Happy Friday everyone!! It is not only the beginning of the weekend but the Midnight Madness' First Fall Blog Hop with lots of eye candy and prizes along the way!!!!!!

Welcome to prowling at the 1st Midnight Madness Blog Hop. The design team of Midnight is celebrating you, our players, with a fun and exciting blog hop. We have TWENTY FIVE exciting prizes to give away. As a matter of fact, here is a list of how you can win:

One Grand Prize random Drawing worth $100
350th Brand New Sketch Player Special Prize worth $50
11 "Cards from the Crypt" (picked by our Dt members from MMSC archives)
and 12 random Package winners drawn

You have until Tuesday, October 20, 2009 12 p.m. Midnight EST to leave your name in Mr. Linky at the Midnight Madness Blog to be eligible for the prizes. Prize winners will be notified at the end of the week.

You don't have a blog.... that's o.k., read here.....

If you would like to be entered in the Prowling at the 1st Midnight Madness Blog Prizes and you DO NOT have a blog you still can participate. You will have to follow these directions
:

1. Leave a comment on the Midnight Madness Blog Hop Comment Section with your email address, first name and last name initial.
2. Link up to Mr. Linky with first name and last name initial and in the URL space enter this address http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com

In order to have a chance at winning any of the prizes, you must gather a secret phrase along the blog hop. Each Design Team member will have a particular word listed on their blog and as long as you visit them in order, you have the secret phrase at the end. If you are picked as a prize winner you will be contacted by email and you must email back the secret phrase within 48 hours to claim your prize. If by any chance any of the 350th Brand New Player or any of the "Cards of the Crypt" winners are not claimed, then those prizes will be added to the random winners drawn.

To start off, you must begin at the Midnight Madness Blog!! If you have not started there, I suggest you go back and begin again....you don't want to miss out on the Prizes! If you have arrived from Denise's Blog- KC242 Designs by Denise then you are on the correct course. If you want a chance to win you will have to follow the instructions above. Have fun on the hop!!!

Meet the Midnight Madness Team
We thought it would be fun to feature in this section of our blog hop something to help you get to know the design team members and for us to get to know you. We have all chosen some questions with answers we wanted to share with you about ourselves. You are welcome to leave a comment here at my blog and tell me something about you as well. So here are some things about me.

1. What was your reason to get into paper crafting/paper crafting?

I have always enjoyed anything crafty. When I had my first daughter, my sister, Jeanne, introduced me to stamping. She is a Stampin up Demonstrator. (My sister is smiling now since I just gave her all the credit. LOL!) At first I did it when I had a chance. My time was limited since I had a newborn and was working full time. When my second daughter was born, 7 years ago, I resigned my job. I began stamping for me as an escape or to do something just for me. Since Meghan had colic and needed a lot of my attention for the first few years, I had limited time to stamp. Now as they are growing up I have more time.

2. Where do you get most of your inspiration from?

Most of my inspiration comes from the surroundings around me in nature, stores, etc. or from viewing others creations.

3. Is there a time when your best creations are made and is there a specific food or drink you just have to have with you?

Many of my better ideas come in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping although I am a very early riser and not a night person at all. Sometimes I begin creating at 3 a.m. when the kids are sleeping and all is quiet.

4. What tool could you not live without?

This is a very difficult question for me since there are so many things I enjoy using. I would have to say the cuttlebug would be my most used craft item. I enjoy using my dies and embossing folders to add texture. My second tool that I enjoy is my sewing machine.

5. What is your favorite medium for coloring?

I love to color with copics but since I still have a limited supply, I love using prisma color pencils and gamsol or even watercolors or chalks. The medium I use, depends on the effect I want. Chalks work well for backgrounds and skies.

6. What is your favorite crafting technique?

I really don't have a favorite. I love trying new things.

7. Tell us something about
yourself that would surprise us.

Well I hate to admit it...but I was a movie star in my former life. No just kidding....I live a pretty normal life or so I think. I am happily married to my hubby, Scott for the past 11 almost 12 years. I was a special education teacher, first, second and third grade teacher, as well as assistant principal of an elementary school before staying home with my two precious daughters. I now home school my two girls.

In addition to crafting, I play piano and sing. I sing in a special women's group for our church.

8. And finally my last question...(PHEW! Can you tell this is my fave thing to do...)
If you could do something dangerous just once, with no risk- what would you do?

I love to hike and view the nature around me. If I did not get motion sickness or if I wasn't a chicken!!! I would love to sky dive to see the views from the sky or mountain climb.

Cards from the Crypt

For something a little fun to honor our Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge Players, we thought we would go back into the crypt of archived challenges and pick some of our favorites to feature here. Our winners will need to do the blog hop and collect a word from each of the blogs to collect the winning phrase and place their name in Mr. Linky at the Midnight Madness Blog! We will then email you when we verify that you have entered you name in Mr. Linky, you will need to email the phrase back to us in order to qualify for your prize. Even if your card has been chosen from the crypt you are still eligible for the Grand Prize and Random Drawings.

My card from the crypt is featuring MMSC17. My choice is a very loyal MMSC player with a lot of talent: Valerie Florer. I just love the texture she added, colors, the flower and her unique take on the sketch.

Here is her creation:

Congratulation Valerie!!!

Now on to my fall creations!!

My project is with Harvest and Thanksgiving in mind. These also meet the Crazy4 Challenges challenge this week to create a Thank you card or project or one with a Thanksgiving Theme (Of course these pictures were taken before we had snow on the ground today). I am not only showing you stampin or paper projects but some of my other crafts including flower arranging and tole painting as well.

Being the expert photographer that I am....I cut off some of my pieces or blocked
them with other pieces so I will show them here individually.

First is my Tole Painted Scarecrow. Scott and I enjoy creating these type of project together. It is a light box. You will also the top half of the flower arrangement that I cut off in my first picture. LOL!

Here is a pumpkin I created with a roll of toilet paper, material, a paper bag, a cinnamin stick, and raffia. This is not my original idea but something I saw on my dear friend and Spotlight Diva Dt Sister Dawn's (My Stamping Thyme) blog. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. This little boy is abundantly blessed as I am.

The next picture shows a candle I created. I used an Inkadinkado Autumn stamp set with leaves and flourishes.

The same stamp used for the candle is also used on this napkin ring holder I created. The punch is I used Moraccan Lace from EK Success.

This last photo is a matchbox favor box I created to serve as place setting markers. The opposite side of the pumpkin has the person's name. The inside has chocolate nougats. The pumpkin is from the Fall Whimsy set from SU and the sentiment is from Inkadinkado. I used the SU Sizzix matchbox die to create the inside of the box holding the nougats.

I hope you enjoyed my creations!! And now it is time for the revealing of the SECRET WORD!

Thank you for playing in our weekly challenges and for all your support each week. We love sharing our creations with you and visiting your blogs each week to see what you have created. We hope you are enjoying this special Blog Hop and that you are finding something new along the way. Thanks for joining us today!

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your lovely comments on my Anyone for Anya card, paper piecing in the UK means making a pattern with small pin pricks in your paper with a sharp ended tool (which I don't own hence the improvisation!)
Love the idea of the american way I'll have to give that a go.
