaves in tangerine tango and green galore (challenge TLC446) and then adding the Two step Butterfly from Our Daily Bread Designs.

The sentiment is from Apples and was chosen specifically for Cheryl!! Anyone who knows Cheryl knows that Faith is something she has a great deal of...if it would not have been this quote, it would have been her favorite verse: Proverbs 3: 5,6!! Thanks for being such a dear friend and inspiration in so many ways Cheryl!!

Happy Monday all!! I hope you all had a great weekend!! The weather was gorgeous here...not to hot and not too cool.  Perfect!! We had a great weekend catching up around the house outside and having campfires at night.

Today I would like to share a card I made using the sketch at Splitcoast Stampers this past week.  The sketch looked so unique and beautiful.

The sketch included three circles and a horizontal strip.  My circles are ornaments. I decided to make an elegant card using these ornaments ( Custom Fancy Ornament Die Set ) just released by ODBD and the sentiment from Holly Wreath . The sentiment tag is cut and mounted using the Antique labels and Borders Die

The ornaments are die cut out of aqua glitter paper, silver foil cardstock, and a piece of vellum embossed with holographic embossing powder and adhered to gold cardstock.

The bottom border is created with the Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders 1 die.

The background is Very Vanilla paper embossed with a Stampin Up Poinsettia
Embossing folder.

Challenges I am entering my creation in:
Timeless Tuesdays #287--make a good impression (use dry embossing)
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge #141--cut it out
Loves Rubberstamps--have a sentiment on the front

Thanks for stopping by!!
May God Bless you!!

Hello Friends!! I hope you all are having a wonderful week!!  It is hard to see if it is actually Fall or summer here.  One day it seems a bit cooler and then the hot humid weather is back...Well since today it is warmer...I am thinking cooler temperatures, snow, and Christmas...LOL!

Today I would like to share a Christmas card I created with Our Daily Bread Designs Jingle Bells . My background is created by inking a snowflake embossing folder with white craft ink, inserting Cool Carribean paper and then running it through my Grand Caliber. The image was colored with copics and then run through an embossing folder (Square Lattice embossing folder)

I love the song Ring the Bells!!

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Jingle Bells
Paper: Cool Carribean
Ink: Black Memento, Copics, White Craft ink
Accessories: silver cording, snowflake embossing folder, Square Lattice Folder SU, Spellbinders Classic Ovals, Floral Ovals, Pearls

I love the song Ring the Bells that tells the Christmas story and prophesies what He has done for us!!  What a gift!!

Ring the Bells

Matthew 1:16
"And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary,
of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ."

divider

Ring the bells, ring the bells, let the whole world know,
Christ was born in Bethlehem many years ago.
Born to die that man might live, came to earth new life to give,
Born of Mary, born so low, many years ago.
God the Father gave His Son, gave His own beloved One,
To the wicked sinful earth, to bring mankind His love, new birth.
      Chorus
Ring the bells, ring the bells,
      Let the whole world know
      Christ the Savior lives today
As He did so long ago!
Ring the bells, ring the bells, what a glorious morn!
Men and angels worship Him, singing, Christ is born!
Born to die on Calvary, born to set His people free,
God Himself in human form, tell it!  Christ is born.
He has left His royal throne, He has come to claim His own,
Christ the Lord has come to earth, go spread the news of Jesus' birth.

      Chorus
Ring the bells, ring the bells,
      Let the whole world know
      Christ the Savior lives today
As He did so long ago!

Hello Friends!! Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the light challenge at our Daily Bread Designs.  This week's challenge is get ready for Christmas...Christmas will be here before you know it.

I just love Christmas with the joy that the gospel message brings of that Christ was born as a baby ....What a gift Christmas and Easter bring.  As lowly and sinful as we are...He came for us...just like the little drummer boy...what can he give Him as poor as he is.  None of us have anything to give...that is why Christ's birth and death is Grace.  Thank you Jesus!

Here is my creation using the Little Drummer Boy, O little town of Bethlehem, Holly Wreath and Fancy ornaments Dies and  Recipe and Tag dies (Customized dies for ODBD made by Spellbinders).

Our Daily Bread Designs, Chris olsen, Little Drummer Boy, Holly Wreath, o Little Town of Bethlehem, Fancy Ornaments Dies, Recipe and Tags dies

Happy Monday Friends!! I hope you have had a great weekend!!  I did!!  No time for crafting as I was away but I have a card I made  for Thursday's WT443 challenge Sweet as Honey Challenge at Splitcoast . The challenge was to use mostly black and yellow, bees or honeycomb on your card or project.

While looking for bees, honey, honeycomb or yellow, I realized how much of a yellow fan I am not. I only had two little swatches of yellow ribbon in my stash. I managed to find a couple of bee stamps but I went with one from the Happy Mother's Day set at Our Daily Bread Designs to match my sentiment from Apples . The bees seemed like a pun on words with the "I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck..." I know a little sappy but what can one want so early in the a.m.  I began this card at 5 a.m.

I made this for one of my dear daughters as I know my dear hubby would think this is a little over the top or lame. LOL!
