Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend and that the weather is nice.  We are visiting with my sister and brother in law this weekend and today we take the long trek back home...Please bear with me today as I was in such a hurry before we left that this may be a short post or I may miss something. Infact I made this card at 3 a.m. LOL!  I apologize in advance.

Today it is time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge!!  This week's host is my dear friend Kristine Breach.  Kristine chose the verse:

Ecclesiastes 3:14 "I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him."

Kristine's challenge at Stampin Sisters:
Follow the sketch to a "T" - not adding anything to it, or taking anything away from it.

Here is Kristine's sketch:

This week's sponsor is Sweet and Sassy.  The Winner can select 3 digitals of their choice.

For my card, I used an exclusive line of stamps available at our dt sister, Lisa's, new store, the Craft's Meow, called Little Freida!!!! I just love this darling little Frieda's Daisy image She was so fun to color and paper piece!!  If you have not seen Lisa's store, you should really check it out, in addition to the Little Freida and Friends line, she has many stamp kits, and stamps designed by the talented Nina B!!

Back to my card.....  My papers are from the Prima Madeline collection.  The base is Textured Pink Pirouette from Stampin up.  Within the circle panel I placed some ZVA Creative roses and a pink flower I received in a RAK.  I also used my SB classic circles die and , a MS butterfly punch and my Martha Stewart fence punch.

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are enjoying the weekend.  Today is suppose to be our first day of sunshine after 7 straight days of rain.  Woo hoo!! I need the sun to motivate and boost my mood!!

Anywho...Today is another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.  This week, the challenge is hosted by my dear friend: Grace.

Grace has chosen the verse:
Proverbs 10:20-21 "The tongue of the righteous is as choice silver, the heart of the wicked is worth little. The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of understanding.

In the Bible God often speaks about the tongue and using it in the correct way.  Tongues that speak evil or mean or cutting words are very harmful.  How many have heard the words" "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me." This saying is so untrue. We should watch what we say, using words that lift each other and encourage one another not for hurt.

Grace has challenged us to:
Create a card/ project that encourages and use a touch of silver.
For my creation I used the fun Flower girl image from My Favorite Things, Our Sponsor this week!!  I just love these little Pure Innocence images.  They really are so fun to color!  The star behind the image is actually created using the Whimsy Shapeology Banner Pendant dies.  The flower is created with the My Favorite Things Rolled Flower die.

Card recipe:
stamps: My Favorite things- Pure Innocence Flower Girl
paper: Kaisercraft Utopia, Kraft cs, Bitter chocolate cs
Accessories: My Favorite Things Rolled Flower die, lace, Martha stewart leaf punch
Whimsy Shapeology Banner Pendant dies

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great weekend!!  Today marks the third day of sneak peaks at Whimsy and it is also a new challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ!!!

While most of the designers at Whimsy are using the fun  Kenny K images for their sneak peaks, I asked for special permission to share a Meljen's new release today since it fits absolutely perfectly with the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge which I have the honor of hosting!!

For the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge I chose the verse:
Psalm 121:2-4 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.  He will not let your foot slip, he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

I am not going to go into full detail sharing my complete devotional since it will be redundant of what is already posted on the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge blog, but I would like to share a poem which I also shared there that was shared with me by my dear friend Fhiona.  It fits perfectly with this verse and really touched my heart when I read it.

The Tea Cup
Love this story or not, you will not be able to have tea in a tea cup again without thinking of this. There was a couple who took a trip to England to shop in a beautiful antique store to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They both liked antiques and pottery, and especially teacups.  Spotting an exceptional cup, they asked "May we see that?  We've never seen a cup quite so beautiful."
As the lady handed it to them, suddenly the teacup spoke, "You don't understand. I have not always been a teacup. There was a time when I was just a lump of red clay. My master took me and rolled me pounded and patted me over and over and I yelled out, "Don't do that. I don't like it! Let me alone." but he only smiled, and gently said;  "Not yet!"
Then WHAM! I was placed on a spinning wheel and suddenly I was spun around and around and around. "Stop it! I'm getting so dizzy!  I'm going to be sick!", I screamed. But the master only nodded and said, quietly; 'Not yet.'
He spun me and poked and prodded and bent me out of shape to suit himself and then he put me in the oven. I never felt such heat. I yelled and knocked and pounded at the door. "Help! Get me out of here!" I could see him through the opening and I could read his lips as he shook his head from side to side, 'Not yet'.
When I thought I couldn't bear it another minute, the door opened. He carefully took me out and put me on the shelf, and I began to cool. Oh, that           felt so good! "Ah, this is much better," I thought. But, after I cooled he picked me up and he brushed and painted me all over The fumes were horrible. I thought I would gag. 'Oh, please, Stop it, Stop, I cried”. He only shook his head and said. 'Not yet!' Then suddenly he put me back in to the oven. Only it was not like the first one. This was twice as hot and I just knew I           would suffocate. I begged. I pleaded. I screamed. I cried I was convinced I would never make it. I was ready to give up. Just then the door opened and he took me out and again placed me on the shelf, where I cooled and waited and waited, wondering "What's he going to do to me next?"
An hour later he handed me a mirror and said 'Look at yourself.' And I did. I said, That's not me; that couldn't be me. It's beautiful. I'm beautiful!!!
Quietly he spoke: 'I want you to remember, then,' he said, 'I know it hurt to be rolled and pounded and patted, but had I just left you alone, you'd have dried up. I know it made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I had stopped, you would have crumbled. I know it hurt and it was hot and disagreeable in the oven, but if I hadn't put you there, you would have cracked. I know the fumes were bad when I brushed and painted you all over, but if I hadn't done that, you never would have hardened. You would not have had any color in your life. If I hadn't put you back in that second oven, you           wouldn't have survived for long because the hardness would not have held. Now you are a finished product. Now you are what I had in mind when I first began with you.'"
The moral of this story is this: God knows what He's doing for each of us. He is the potter, and we are His clay. He will mold us and make us and expose us to just enough pressures of just the right kinds that we may be made into a flawless piece of work to fulfill His good, pleasing and perfect will. So when life seems hard, and you are being pounded and patted and pushed almost beyond endurance; when your world seems to be spinning out of control; when you feel like you are in a fiery furnace of trials; when life seems to "stink", try this.
Brew a cup of your favorite tea in your prettiest tea cup, sit down and think on this story and then, have a little talk with the Potter.

This week's Challenge is:
Create a card or project with a tea, hot chocolate or coffee cup and/or pot-this can be the designer paper, the image, or embellishment

Our Sponsor at Stampin Sisters is The Crafts Meow which will be giving away  a stamp set designed by Nina Brackett. How fabulous is that!!
For my sneak and challenge creation I used the darling Tea Cup Birthday Mouse designed by Meljen's which is to be released in rubber on Wednesday, May 18!!!

The sentiment is a new release from Whimsy, Last month called Party Mini letter seals designed by Ann of Raindrop Echo Designs. The designer paper is from Prima Sparkling Spring.  The dies I used for the shape of the card include the Grand Scalloped and standard Circle as well as the large and small scalloped and standard circle dies from Spellbinders.  The image is colored with copics. The flowers are from ZVA Creative.
