Hi all!!!  I hope everyone is doing well!! I am so sorry for my absence so much lately but I have some things to sort through in my mind and crafting has taken sort of a back seat for now.  I pray I will be back to my normal self soon.

Anywho.....today I have a sneak peek to share with you from Our Daily Bread Designs that is going to be released on July 1!!! You are going to love these sets!! I know I do!!

I have several relatives or friends getting married in the next few months...This card is one I made for one of my nieces using the stamp set Wedding Blessings to be released at ODBD next Monday!!

I always love white or ivory for weddings.  It just looks so elegant.  The background is embossed with the Darice Fleur De Lis embossing folder and/or created with the Our Daily Bread Designs Quatrefoil Pattern Die.  I wanted to give it an envelope look with lots of greenery to match my nieces elegant tastes.

The Mr. and Mrs is framed or cut out with the Spellbinders Labels 4 die.  The leaves are created with the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die and the Martha Stewart Foliage punch (embossed with SU Basket Weave on old olive paper).

I hope you enjoyed my creation and are somehow inspired!! May God bless you with a wonderful weekend!!!  We hope to see you at the ODBD blog for our next New Release at Our Daily Bread Designs on Monday!!!

hugs and blessings,

Hello Friends!!!

I read my dear friend Grace's post on her blog and I forgot about the upcoming changes in google reader, but thought I should share this as well!!!  Thanks Grace!!!

Today I want to just let you know about some changes that will be happening in blog land beginning July 1.  Google is going to be removing it's Google Reader, so if you are one of the followers of my blog who follow through the reader, you will no longer be seeing my posts or anyone elses that you subscribe to that way.

If you subscribe via email... you are fine and should continue getting the email alerts that I have posted a new post.  If you follow through the Google reader as a "follow this blog" follower, I encourage you to go to www.Feedly.com or www.bloglovin.com and download their reader program. Either of these readers will let you import your current Google reader.  Say yes to allow them to import your reader content, and your entire list will be saved and delivered to your new  reader.  I personally prefer Blog Lovin and have provided a link above for you to follow me that way,  but either is a good reader!

No matter what reader you use, please make sure that your subscription to my blog is to Twinkles Glow with stamps,  and nothttp://feeds.feedburner.com/Twinklesglowwithstamps/tsap.  I appreciate my readers and I want you to continue to be able to view my creations if you would like despite google's changes.

I did not combine this post with a card because I wanted everyone to  read this and take whatever steps you need to take to continue following the blogs you want to follow!
I did not combine this post with a card since I wanted everyone to focus on the message and not my creations, I will post a card tomorrow.

Thanks for the helpful information Grace!!!!

hugs,
Chris

Hello all!! It has been a while since I have posted and for that I apologize.  I have had a lot on mind and a lot going on in my life that has kept me from creating.  My heart and creativity is just not there.

I have popped in to share a card using a verse that is my motto and comfort during this difficult time in my life.  I may not know the answers or what to do next but God does.  I pray that He shows me how to have the faith and truly trust in Him....knowing that He is God!!!

My card uses Scripture Collection 3 and Mother's Day (poppies) from Our Daily Bread Designs.
In celebration of the upcoming July 4th holiday,  the challenge team at the Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs is challenging our viewers/ players to make a red, white and blue and/or patriotic card.  Since my last post was patriotic, I went with just red, white and blue.  The embossing folder is Cricut Poppy.  The frame around the sentiment is created with Spellbinders Lattice Motifs.

Before going any further in my post, I would like to wish Kathy Roney the best as she steps down from the challenge team at Our Daily Bread Designs.  Kathy, you have been an inspiration to me in so many ways, not only with your faith and your crafting but with your friendship.  I will deeply miss you on the team.  May God bless you!! I will only be an email or a phone call away and of course I will be stalking you.  HUGS!!

I also want to say thank you and best wishes to Cathy who will be moving to the design team rather than creating with us on the Challenge team.  I know it is not goodbye since I will be working with you on the design team!!  Your creations are always amazing and I look forward to seeing more of your ODBD creations for the releases!!

Lastly I want to say thank you and best wishes to Audrey who will be moving to our Our Daily Bread Designs Alumni Team and will no longer be a member of the Challenge Team.  I have enjoyed your amazing talent and inspiration and friendship, Audrey, and look forward to your creations for our New Releases.  So glad you are staying with ODBD!!

Happy Tuesday all!! I hope everyone is well and enjoying their summer.  Unfortunately we all caught a summer virus that threw us through the ringer or a loop for the last two weeks.  Today I am finally starting to feel a bit better.

I can't believe how the summer is flying.  Next week is Father's Day and soon there after is July 4th.  Where does the time go!!!

In celebration of Father's Day the challenge team at the Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs is challenging our viewers/ players to make a masculine or Father's Day card.  That is a real challenge for me since when I think of masculine, I think kind of plain.

I decided to make a masculine patriotic card using Some Gave All and Home of the Free from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Greater Love has no one than this that He lay down his Life for his Friends. John 15:13.

I want to thank all our service men and women and there families for the sacrifice they make each day for America's freedom!!  I am especially grateful for our freedom of religion where we can worship the true and living God.  This is not a freedom to take lightly as I see so many of our freedoms lessening or becoming stripped away by our government each day.

Thank you Lord for your greatest sacrifice of them all ...that you died for me so I may some day live with you in eternity!!

Happy Tuesday all!! I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying nice weather.  I know a lot in the USA have been experiencing crazy weather and temperatures as of late.

Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs which is to use a prayer, blessing, or encouraging scripture.

For my creation I used the darling Precious Girl image just released at ODBD on June 1.  The background is created with the background gingham also available at ODBD.  The tag is created with ODBD Recipe and Tag Dies.  The image is framed with the Resplendent Rectangles dies from Spellbinders.

Here are the details of the hop:
  • Hop will run June 1 8:00am to June 2 8:00pm EDT.
  •  Winners will be announced June 3
  • There will be  FOUR PRIZES of $15, $20, $30 and $40. GC for STAMPS in the ODBD Store. Must be redeemed within the month of June**
  • To qualify to win, all you have to do is hop to each of the designers, leave a comment and return to the ODBD Blog to tell us you completed the hop, and let us know of any difficulties you had along the way.
Now... on to my project details:

For my first creation I used three of the new releases: Precious Boy, Precious Girl and Children's Prayers to make a gift for a relative who just recently had a baby boy.  I just love this darling boy image and he is even sweeter paper pieced.  The prayer and sentiment panel are cut out with the Spellbinders Labels 22 die.  The frames were purchased from AC Moore.

My second creation is a card to match it (with different pj's) made with the Precious Boy Image and Sentiment.  I just love the scenes you can create with the Catherdral Window Marble and Cathedral Window and Border Die  (The window is embossed in copper on Vellum).  The sentiment is cut out with the ODBD Custom Recipe Card and Tag Die.
