Today is our kick off for the first Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential. Vicki and the team have so many fun challenges to share with you and we just can't wait to get started.
Since it is October and Halloween is this month, our first challenge is to use Non-halloween stamps to make a Halloween Card. Doesn't that sound fun!! The fun thing about these type of challenges is that the sky is the limit and it is open to your own interpretation. The goal of this challenge is to find your hidden potential!!
For my card I chose the Inkadinkado set Birds in Flight set and a retired shapes set from SU. I inked up the owl from the Inkadinkado set and used a circle shape to make a moon. The images were embossed and then I used I used embossing resist to create the sky behind it. The dp is actually wedding paper from Cloud Nine but it just reminds me of black bats so I thought it would match. I added some sewing, dry embossing, and punching with my EK Success Morocca Punch. The sentiment was created on my PC.
Card REcipe:
Stamps: SU Shapes, Inkadinkado Birds in Flight
Paper: Cloud Nine, Elegant Eggplant, white
Accessories: Moraccan Lace from EK, Purple satin ribbon, Swirls embossing folders, silver baubles
I hope this creation inspires you to think outside the box. For more inspiration, you should really visit my dt sisters or the Saturday Spotlight Blog, their creations are so creative and eclectic!!
