Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

Since today is Sunday, that means we have a new Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge this week.

This week's host is Linda and she chose the verse: Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Do we dilgently seek him? When we pray, do we believe that He is there listening and answering our prayers or are we going through the motions? There is a verse that states Therefore whatever you ask for prayer, believed that you have received and it will be yours. Mark 44:24. How powerful faith is! Do you have that faith? I do think you need to be careful though when looking at this verse, however, because you can pray a sister is healed from Cancer or that you receive a million dollars and believe it and not receive it. I think this verse means what you ask that is within his plan. What a comfort to have the Faith and know He is there to seek at any time!

Linda challenged the team to Use a heart on your card or project, it can be on your DP, an image or an embellishment.

For my box, I used the Bag it Up template by Leigh Ann Baird available at the Wild flower Patch shop and the God Loves You sneak peak from Our Daily Bread Designs to be released on June 1.
The bookmark uses the Sneak Peek of Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Series Collection 1 and God Loves You sets to be released on Tuesday, June 1. I made this set to cheer up a friend and encourage after the loss of her son. I try to send something to her weekly.

Challenges:
StampInsanity Rubber Stamps- bookmark
Abc Challenge- V is for Vintage
Pink Elephant- Bright Fun Colors
Stamp for the Weekend- Thinking of you or Cheer up card or project
Delightful Sketches- texture
ooh La la- use the colors of the challenge blog- purple and pink

Happy Saturday Everyone!! I hope you all are having a great start to your weekend. It is so exciting to have my husband home for three days and to actually have the opportunity to get some things done this weekend in the yard. I can't wait to get started. The results are so worth it.

Anywho....today is Saturday and time for another Shining the Light Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.

This week the challenge team is you to use stars and/or stripes on your creation. Since Memorial Day is coming up, we thought this may be fun. Please note that your card or project can be patriotic but it does no
t have to be.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, June 3. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

For my creation, I had so much fun inking up the new Our Daily Bread Designs sneak peak From Me To You. I just love Fuscia flowers and this set has them!!
For my card I used the Midnight Madness Sketch. I had completed this card on Tuesday when the sketch was posted on the Midnight Madness blog. It was so hard to wait until today to share it. After being on the MMDT for a year, I guess I too am a creature of habit. I must say it is fun being a sketch player though as much as I miss the team.
Here I go babbling again...sorry...I used some newer dp carried at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog from the Memory Box Frond collection. For my stripes I used American Crafts ribbon.

card recipe:
stamps:

Happy hump day everyone!! It is hard to believe it is Wednesday already. The week is just flying by. Today looks like a hot one here!! Almost 100 degrees and VERY HUMID. Life is always so eventful at the Olsen household. Monday my hubby came home from the Emergency room after slicing two of his fingers on sheet metal and needing stitches...yesterday my youngest daughter woke up with a rash on her face we thought she had hives...well it wasn't hives...it is poison ivy. This a.m she woke up and it is worse...now her eyes are almost swollen shut.
Since Meghan is miserable my time is limited today. So today is a short post.

The card I created today uses Angelica's Heart Socks from Inky Impressions. I used the Crazy 4 Sketch for this week.

I made it to coordinate with this box that I created with Bag it Up template by Leigh Ann Baird available at the Wild flower Patch shop.

I will add more to this post later...I just got a doctor appointment for my daughter and I need to take her right now. Have a great day!!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I hope you are having a bright and beautiful day where you are like we are having here. It is still early and the sun is shining brightly. It is suppose to be warm so I hope to go out early and plant flowers in all my window boxes.

Speaking of bright and cheery....I have a very bright and cheery card to share with you today (for me anyway) A Spoon Full of Sugar is celebrating their 2 year Blogaversary!!! so for this weeks Challenge it is to make a Celebration Card!!! There will be 2 prizes given away this week for one lucky participant!!! One from Whimsy Stamps and the other from Bunny Zoe Crafts!!!! So pop on over and join in the fun this week HERE!!!

Debbie asked the Whimsy Design Team if we would be Guest Designers to help celebrate their Blogaversary!!! For my creation today I made a Birthday Card using this wonderful Whimsy Image from the Crissy Armstrong Digital Collection called Party Snail. I used the Friday Sketchers sketch for this week and SEI Birthday Party. I even had the opportunity to use my much neglected Tangerine Tango dp. Since I was using one of Crissy's images, I could not pass up the opportunity to join in her Sunday's With Crissy challenge which was to use layers. Not at all too difficult for me. LOL!

Crissy Armstrong is also offering a free image inspired by Jayme. If you have not heard...Jayme is my Whimsy dt sister, Lisa's sister who has terminal lung cancer. . Lisa has a special request on her blog regarding her sister Jayme. Lisa is asking us to send a card to Jayme. She'd like us to send a funny card (with a frog if we have one!) but not a get well card, to give her sister some joy and smiles at this time. She is offering a huge blog candy to a random participant and many companies have donated to the cause. Please see the details on her post HERE.

card recipe:
stamps: Whimsy Image from the Crissy Armstrong Digital Collection called Party Snail, Whimsy Ticket sentiments designed by Ann of Raindrop Echo Designs

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend!! I know I did...did not accomplish much blogging or crafting but had some quality time with my family!! I sometimes feel I slight them with my addiction to crafting. So I feel so good about taking the time out for the girls and Scott. Now, however, I am feeling slightly behind. Oh well.

Since today is Monday it is time for the product spotlight at Stamp and Create. For the next two weeks, Lacey has all her Shimmerz on sale for 25 % off! So be sure and visit Lacey's vast selection of colors soon before they are gone.

Also, don't forget about the ribbon challenge that is going on all month at the store blog! Lacey is giving away a FABULOUS prize! And all you have to do to enter is use any stamps available at Stamp and Create along with some ribbon on your project! So many of us love using ribbon and since she has so many different lines of stamps, it is so easy to join the challenge ((you don't have to purchase the stamp from her, there are so many different companies that Lacey carries in the store including Penny Black, Greeting Farm, Wags n Whiskers, Popcorn Bear, Stampavie, Kraftin Kimmie, My Heart Stamps for you, CC Designs, High Hopes, and Whiff of Joy that it is hard to not to join us!!)

Here is my creation using a new Whiff of Joy Image in Lacey's store from the Get Well collection: Sick Henry. Since I was feeling sick last week this just seemed like the perfect card to make. The mouse looked like I felt. LOL!
I took this photo in my backyard so I could capture a lot of the shimmerz I used. The flourish die cut uses Angel Wings Shimmerz and then I distressed it with chocolate chip ink. The little roses are ivory yellow roses that I painted with Opal shimmerz. I also added shimmerz to the bigger Lilliput rose to blend it in with my mauve color combo. The ears and tail were accented with Opal Shimmerz as well. Lastly, I distressed my oval with chocolate chip and opal shimmerz.
What do you think? The layout uses the Lili of the valley sketch for this week:

The dp is the Basic Grey Capella that has tones of pink and yellow and brown in it.

Card Recipe:
stamps: WOJ Sick Henry
paper: Basic Grey capella, Ivory CS, Pink Pirouette
Accessories: Shimmerz: angel wings and opal, Mauve silk ribbon, butterfly charm, labels 10 spellbinders, Teaberry-Lillyput rose, Kaiser Craft snow white pearls,

challenges:
Lili of the Valley Sketch
Whiff of joy- yellow and brown (used subtle brown for coloring and distressing as well as in dp) and one other color (I chose pink)
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday- chipboard (my flourish that I painted with shimmerz0
Flutter by Wednesday- flowers and butterfly
Papertake Weekly- say it with flowers
Stamp something: use two of something (2 designer papers)
Sew Many Challenges: anything goes
Creative Belli- holes (I pierced the oval around my image)
Charisma cards- 3d I dimensionalized the image and added lots of details for added dimension
Crazy Challenge- All things girly
Spoonful of Sugar: cute and girly
Crafty Creations: encouragement
Totally Gorjuss: Bling it on
Stampavie: Flower Power

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Sorry it took me so long to get this posted but blogger caused me a lot of technical difficulties today!! Grr!!

For more inspiration using the shimmerz, please visit my dt sisters:
Joy, Jeanette, Sharon and Lacey.

Have a great day!!!

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope everyone has been having a great weekend! I know I have. I did not accomplish much but my dear hubby sure did!! Ever have one of those sent for and could not quite make it days....I did this weekend...but I must say I did a lot of relaxing.

Today is suppose to be rainy....after church would be a good nap and crafting day!!

Well...since it is Sunday, it is time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge. This week's challenge is hosted by the sweet, inspirational and talented PeggySue.

PeggySue chose the verse: Isaiah 64:6 KJV "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

This is the miracle upon miracles of the entire Bible that although sinful by nature and so weak and temporary, that God sent His son to die for us and make us clean again in His eyes. What a gift.
To go with this verse, PeggySue has chosen this challenge:

Use distressing or sponge the edges of your project, any chosen technique to give it a vintage or distressed look.

For my creation I used the Sweet Pea set I won at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge. I have had my eye on this set for what seems like forever and I could not wait to ink it up.

I used the sketch from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch challenge and incorporated the Timeless Tuesday challenge from Flourishes as well. The challenge there was to use chipboard. I created a chipboard frame by cutting cardboard to go behind my embossed frame giving it more dimension. The dp is too different designs of Pink Pirouette designer paper that I distressed and stamped over with a Stampin up flourish as well as the Sweet Pea. The image is watercolored.

What do you think? I can't wait to ink this image up again sometime!!

card recipe:
stamps: Flourishes Sweet Pea, Stampin Up flourish
Paper: Pink Pirouette dp (2 designs), bazill brown, ivory
Accessories: MS pearls, lace, butterfly charm from my dear friend America

Challenges:
Mercy's Tuesday Sketch challenge
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday: Chipboard
Pollycraft Monday: Summer blooms
Flutter by Wednesday- butterflies and flowers
Papertake Weekly: Say it with flowers
ABC Challenge - Unused stash (pink pirouette dp)
Stamp Something- two of something-two pearls
Crafty Ann's - lot's of color-can be many colors or mostly one color-I went with mostly pink
Sew many Challenges: anything goes

Penny's Challenge: recipe (1 ribbon or lace, 3 embellishments, and 2 dp's)

For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters: Candace , Grace , Kathy, Kristine , Linda, Lisa, Peggysue, Randi

If you should create a card or project for this challenge, please leave a direct link here. Should you upload your creation to SC or PCP, please use the keyword SSIC40.

If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC14. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge:
For my creation I used the Midnight Madness Sketch # 54. I had used this sketch one time earlier this week but I thought it was perfect with a sentiment rather than and image....less busy.

Happy Hump Day Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great week!! Unfortunately the weather has been very dreary and raining and both my girls are sick. Now that is depressing!!! They must have caught some sort of flu in Virginia....
Anywho...Today is Wednesday and time for another Inky Impressions Challenge...

Since it is May, many of us are thinking FLOWERS. Rather than challenge you to just using flowers, the Inky Impressions team is challenging you to choose two from our recipe of sorts using the letters in flowers. For example:
Choose two letters from:
F: flowers or faux (faux stitching, faux suede, faux leather...)
L: Lace or lacing
O: circles or circle embellishments (brads, pearls, etc)W: Water coloring, Wax Paper Resist
E: embossing or easel
R: Ripping, Distressing, tearing or ribbon

Since Stamp and Create is also sponsoring the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, I thought it would be appropriate to use the Midnight Madness sketch and one of the Wags n Whiskers stamps available at the Stamp and Create store to make a card. This is a birthday card for a sweet nephew of mine using Speed Racer and Basic Grey June Bug Paper. I don't often do male cards ....This sketch was loaded with buttons and I am sure my little nephew will be mesmerized with all of them and the colors. Hopefully he does not rip all the buttons off. LOL!
