Happy Tuesday to all!! I am back from our camping trip. Thanks for all your comments and well wishes. We did not escape rain for a few of the days which was a real bummer but we made the most of the time we had together as a family. Scott was a real trooper even standing in the rain trying to maintain a fire. Bless his heart!! He even used my daughters umbrella since I misplaced ours when I was packing. What a sport!

Here is a picture of my two darling daughters. Despite the rain, they were happy. Phew! Wish they always loved each other that much!

No pictures of me since I am the photographer most times. Just the way I like it...LOL! I was also sitting with ice on my toe for a lot of the trip since a can dropped out of the refrigerator smack dab on my toe! Wow did that hurt and continues to hurt! I am hobbling around these days. I gashed it pretty good and bruised the bone. It is quite swollen! The only part of a rainbow we saw was the many shades of red purple and and blue my toe has turned.

Well enough about the trip or my toe...It is time for Midnight Madness!

This is your last DAY to get in the drawing for Jeni’s Challenge Candy, Michelle Perkett weekly bonus gift and the month end Simon Says Stamp $50 voucher. You have till Midnight EST 9-1-09 to get your MMSC16 entries in. One winner will be drawn for each on Wednesday, so be sure to check back for that. Here is today's sketch:

For my MMSC17 this week I used DRS Designs Sunflower with Pumpkin Patch (P105). I decided to get started on making a recipe book for my nephew and future niece for their upcoming wedding next spring. I know it is a long time off but I plan to decorate each page.
I turned the sketch. The image is colored with gamsol and prisma color pencils. The image is layered and embossed for dimension on top of a dry embossed leaf background panel. I bought the paper as part of a scrapbooking pack in Michael's. I just loved the patterns and colors. I used the Spellbinders Mega Curved Rectangles for my layered rectangels and the SU Oval punches for the Recipes label. The border punch used behind the image is the EK Success Moracco Lace punch. The corners are created with the Cuttlebug Vintage Die. I added sewing on the borders to finish it off.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and that it inspires you to create. Maybe it will even inspire you to create a card or project using this sketch. If you do, please link your creation to Mr. Linky on Priscilla's blog here. If you upload your creation to SC, please use the keyword MMSC17. For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters for their fab takes on the sketch!! Please leave them a little love on your journey as I know they would greatly appreciate it. Welcome to our September guest dt Carol!! I can't wait to see all your wonderful creations with these sketches Carol!!
