Hello Friends!! I hope this post finds you all well!!

Today is a beautiful day!  The sun is shining and the humidity is less. Prayerfully I can go out with Scott when he returns home!!

Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at ODBD!!  This week's challenge is Happy Birthday!!  It is perfect for me as I have both my daughter's birthday's in the next two weeks.

Here is my creation for my sweet Nicki's birthday on Friday using Bloom, Iris, and Peaches from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I also used the ODBD Elegant Ovals  and Beautiful Borders die as well as a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval.  The embossed background is Sizzix x and o's embossing folder.

I had a lot of fun creating this scene by masking the iris and foxglove images 4 times each and then coloring them with copics.  The sentiment is recessed and not popped up on top of the card.  Only the scalloped edge is raised.

Hello Friends!!  I hope you are all enjoying your week.  The week seems to be so much longer when you are confined to the couch with only my daily Physical Therapy and exercises to occupy my time.  I have to say, however, that I have been so blessed to have my parents staying with me to help me as well as my girls.  While creating takes much more time with all the pain and inconvenience of being on the couch, I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to create to help pass the time and give me a feeling of purpose.

Here is one I created using Our Daily Bread Designs- Rose Bouquet and Cherry Blossom as well as the ODBD Decorative Vase die.

After die cutting the vase and raising the raised portion of the die, I embossed it in silver. The designer paper is My Mind's Eye-Happy Day. The embossing folder is Anna Griffin-Poppies. The border along the bottom is Spellbinders Curved Borders one.  The oval at the top is Imperial Gold Labels 4.

I want to thank my loving daughters again for helping me get everything I need and bringing it to me on the couch. I am so thankful for the patience and helpfulness!! I am so blessed!!

Ephesians 5:20
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Ephesians 5:20

Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

I have so much to be thankful for, we all do!  We have so many things we take for granted...each step...each breath...waking up to a new day...Thank you for another day, Lord!!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a blessed evening!!

hugs,

Hello friends!! It seems like forever since I have been able to make a card or post a card, here, on my blog.  So much has happened in the last few weeks.  While I am going through so much health wise right now, I have so much for sparing my life.

A little over three weeks ago I broke my ankle, dislocated my knee and tore a bunch of ligaments in my left leg while doing mulch in our backyard.  What seemed like just an injury, turned out to be life threatening as I had massive blood clots go into my lungs three days later which they found after I had a major black out.  I praise God for the nurses and doctors while I was in the hospital who gave me such tender loving care for the 12 days I was there as well as the healing He gave me, sparing my life!!! God is so Good!!  The doctors and nurses marveled and were amazed at how I progressed and told me several times how they could not believe I made it through.  I feel like I have a second chance at life.  I guess God still has a plan for my life here on earth and He is not finished with me yet!!  It is frustrating as I experience so much pain and it seems like my knee seems to be getting worse, but I know God is in control.  I pray God will continue to heal me and that I can honor Him in all I do. Thanks to so many how many who have sent me emails, cards and who are praying for me!!

While I am currently immobile and it is very hard to craft with my injuries, I am so blessed to have two darling daughters to assist me cutting with my dies etc and fetch all I need.  Here is a card I created for this week's Shining the Light challenge: White on White using the new ODBD Aster Dies, Decorative Vase Die, and Rose stamp set as well as the ODBD Recipe and Tags Die. The embossing folder is from the Sizzix Birds and Wreath embossing folder set and this particular folder is Wreath, Elegant (A2 large).
