Good Morning!!! It is Friday!! Woo hoo! Tomorrow the girls and I go to the Bronx Zoo in the City with a bunch of friends so I won't get the time to clean my house or stamp like I would like but we will have FUN! The girls have gone to smaller zoos but no bigger ones so this will be exciting for them!

Sorry about my absence yesterday. I feel like I am running in a million different directions. Oh well....this too shall pass, right? Since I didn't post yesterday, I am going to share three cards with you!

The first card is a card for a sneak peek of the Quite Waters set to be released from Our Daily Bread Designs on June 1. I used the TLC222 Hinge card challenge, Mojo Monday Sketch, Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to use sponging ( my sky is sponged), and the color challenge to use Bashful Blue, and Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron. I made it for a dear friend who just found out she had breast cancer and went for surgery this week. I am very happy to say she had a lumpectomy, is home and is doing well. I hope this card gives her some comfort during the next few months as she has radiation treatments. She had a 3 year old and 5 year old that she also has to care for.

CARD RECIPE

Paper: Haiku, Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Bitter Chocolate, and water color paper

Accessories: MS Classic Butterfly Punch, Spellbinders Flower Die. Brown grossgrain ribbon, Sewing machine, hodgepodge hardware

The second card I made for a friend who wanted a birthday card for her brother in law. She had only a few requests: 1. That it had a football player on it. 2. That it had a picture of an Aardvark on it and 3. It had to be sewn. That was a real challenge in itself because I am not a football fan and I think Aardvarks are possibly the ugliest creature out there. I used the SC230 Sketch on SC, the Challenge at Creative Inspirations to make a male card and the WT220 challenge to use buttons as well. Although football is not my thing, isn't Ian just so cute!!! I colored him with copics and embossed the helmet and football. All the design paper is Riding Hood Red dp from Stamping Up. I used the Cuttlebug Circles embossing folder for the texture behind the image. Since I really thought the aardvark was ugly, I made it so it was a hinge under the sentiment so it could be covered up and hidden. When I give it to my friend, it will be open but in the meantime he is hidden. LOL!

Card 2 Recipe:

Stamps: Greeting Farm Ian

Paper: Riding Hood Red, Black and White CS, Riding Hood Red DP

Accessories: buttons, Riding Hood Red Ribbon, Oval punches, brad, EK Success Punch, sewing machine, Circle Embossing Folder

The third card is one that I made for the SC230 sketch at Splitcoast and the OCCC challenge to use a sentiment as the focal point. The paper is Bella Bleu DP from Stampin Up. I featured several items from Our Daily Bread Designs including: EK Success Fleur De Lis Punch, MS Butterfly Punch, Prima flowers, Hero Art Pearls and the sneek Peak of Our Daily Bread Designs- Ask Seek Knock stampset to be released on Monday, June 1. I have tried to put the links on all the above to the areas in the ODBD store but my computer is being a real nuisance today!! Sorry! They can all be found here under stampsets, prima , pearls, and punches. The lock embellishment is a Tim Holtz Lock Embellishment pack.
Card Recipe:
Stampset: Our Daily Bread Designs- Ask Seek Knock
Paper:Bella Bleu and Bitter Chocolate, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Prima Flowers, Hero Arts Pearls, MS Butterfly punch, and EK Success Punch all available at http://ourdailybreaddesigns.com .
I hope you enjoyed today's post. I apologize for any errors that I have made. This has been a particularly trying post. My computer and I have much different ideas and it fought me all the way!!! My Hyperlink does not want to work.
Blessings to you all! I wish you all a great weekend!! I look forward to visiting all your blogs today!!! Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. You are such an inspiration!

Happy Wednesday Morning!! Today is Flutter By Wednesday!! I so look forward to my posts on these days and seeing the creations of the rest of the fab team and all you participants! I am so glad to see so many of you joining in on the fun! What is not to like about fairies and butterflies right! Fairies are so mystical and butterflies remind me of spring and summer, so cheerful.

The featured team member this week is the ever so sweet and talented Harriet. Harriet just recently had surgery and she never missed a beat when it came to these challenges. I so admire her tenacity and dedication!! She does not have a blog but she links all her creations on SC for you to see. You can find all her amazing creations here. Please leave her some love.

This weeks challenge is to use a butterfly or fairy and brads or eyelets on your card. If you don't have any brads or eyelets, that is o.k., just make a card with a butterfly or fairy. If you do make a card or project, please link it to Mr. Linky here on Danni's blog or use the keyword FBW if uploading to PCP or SC. This week I decided that it was time to order and ink up my first Anya image. I have so admired my oh so talented and sweet friend Janna's and so many other blogging friends Greeting Farm images so I thought it was time to get in on the fun too. I used Flutter By Anya which I purchased from the Greeting Farm. Isn't she adorable!!! Who could resist such a darling image. (yes I am still justifying purchasing yet another stamp! Tee hee!) I used yesterday's color challenge CC220 to incorporate Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron. I also cased this card for the layout from this week's featured stamper challenge FS120, Mercy, at SC ( www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1288595?cat=500&ppuser=77686 ). I changed the colors, dp, image, sentiment and added different details to make it my own. The image is watercolored and layered on dimensionals. The butterflies are punched using the classic butterfly punch from Martha Stewart. The sentiment is from small SU's Small Sayings set.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Greeting Farm- Flutter By Anya
SU Small Sayings

Paper: SU Ski Slope, Haiku, Delicate dots, and Pumpkin Pie, Bitter Chocolate, So Saffron and white CS, watercolor paper

Accessories: Hodgepodge Hardware, Paper Co. Flower Brads, So Saffron Ribbon, Textile Embossing folder, MS Classic Butterflies Punch, paper piercer, oval punches

I hope today's project inspires you to join the fun! All you have to do is make a card with a butterfly or fairy and brads or eyelets (or without the brads and eyelets). For more inspirations, please visit the rest of the talented team's creations. Ann, Ashley, Cassie, Cathy, Christine, Danni,Harriet, Heather, Jodi, Kim, Lelia, Michelle, Nancy, Nicola and Stef. Today is Stef's birthday!!! So make sure you pop on over to her glittering post and wish hea a big Happy Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEF!!!! Heather and Ashley will be leaving the team for just a while. Ashley is due to have her baby (Isn't that exciting! Good Luck Ashley!) and Heather as she prepares for a busy time of year in harvesting. (I pray all goes well for you Heather and that you do have some respite time from time to time). We will miss you both and look forward to your speedy return!!

I hope everyone finds the time to create and if you so choose that you join in this challenge. Thanks for stopping by today!! I so enjoy your comments! You are all such an inspiration to me!!

Happy Memorial Day! I want to first thank all the servicemen and families of servicemen that have given up their time to give me and the rest of the U.S. freedom and safety. Without your dedication, the U.S. and its freedoms would not be the same today! I hope everyone is enjoying a blessed, fun and safe weekend!

Today I thought I would share a card with you that I made for Friday's Limited Supply Challenge on Friday, LSC221, Thinking Circles. I also incorporated WT219, Stamp It Again, CAS15 to use black, white and one bold bright (my bold bright is yoyo yellow), and the challenge from the Mothers and Daughters Creations Blog to pop it up (I popped up my one flower that was yoyo yellow. To keep with the circle theme, I made a circular card and used my peony die to frame my image. I thought it would be fun to use my Inspired By Nature set which I just received. The sentiment was inked up with yoyo yellow and black . I used my tags trio die from Spellbinders.
Card Recipe
Stamps: Inspired by Nature
Paper: Black and White CS
Accessories: Spellbinder tags trio and peony dies, Circle cutter, SU Scalloped border punch, Swiss dots folder
I am not normally very good at CAS cards but I think I did it with this one. What do you think? Thanks for taking the time to stop by! I so appreciate your visits and comments. I hope to stamp and blog hop today after I finish some of my yardwork. Only 5 yards of mulch to go. Enjoy your day!
Saturday, May 23, 2009
Happy Saturday Morning all! I hope everyone has had a great beginning to their weekend!! I know I have. It is a holiday weekend here in the U.S. and traditionally a work out in the yard weekend for Scott and I. We have 10 yards of mulch sitting in our driveway waiting to be dispersed around the yard in our many gardens. Designing gardens and gardening is my second passion during the spring summer months. I love spring and summer when my perennials look so lush and beautiful! I may just have to share some of our gardens next week.
When thinking about spring and summer flowers, I decided to ink up one of my SU sets that I just received, Fifth Avenue Floral!! I have seen so many gorgeous creations with it and I just had to get it! I used this week's Mojo 87 sketch and WT219 (Stamp a stamp more than once) to create this card. I also used this week's Flutter By Wednesday challenge to use more than one designer paper and a fairy or butterfly. To create the top half of the background on my card, I stamped the Rose over and over again. The designer paper is from Bella Birds and Bella Rose. To add some texture, I dry embossed some of my panels with the textile embossing folder. I stamped my rose 4 times on watercolor paper, watercolored it, cut it out and layered it. The ribbon here is a Prima Marketing black velvet ribbon. The sentiment is from the Cross of Christ set from Our Daily Bread Designs that I embossed in the corner with black. The butterfly charm is from Blue Moon.
If you like sketch challenges, scroll down in my posts to the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge from Tuesday. It is such a fun sketch and there is blog candy available to participants! We would love you to come play with us!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Our Daily Bread Designs- Cross of Christ
Paper: Watercolor paper, white and black CS, Bella Birds and Bella Rose DP
Accessories: Blue Moon Butterfly Charm, Prima Marketing Velvet Trim, nestabilities, sewing machine, Cuttlebug textile embossing folder, black embossing powder

Good Morning! Today is Thursday and time for the Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge. For this week's challenge, Lori sent us this inspiration from the Acacia catalog. I decided to use the colors of the one plate with the ribbon. I apologize for making another

bird card this week but it was perfect for the challenge. I used the Sing tothe Lord set from Our Daily Bread Designs. Although I used the same bird from Tuesday, it looks totally different because of the coloring. I decided it would be fun to make another tri-shutter card (Monday's TLC challenge on SC). The papers are from Martha Stewart- Playful Blue. I colored the bird to look like a robin and cut it out adhering it to my dry embossed background. The flowers are Daisy Dream prima flowers that are available at Our Daily Brad Designs. The leaves next to the flowers were punched using the three leaf punch from MS. The borders were punched using the Fleur De Lis Border Punch on Bitter Chocolate. The directions on how to make this style card are found here.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- Sing to the Lord
Paper: MS Playful Blue, Tempting Turquoise, Bazill Bitter Chocolate, White, Water color paper (for the image)
Accessories: Prima flowers, Fleur De Lis Border Punch, Textile Embossing Folder, Labels Four Nestabilities, Grossgrain ribbon, MS 3 leaf punch
I hope you enjoyed this post. For more inspiration, please visit the rest of the amazingly talented design team: Lori, Julie, Chat, Angela, and Keri. I hope we inspire you to play along. If you do decide to play along, please leave a direct link to Lori's blog here. If you upload your creation to SC or PCP, please use the keyword DDIC4. We would love to have you play along, infact, we would love to have you play along every week. Lori is offering blog candy to anyone who uploads a creation for this challenge to her post here. The winner to be chosen on May 29 will have a choice of any stampset now available from SU that was offered during the sale-a-bration.
Thanks for visiting today and for all your wonderful comments. You don't know how much I enjoy reading them and appreciate them! Have a blessed Day!!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!! I can't believe how the weeks just fly by. It seems like just yesterday that I was posting last week's Flutter By Challenge and here it is upon us once again. Not that I am complaining.....I love Flutter By Wednesday. Who can resist using butterflies or fairies on their project. They are so fun!
Today's challenge is to use 2 TYPES OF DESIGNER PAPER and a BUTTERFLY AND A FAIRY. If you don't want to use 2 types of designer paper that is o.k. just use a butterfly or a fairy but you must have atleast one butterfly or fairy. This week's guest designer is the one and only.....Jodi Collins. She has such awesome creations and wonderful blog. You won't want to miss visiting her for her project this week. Our featured team member is Stef at Glitterbabe Greetings. Stef does not only have an outgoing bubbly personality with whit and charm, but her creations are fabulous! Her blog entries and creations always bring a smile to my face and a chuckle or two along the way! Please hop on over to these blogs and leave them some love today.
And now....for my creation. I decided that I would make a birthday card for one of my many friends who has a birthday in May! Rather than just make an ordinary card, I decided to make a joy fold for this person since she inspires so many smiles in my life. I hope she smiles when she receives this card as well. I used some of my new goodies from SU including: my Walk in the Park DP, Echos of Kindness Flower stamp and my sentiment from Fifth Avenue Floral. The birthday sentiment is from Verves' Just Because set. What do you think?
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Echos of Kindness, Fifth Avenue Floral, Verve Just Because
Paper: Walk in the Park, Bella Birds, Black
Accessories: Sheer white ribbon, scalloped circle punch, circle punch, sewing machine, MS punch-butterfly, glitter
I hope you like my sample for today's challenge an that it inspires you to join us for some Flutter By Fun. If you do create a Flutter By card of project, please upload your creation to Mr. Linky here. If you upload creation to SC or PCP please use the keyword FBW so we can see all these beautiful creations in one place. For more inspiration, you will want to visit Danni's blog for the featured team member example, the guest designer's creation, and her own. You will also want to visit the rest of the teams blogs for their ultra talented and creative takes on this challenge, Ann, Ashley, Cassie, Danni, Harriet, Heather, Jodi, Kim, Cathy, Michelle, Nancy, Nicola, Stef, Christine, and Lelia. You will be so glad you did!
Today is suppose to be a gorgeous day! I look forward to going into my garden, spending time with my girls, making a few cards and doing some blog hopping as well. Good Morning! Today is Tuesday and time for the second sketch for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge! Priscilla is still offering the opportunity to win her awesome $100 gift certificate for Stampin Up! You can click here for more details on the rules and how to win.
Last week we had 46 entries for our kickoff. The projects and cards were absolutely wonderful! Thanks to everyone who played along! Since there were so many awesome designs, the team decided that it would be fun to recognize or showcase one project each week and pass along this fun award. (It is a blinkie but I chose not to display it as such since blinkies make me sick personally. Sorry!)
This week we want to recognize this awesome creation by Sassy. Congratulations Sassy!!
If you are interested in this award, please make sure you have your card or project uploaded to Mr. Linky here, before Sunday at Midnight.

Here is today's sketch! It is truly another fun sketch! Here is my card with this sketch. I used one of my favorite sets from Our Daily Bread Designs called Sing to the Lord. It is suppose to be spring after all, although one would not know it with the 23 degree temperature this a.m. When I think of spring, I think of the beautiful blue birds that Scott and I love to watch making nests in our blue bird houses. I watercolored my image and used the sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs - Cross of Christ. I plan to send this as a birthday card to one of my friends. Hope she doesn't see it here. Lol! When I was the scallops on the sketch, I thought it would be fun to scallop a piece of ribbon. Instead of just a tag at the bottom, I added a hatpin with some beads in my stash. To keep with the nature theme, I distressed it a bit.

CARD RECIPE

Stamps: Our Daily bread Designs- Sing to the Lord, Cross of Christ

Paper: SU Urban Garden,Pacific Point CS, Bazill Bitter Chocolate, White CS, and watercolor paper

Accessories- hatpin and beads, SU Markers for watercolor, sewing machine and brown thread, prima flowers, old olive ribbon, and textile cuttlebug embossing folder.

I hope this card inspires you to create your own version or project with the MMSC2 sketch. If you do, please post a direct link to Priscillas' blog here (to Mr. Linky). If you upload it to SC please use the keyword MMSC2 so we can see all your creations in one place. I look forward to seeing your creations. For more inspiration on this challenge, visit my dt sisters blogs for their eclectic and gorgeous creations: Carolynn, Charlotte, Denise, Jane, Jeni, Jessica, Kimmie, Michelle, Phyllis, Priscilla, Shawne, Sonya, and Sue. You don't want to miss out on that awesome prize so get creating!

Have a great day and thanks for visiting! I so appreciate all your comments and visits. Now that my girls are feeling a little better and atleast slept through the night I may have more time for blog hopping! You are all so inspiring!

Good Monday Morning All!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I went upstate (3 hours away) to my parents this weekend for a family birthday celebration. We had an awesome time except for my six year old Meghan, coming down with a stomach flu at 1 a.m. in the morning. WHAT A MESS! That was it for our sleep for the next couple of days. We traveled home with a pail in front of her (very nerve racking!!). Half way home my other daughter Nicki, also began getting sick. They passed the bucket back and forth. Needless to say it was a very long trip home!! They were up all last night sick as well. My husband and I feel like sitting ducks here just waiting to get sick. Thankfully the girls are much better today. Very calm and just vegging out on the couch. Atleast it has given me a chance to sit right along side of them and do today's challenge!!!

I used some of my new goodies to make this Tri-Shutter Card, including my Walk in the Park Paper, Great Friend Butterfly Stamp, Matchbox XL Sizzix die, and Butterfly Sizzix die. I borrowed my sister's stampset Flight in Butterfly. Since I have to send it back at the end of the week, I wanted to get something made with it.

The cut out blossoms are made with the Boho Blossoms punch and the Urban Garden Paper. The larger butterflies are made with the Butterfly Sizzix die for the gray and the regal rose butterfly layered over top is stamped and cut out using the Great Friend set. The smaller butterflies are made using the MS butterfly punch.
CARD RECIPE:
stamps: Flight of the Butterfly, Great Friend

paper: Walk in the Park, Urban Garden, Black, Pink Pirouette, White CS

Accessories: White Satin Ribbon, EK Success punch, Butterfly Sizzix punch, Matchbox XL Sizzix die, MS Butterfly punch, Hero Arts Black Pearls, sizzix flourish die, Boho Blossom Punch, Regal Rose and Black ink

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoy today's card! I look forward to visiting all your blogs for some awesome inspiration! Thanks also for your wonderful comments each day! I so enjoy reading them.

The candle border was created using an EK Success Punch. I typed the sentiment on the computer using Microsoft Word. The tag is from the Spellbinders Ribbon Trio die set.

Good Morning!!!! Happy Flutter By Wednesday!! I am back from my camping trip and ready to do some stamping and blog hopping. I promised my girls that I would not take any stamping along but rather would dedicate all my time to them and that is exactly what I did!! We had a great time but now I am ready to get back to my addiction!!!

Today's Flutter By Wednesday #57 challenge was an easy one, to use a quote or sentiment on your creation. We would love to see what you create so please leave a link here with Mr Linky if you join in the fun. If you upload your creation to SCS or PCP, use the keyword FBW. Our Featured team member this week is Nicola! Nicola is from Spain and she is an absolute sweetheart with a lot of talent!!! Be sure to hop on over to her blog and see her blog and fab creation for this challenge.

I decided to make two cards for this challenge!! One I made last week and the other I made this a.m. for today's sketch challenge at SC!

Upon arriving home yesterday, I was told by my mom that a dear family friend, who is 39 years old is dying of cancer. He was in remission a few months ago and now in a matter of days, he found out it has spread throughout his body. The doctors give him 24 hours to live. It breaks my heart to think of his fiance, his 5 siblings and widowed mother. I can't seem to get it out of my head and it is all I am thinking about so this morning at 4 a.m. I decided to get up and start making sympathy cards for the family. I used some of my favorite inspirational stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs, Scripture Collection 1 and the lily from I am the Way. This verse is so comforting and I hope it gives them some comfort during this very difficult time in their life.

I decided to make it a black and white card. The lily is stamped in grey on vanilla cs and the verse is stamped on black on vellum CS. The dp is from DCWV- All Dressed Up. I wanted to keep it somewhat elegant so I dry embossed some of the vanilla cs with swiss dots and another with the textile folder from Cuttlebug. The ribbon is so gorgeous!! I just received it! It is a May Arts Satin Taupe Ribbon (1 1/2 inches). I added my Blue Moon Butterfly and rhinestones to add a little bit of cheer, The floral scrolls are made using a Spellbinders Floral Accent Die on Very Vanilla. After the scrolls were punched out, I painted them with gold glimmer Shimmerz, also available at ODBD, for some extra glitz!

CARD 1 RECIPE:
STAMPS: Our Daily Bread Designs- I am the Way and Scripture Collections 1
Paper: DCWV- All Dressed Up, SU Very Vanilla and Basic Black
Accessories: EK Success Punch, Spellbinders Floral Accents, Gold glimmer Shimmerz, Swiss Dots and Textile Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug, May Arts Taupe Satin Ribbon

The second card I made for a friend's birthday. I hope she has already received it so I don't totally ruin the surprise. Lol! It is made using my favorite DP from SU, Parisian breeze and the Heartfelt Thanks stampset. The sentimnet is typed out on the computer. Again I used the Blue Moon Butterflies. The sketch is SC227 from last week. I used the scalloped stich on the sewing machine for some added elegance around the border.

Stamps: SU Heartfelt Thanks
Paper: Parisian Breeze, Bitter Chocolate, White, and Baja Breeze CS
Accessories: sewing machine with brown thread, Baja Breeze ink and chocolate chip, Blue moon butterfly, pearls, EK Success punch, Offray Brown Grossgrain Ribbon, oval nestabilities

This is the card I created for today's challenge. I used the SU Bloomin Beautiful Stampset! I played with my sewing machine and created a border with the fun scalloped stitch! I used one of my favorite papers from SU Bella Birds. My flower was stamped faintly twice in the backround in pretty in pink and Old Olive, dry embossed with the swiss dots folder and then another flower that was colored and dimensionalized was layered with dimensionals over top. My pink corners are dry embossed with the cuttlebug textile folder and cut by hand using my fiskar's cutter (no punch). The brass spiral was another one of my ornament holders that I bought at Target on Christmas clearance.

Paper: Bitter Chocolate, Pink Pirouette, and Bella Birds DP

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day!! When you read this post. I will have left to go camping with the family for 5 days. My hubby thought it would be fun to take me away with the family to celebrate Mother's Day. I have scheduled a few posts for while I was gone so if anyone stopped by, there was something to see.

If you have not seen the post about the Inspiration Blog Prize, click here. I really want you all to have the opportunity to win 2 DP pads of paper from SU (your choice up to a $9.95 value for each).

The card I have to share with you today is using the new releases from Our Daily Bread Designs- God Bless America and In God We Trust for the WT217 Challenge to use kraft paper on your card whether it be a neutral, border, or for your backdrop and SC227. I saw this distressed looking dp with stars at Michael's from My Mind's Eye and I knew I had to make a distressed card with these patriotic sets! I love this saying from George Washington. I think so often we forgot that our founding father's relied on God and the Bible for guiding our nation. With all the war, economic depression, etc. are we still trusting or are we pushing God out? So many of our religious liberties such as prayers in School, In God We Trust on money (I was amazed that some of our new coins no longer have this printed on them), and etc. is being removed. I sometimes fear the outcome.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- In God We Trust, God Bless America
Paper: My Mind's Eye 29th Market St, Bitter Chocolate, Kraft, Watercolor paper
Accessories: Lone Star Buttons by Jesse James Co. craft hemp, distresser, oval nestabilities, cuttlebug embossing template, MS stars Border punch
Thanks for stopping by and for leaving your sweet comments. Don't forget that Tuesday, May 12 is the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. There is some awesome prizes too be had!!!!! What a fun challenge!!
I look forward to visiting your blogs when I return!! Have a great day!!

Today I would like to share a card I made for Wednesday's SC227 sketch challenge this past Wednesday. It took me minimal time to make but I really like how it turned out!

I like to play around with the stiches on the sewing machine once in a while and this is one of the stiches I came up with! I love how it frames the image. This was such a fun sketch!! The stamps are from Happy Harmony and Thoughts and Prayers. The pink dp for the butterfly and the back narrow panel is Bella Birds. I dry embossed the background with Swiss Dots and used my favorite EK Success punch on the border of my image panel.

What do you think?

Card Recipe:

stamps: Happy Harmony, Thoughts and Prayers

Paper: Bella Birds, White and pink piroette CS

Accessories: Offray pink ribbon, Hodgepodge hardware, sewing machine, swiss dots embossing folder, pretty in pink and sage shadow ink for image, EK Success Border Punch.

Good Morning! Today is Thursday and it is time for the Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge. This week Lori sent the team members this link from Pottery Barn. I have also included the photos of the pillows here for your convenience. We were to use this photo as our inspiration for creating a card or photo. When I fist looked at the picture of the pillows, I saw sunflowers but when I looked closer, I realized they were actually dahlias. I don't have any dahlia stamps though so I decided that a sunflower would work beautifully. I used the colors from the image and just added Bitter Chocolate as my neutral color. What do you think?

I hope this card inspired you to give this challenge a try! For more inspiration and examples, visit my fellow dt sisters: Keri, Chat, Angela, Julie, and Lori to see their amazing creations!

I hope you have a chance to play along. If you do participate, please link your creation here. If you upload your creations to SCS, please use the Keyword DDIC3.
As an incentive, I am offering an Inspiration Blog Prize .
The prize will be 2 sets of designer paper from Stampin Up paper of your choice (valued at $9.95 each). To win you must make a card or project using the picture of the pillows as your inspiration and link a direct link in the comments here on my blog. (When you are doing an inspiration challenge there is no right or wrong. You can use the colors, the flower, the stripes, anything you see in the picture. It doe not have to be the same flower or the very same as the pillows. Just have fun!!)For a second chance to win, place a link to your sidebar to this inspiration blog candy. For a third chance to win post the Divine Diva Gadget found on my sidebar on your blog with this link ( divastamper.blogspot.com), and for the final chance to win, if you are inpired by what you see and want to, become a follower of my blog if you are not already. That is four chances!! You must make a card or project with the inspiration for any chances. You have one week to participate. It's Wednesday Again!! How the weeks seem to fly by!!! Today is Flutter By Wednesday!! This week's challenge is an inspirational one. All of the team's members were sent a photo taken by Danni to use as an inspiration when we were creating our cards or projects. Isn't it just gorgeous! (I think Danni missed her calling! She should be a photographer!!).

We would love for you to play along. Just create a card or project using the above photo as your inspiration and be sure it has a fairy or butterfly on it, then upload your direct link to Mr. Linky here. If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use the keyword FBW so we can see all the creations in one place. The inspiration challenge is optional, as always, so if it is not your thing, just create a card or project with a fairy or butterfly on it.

The guest designer this week is Kerry Donovan-Casey from Three Clover Designs. She is so talented and has a wonderful blog full of inspiration! You can see her creation on her blog or as well as on Danni's blog. Please take a minute to visit her creative blog and leave her some love.

The featured team member this week is Kim! Kim is such a sweet heart with so many innovative and beautiful creations. You can see her card here.

And now for my card....I was ins[pired by the pinkish purple flowers in Danni's photo and knew the minute I saw Danni's photo that SU's Nature Collage would be the perfect image for me. I used this week's Mojo 85 sketch challenge for my layout. The image was stamped on watercolor paper and then watercolored with reinkers and SU markers. The butterfly and flower were cut out, gold embossed in spots, and layered with dimensional for a 3D Look. Although it is hard to see in the photo, the whole image panel was spritzed with pearl glimmermist. It really shimmers in real life!!! I had fun playing with my sewing machine and sewing a decorative border along the edges with gold metallic thread. The paper is from K and Co. Que Sera Lera and Brenda Walton. I think the purple and gold together make it look so royal. Upon completion, I couldn't help but add the cute little gold butterfly to my ribbon.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: SU Nature's Collage
Paper: K&Co. Que Sera Lera, Brenda Walton, Bitter Chocolate and Orchid Opulence textured CS, Watercolor paper
Accessories: Pink grossgrain ribbon, Butterfly charm, gold metallic thread, sewing machine, Kaisercraft Purple pearl, Prima flowers

I hope you enjoyed my inspirational challenge card, and it has inspired you to join in the fun!! For more inspiration visit my incredibly talented design team sisters: Ann, Ashley, Cassie, Cathy, Danni, Harriet, Heather, Jodi, Kim, Kristie, Michelle, Nancy, Nicola, and Stef. You will be so glad you did!

Please keep my fellow team member's Harriet, in your thoughts as she is scheduled for surgery, Michelle who is still recovering from her recent surgery and Heather who just had a root canal. My thoughts and prayers are with you today that you will all be restored to full health and will each experience a speedy recovery.

Thanks for stopping by today!!! Tomorrow will be back for another exciting inspiration challenge, the Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge! As always thanks so much for your sweet comments and visiting me here! Have a great day!!!
