Happy  Thursday friends!!!

Where does the time go!!  I hope all are doing well.  Last week we had a brief tease with the warmer weather and now we are back to the cold.  I was thinking spring is on its way, which it is but just not yet.  I was inspired and looked at all the beauty of God's creation with the tulips starting to sprout!!  Yeah!! Can't wait.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ephesians 3:1

With that in mind, I just had to make a bird and flower creation for this week's colored base challenge at Splitcoast Stampers (CAS261).  I used a sneak peek of Our Daily Bread Designs Hummingbird, Zinnia, and Bee Happy stamp sets as well as the Hummingbird and Zinnia and Bees dies.

I made it as a birthday card for my sister.  The cardstock is Blush Blossom and Vanilla and I embossed the images in ivory.  The embossing folder is Sizzix Flowers and Vines.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!! I truly appreciate them.

Blessings,

Hello friends!!

I hope this post finds you all well.  Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs using a sneak peek of the new release.

This week's challenge is to create a shaped card.  For my creation I made a circular shaped card as well as an easel with the a sneak peek from Our Daily Bread Designs to be released on Saturday, March 1: Sweeter Than Honey, Bee Happy, Honeycomb Background, Zinnia and Leaves dies as well as the new designer paper: Blooming Garden.

The border along the bottom circular panel is the ODBD Beautiful Borders.

I love the new grand stately circles from ODBD that I just got so I had to use them.  The paper is from ODBD's new Blooming Garden collection to be released on Saturday.

Card Recipe:

ODBD Stamps Used: Bee Happy, Sweeter than honey, Honeycomb background (sneak peeks)
ODBD Dies Used: Zinnia and Leaves (sneak peek), Beautiful Borders
Paper: ODBD Blooming Garden (Sneak peek)
Spellbinders Dies: Grand Circles, Grand Stately circles, ovals

I just love these new sets...I thought I would make a card for my honey.  Life would not be the same with out Him.  I am so blessed to have Scott!!

The Word of God contains a treasure of Bible verses about love whether it be romantic love, brotherly love (friendship, or divine love.
There is no greater blessing than to be loved not only by our heavenly father but others as well.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:4–8a
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails ...

Is there someone you can show love to today?  My goal is to do an act of kindness for at least one person today.

Hi Everyone!!  I hope you are having a blessed beginning to your day.  Today, we at Our Daily Bread Designs, would like to look to share some creations made with the February release stamps, designer paper and dies!!!

For my creation, I used the sentiment from Heart of Joy which is actually the verse Psalm 27:14.
The paper is the new Heart and Soul Collection.  The diagonal border is the new Beautiful borders.  The flowers are created with the Ornate Hearts dies (smallest heart) and the Fanciful Foliage.  Behind the Opulent ovals (spellbinders) is the Elegant ovals die from ODBD.

Here is a photo of the new releases used:

Happy Tuesday friends!!

I hope this post finds you all well.  Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.

Since February we celebrate Valentine's Day and Presidents Day and focus on heroes of history and those we admire, this week's challenge is to case a card or a style of someone you admire.  Please make sure you link the card or person you are honoring with a case.

I have so many I adore and admire.  A couple of my dear friends I have cased and honored for my dirty dozen gallery at Splitcoast so for today's challenge, I chose yet another: Angie Crockett.  Anyone who knows Angie knows that she not only has a talent for paper crafting but she is the sweetest and has a heart of gold.  I chose to case this bookmark from Angie.

Here is my take of Angie's creation using ODBD Decorative Corners, Ornate Hearts, Beautiful Borders and Clean Heart.

The gorgeous paper is Heart and Soul Designer paper from Our Daily Bread Designs.

bookmark recipe:
ODBD Stamps Used: Clean Heart
punch: Martha Stewart- Eyelet lace

Hello all!! I hope you are all staying warm wherever you are.  It is snowing to beat the band here.  It looks like a winter wonderland.  I expected this in New York but here in Virginia, these kind of snows are few and far between and crippling.

Today I would like to pop in and share an Anniversary card I made for my parents 50th wedding Anniversary next weekend.  My parents mean the world to me and are role models in all they do!!  No card I make would ever express how much they mean to me.

For this creation I used some of the beautiful Heart and Soul designer paper from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I chose the red floral paper for it as my base and used the matching Clean Heart- heart and some other hearts from ODBD Heart of Joy to coordinate with it which I cut out with the Ornate Hearts die.  The sentiment is cut out with the Antique Labels and border die.  The border uses the Beautiful Borders Die.

The window panel is made with the Gold Labels 4 and Labels 4 to create it.  The netting is some ribbon I recycled from a gift that I received from one of my dearest friends this Christmas.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I love knowing you were here!

Blessings,

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I hope you are all staying warm!!  The days seem to be getting colder again and it looks like a freezing ice storm is predicted here for tonight into tomorrow.  I may be iced in...

Today I would like to share a card I made for this week's Shining the Light challenge at ODBD which is to make a Valentine's Day card or a card with the Love theme (Anniversary/Wedding), that does not use pink or red.  So for my creation I used lavender and purple.

Our Daily Bread Designs, Love you Bunches, Lavender, ornate hearts, beautiful borders, elegant ovals, Chris Olsen

Card Recipe:
Paper: Neenah White, lavender, purple, scrap dp from my stash
Ink: Lavender, Concord Grape, Garden Green, Black
Embossing Folders: Sizzix x and o's, Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Poppies

Happy Tuesday all!! I hope everyone has been having a good beginning to the week and that the winter weather is subsiding.  Thankfully it is warmer here and we are having rain and not snow.

I however, have been feeling quite a bit under the weather with a migraine and stomach issues as a result.  Computer time and crafting just intensify my pain so I have done little of either.

Today I want to pop in quickly to share this week's Shining the Light challenge:  Use the letter's in LOVE to create your card or project.

For my creation I used the Heart and Soul stamp set and the Elegant Ovals die from Our Daily Bread Designs paired with the Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals and Timeless Rectangles. The embossing folder is Tim Holtz Crackle.

The recipe I used is l-layers, o-vals, v-verse, e-embossing

,My First creation uses the gorgeous new Ornate Heart  and Beautiful Borders Dies, Clean Heart and Be Mine.  The dp is Echo Park.  The sentiments are cut and framed with the Antique Labels and Border dies.  The border along the bottom is created with the Martha Stewart Eyelet border punch.

My second creation is a treat box I created to match.  It is created with the  Heart of Hearts, Clean Heart, Heart of Joy, and Bless your Heart stamp sets.  The heart dies are using the gorgeous Ornate Hearts dies.
The small heart toppers use sentiments and heart patterns from Heart of Joy and Be Mine.

If you are interested in creating this heart treat box, you can find a tutorial here. At the time this tutorial was written, however, these gorgeous Ornate dies were not available so Spellbinders were used.
