Magnolia Sketch- OCCC Mother's Day- Sweet Tilda/ Exciting news!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I sure did. Can't believe how fast the time flies by. Yesterday I decided to take a small break from the computer, sometimes it frustrates me so. A lot of technological problems lately. I think I need to increase my memory.

Today I would like to share a card I made for the OCCC challenge this week (to make a Mother's Day card) using the Magnolia Sketch (Bev's sketch, Thanks Bev for such an inspiring sketch) and sweet Tilda! I love Tilda so although I do not own many and often don't find the time to stamp with her. (We will have to change that!). I paper pieced her clothes using the same paper pad used for the background (Basic Grey-Bittersweet). The oval is Labels 4 nestabilities. I colored Tilda's face, arms and hair with copics. The boots are embossed for a shiny appearance.

Stamps: Magnilia- Cherry Tilda

Paper: Bitterweet by Basic Grey, Bitter Chocolate Bazzill

Accessories- Copics, prima flower, Paper Co. Brads, rhinestone flourishes, MS Heart Border punch, Label 4 nestabilities, Textile embossing folder.

Card 2 is a card I created for today's TLC219 Waxed Paper Resist Technique. I am trying to create a bunch of anniversary cards for a friend who collects, creates and sends cards to the troops in Iraq so they in turn can send them to their loved ones back home. I was asked to make 20 anniversary cards. I sure have to get busy!!! This is just 1 of the many to come. I used the baja breeze ink brayered of my glossy paper. It looked more mint or cool carribean over the embossing resist so I decided to pair it up wiht MS Playful Blue DP and Cool Carribean CS. The flowers are from SU- Flowers of Gratitude. I love the fonts from Our Daily Bread Designs. I used the "love" from the Love set. The inside of the card also uses a sentiment from this set. It is so versatile and beautiful!
