Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great weekend!!! Today I am so excited to be sharing a new release of templates from Leigh Ann Baird at Perfect Presentations!! The template I am sharing with you today is called Gift to Go! It reminds me of a Chinese take out box and it is SO cute and easy to make.
The image is from Wags n Whiskers and it is called: Let's Do Lunch. I colored her with distress inks.
The paper is from Basic Grey Nook And Pantry which I dry embossed with swirls. The cardstock is Old Olive from CS. The ribbon for the handle is also from SU.

The daffodils are watercolored. The oval is the oval punches from SU. The dp is from SU Bonjour (retired three years ago).

Happy Saturday Everyone!! After 3 feet of snow, high winds, and no electric for the past couple of days, I am back!!!!! You should see what it looks like here! Yikes!! Unfortunately we are not out of the woods yet since we have a storm warning with another possible six inches before 6 p.m. tonight. We were suppose to go to a wedding today an hour and a half away today but it looks like we may not be able to make it since a state of emergency has been declared and no one is allowed on the roads except for an emergency. Our electric is going in and out even after our power did come back during the night last night. I sure hope we don't lose power again...we have a generator but it is to run our heat, not the luxuries of lights, stove, and etc....Hopefully I will have a chance to visit you all this weekend and catch up on the blogging I have missed while the power was out...
Anywho...... Today it is time for another Our Daily Bread Designs and Saturday Spotlight Challenge!! I hope everyone has been having a good start to their weekend!! I am hoping for a weekend with out snow!! after all the inches of snow we have received thus far this week!!! So in keeping with my snowless theme, I created some springy or bright colored cards for you.

This week's challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light is....

to think outside of the box....Create any card or project that is not an A2, A6, or A7 rectangular card. It can be a different fold (diamond fold, joy fold, easel, accordion, step, sidestep etc.) or a different shape. If you are stumped or want to try something new, the resources section at Splitcoaststampers has many awesome tutorials for you to use.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, March 4. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by March 4 at 8 p.m. EST.

If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC4. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge:

I created an easel card for the Out of the Box challenge using the sneak peak of Happy Easter and Easter Blessings from Our Daily Bread Designs!! My image is colored with copics, cut out and popped up on dimensionals. The die behind the image is a Labels Thirteen die from Spellbinders that I just received!! I framed it with the Fleur De Lis Spellbinders. The dp is from Basic Grey Wisteria. The ribbon treatment is threaded through a Lattice Border from Spellbinders. I dry embossed my image panel with the Script folder from Provocraft. I plan to give this to my Mom and Dad for Easter.

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Sneak peaks Easter Blessings and Happy Easter
Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria, Violet cs, white cs
Accessories: Provocraft Script Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug Vintage Corners, Silver Baubles, pearl heart button
Spellbinders: Fleur De Lis, Labels 13 and Lattice Borders

Everybody-Art-Challenge~easel card.

Stamp Something Challenge- a recipe of ribbon, buttons and dp
CRAFT......sparkle and ribbons
Cute Card Thursday...ribbon

For this week's challenge at Saturday Spotlight,

the Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to go the opposite from last week's challenge and clean things up a bit on your creations! What does that mean? You can make a nice CAS style card (meaning 'clean and simple' style), or make sure you have clean edges and paper for your creation. Please interpret this how you'd like!

For our Spotlight sponsor this week we have...

(click HERE to go to store.)

**One lucky winner from the challenge this week drawn from random.org will receive a special code for a $10.00 shopping spree at Whimsie Doodles Stamps!** (Now that is worth putting a card in for!)

Since this week's sponsor is Whimsy Doodles, I used one of their digital images for my creation this week called Leah Bunny. I colored her with copics. As I was coloring, I sure was wishing I had a greater variety of copics too use. Oh well...can't have everything.... Since I had to get a lot of things done quickly for fear of losing power with the horrendous storm we were having, this card is very CAS. Very appropriate challenge for me this week. The shape of the card is created with the Spellbinders Blossom Die. I think the colors look very much like Easter. Don't you think? It isn't perfect but the image and shape, I hope make up for the imperfections.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are inspired by my creation to join this week's challenge. For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters:

Happy Friday Everyone!! I am back just in time for the weekend, another Wags n Whiskers challenge and to come visit you!!!!I had a great time away but missed you all. I must admit the time away was good for me and was a refreshing time away. Thanks so much for your sweet comments while I was away! I so enjoyed reading them!! I have so much blog hopping and catching up to do.

Anywho...It is time for another Wags n Whiskers challenge!!! This week my wonderfully talented dt sister, Inge is asking you to do freestyle....now is that easy or what!!

To play our challenges you must use a Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamp as your main image to be entered into the prize drawing.

If you don't have any Wags 'n Whiskers, then you can go shopping here!!!.
Once again, one lovely participant will win a Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamp of their choice.

Now for my creation:

The image used for my card is Bedtime Story from Wags n Whiskers. I used the Sketch Saturday challenge for my layout. The dp is one of my faves from K & Co. called: Amy Butler. I colored my image in with distress inks. The image is cut out and popped up on dimensionals. The background is embossed with a script embossing folder. I used a fancy Labels die from Spellbinders for my sentiment.

I also incorporated the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge which was to make a card or project using a time piece or in some way denoting time or the passage of time. Let imagination be your guide! There are no rules! My sentiment includes the time element.
This image actually reminds me of my seven year old daughter while she is reading her Bible.
The only difference is she usually is leaning up against her big stuffed Yogi bear instead of a pillow.

Happy Thursday everyone!! Today I am so excited to share with you a creation I made for Digital Delights. I am so honored to have been invited by Wendy and her team to be a guest designer!! Thanks for this honor girls!!!

For my creation, I used the image Claudia Cow from Digital Delights since it reminded of when I was growing up. Our family ran a dairy farm when I was living home. I colored my image with prisma color pencils and gamsol. The flowers and cow are popped up on dimensionals. The edges of my card are distressed. I used the sketch from the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge. The flower is layered with a handmade crocheted flower and a prima. The buttons are SU Corduroy buttons. The dp is from some scraps in my bin and from the K & Co. Tim Coffey Pad.

Stamps: Digital from Digital Delights called Claudia Cow
Paper: K & Co Tim Coffey, Bitter Chocolate, tan
Accessories: distressor, prisma color pencils, gamsol, Labels 8 die, SU crocheted buttons, Memory Box Ribbon
Challenges:

Stampin for the Weekend Sketch
Spoonful of Sugar Challenge-distress inks for distressing edges

Crafty Creations- Cut it out and pop it up
Stamp Something - A touch of spring

Inky Impressions - Think Spring
Flutter By Wednesday- to use a butterfly, angel or fairy on your creation

I hope you enjoyed my creation!! I have scheduled this post since it was beginning at 1 a.m. and hopefully it is not snowing to beat the band like they have predicted. I am so worried that we may lose electric with the heavy snow. Many in the area have already lost power and we are suppose to get another 12-18 inches of heavy snow starting after midnight. I am so praying. Just in case....I have schedule several posts.

I edited my post to share with you the snow we are getting here in NY. Yikes! The flakes are huge and boy is it coming down!!! It started at 6 a.m. this morning instead of midnight but five hours later we have 6 more inches. They are predicting another 2 FEET!!! The 50 mph winds start this p.m. The state has issued a state of emergency for the roads and said if you have not lost power already you will. It is not a matter of will you lose power but of when. YUCK!

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!! I love reading them!!

Blessings,
Chris

I created a CAS card this afternoon using the sneak peaks for Our Daily Bread Designs called Happy Easter and The Lord is Risen. I love flower stamps and woohoo all the sets include flowers this month for the new release!!!! The flowers I am using on today's creation are actually starting to sprout through the snow at my house. Too funny!! I can't wait for the daffodils to really bloom!!

Happy Saturday Everyone!! The weekend is here!!!! Our Daily Bread Designs and Saturday Spotlight are kicking off the weekend with a challenge!

This week's challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs- Shining the Light Challenge:

Since it is February and we are acknowledging national hero’s (President’s day) or people who are special to us (Valentine’s Day) in the U.S. , the challenge team is challenging you to acknowledge and case a crafter you admire or a creation you admire changing just two elements to make it our own.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!!
Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, February 25. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our
Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by February 25 at 8 p.m. EST.

If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC3. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Now on to my take on the challenge!!....
I am always in awe of many bloggers and their creations that this was indeed a challenge for me. I finally decided that I just loved the elegance of this creation by my dear friend and dt sister Angie Crockett, at Body Mind Spirit and Stamps. Angie has so many jaw dropping creations and you really should pop by her blog. I chose to case this card. ( This is not nearly as gorgeous as the original by Angie so you really should check out that link) I changed my colors from pink to green, added pearls around the edge of the scallops, changed the punch I used to a MS flower vine punch, and added the hummingbird charm. I also incorporated the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge which was to make a card or project for someone you love letting them know how much God loves them. I think this sentiment says it all.

card recipe:
Stamps: Sing for Joy from Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: Basic Grey Origins, Gable Green, White
Accessories: hummingbird charm, pearls, Martha Stewart Flower Vine punch, Victoria Embossing folder, paper piercer, May Arts Light Green Ribbon

Now on to today's Saturday Spotlight Challenge....

For this week's challenge.....
The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to do the Mess Around. Make your creation "messy" by distressing with ink, tearing edges, wrinkling car d stock, etc.

For our Spotlight sponsor this week we have...

Denise from

One Lucky winner will be randomly chosen to win a $15 gift Certific ate to be used at the Whimsy Stamps store....You could even use it for purchasing an image from their new Mythical Fairies and sentiment release on Feb 17 (4 fa iries and new sentiments)!! I know I love these stamps and I will be placing an order soon!!

Here is my take on the challenge:

For my creation, I used a special limited edition carousel horse digital image called Wing of Hope selling for $4 at Whimsy Stamps here. All proceeds (minus any Pay Pal fees) from the sale of this image will be sent to the American Red Cross disaster relief for Haiti.

This digital image will only be available to purchase, in digital format, from now until February 28th, 2010.

I had fun coloring this digi with my prisma color pencils and gamsol. The wings I gave a distressed look in keeping with the "Messy" challenge. Al the edges of my cardstock and dp is distressed as well with a distressing tool. I just recently purchased the dp from Michael's. I just love the colors and the patterns of this Tim Coffey (k&co. paper).

I used the sketch from the Everybody Art Challenge.

Happy Thursday everyone!! Today is another Divine Diva Challenge and Lori sent this inspiration:

Yes..this is in the tropics. This is a picture of a hotel that Lori will be staying at. Lucky girl!! I am away but not there. Boo hoo. I am upstate New York visiting my parents in the boonies where it is even colder than home. Now what's up with that? Should have rethought my time away....just kidding...it is great spending time with family and I have been looking forward to this!

Anywho....here is my take on the challenge:

When I was looking through my stamps and papers, I did not see any palm trees or pools or chairs, or stucco....so I was inspired by the bright blue tile in the pool and the leaves. I decided to make a "keeper box" using the template from Leigh Ann Baird and little 3x3 note cards.

stamps: Sketch an event, Forest Friends, God's Beauty all from SU
Paper: White and SU Pacific Point DP
Accessories: Ribbon, silver baubles, piercer, victoria embossing folder, script embossing folder, little leaves sizzix die, button
Template for Keeper Box from Leigh Ann Baird

Our Creative Corner- Something old from your stash- Sketch an event stampset- I don't think I have used in 3 years
Totally Papercrafts Challenge- buttons and bows
Allsorts Challenge: 1,2,3- 1 button on my box, 2 colors, 3 papers (Pacific Point, white , Pacific point dp)

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I hope everyone is enjoying their week and had a good beginning so far! By the time you view this post, I will be away for the week with my daughters to visit my parents and getting together with my sister who I don't often see. I have been looking forward to the time we will be spending together. I have scheduled posts through out the week for all the different dt's and challenges, etc. I won't have access to a computer so I sure will be missing all your inspiration!! I will for sure catch up with you when I return!

Well anywho, since today is Tuesday, it is time for the Midnight Madness Sketch! This is just one of the sketches. For the CAS sketch, winners, and sponsor details, please visit the MMSC blog.

Here is my take on the sketch!!

This past weekend, Wags n Whiskers had a new release of several sweet images. The card I created today uses one of them illustrated by Cris de Lara. She has such a fun and whimsical style to her creations. This image is called Let's do Lunch. The papers are from Basic Grey Nook and Pantry. The buttons are from my stash including the sugar pot which was in my Christmas buttons. The image is water colored with distress inks.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Wags n Whiskers: Let's Do Lunch
Paper: BG Nook and Pantry, old olive, bitter chocolate
Accessories: spellbinders, buttons, ribbon, sewing machine, distress inks

challenges:

Stamp Something~ Something cute
Totally Papercrafts Challenge: buttons and bows

Please visit the rest of the Design Team Divas to see their take on this week's sketch!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!! I hope everyone has been enjoying their day. I was hoping to post this much earlier today, however I have not been feeling well and spent a lot of the day in bed. Later in the afternoon, my inlaws came to visit, hence....my later post. Sorry!

I wanted to share with you a Valentine Cupcake holder I created for my girls and husband. Just a fun little Valentine treat. I used the Hey Cupcake template from Leigh Ann Baird at Perfect Presentations.

Isn't it so cute!! Just a fun easy project. I cut mine out by hand using the templates but Leigh Ann also has them available so you can use your Cricut.
I used the colors from the Color Throwdown challenge and Crazy 4 Challenges (red):

Stamps: SU Love You Much
Paper: My Mind's Eye Be Loved
Accessories: Spellbinders Flourish Accents, Spellbinders label 9, Scalloped punch from SU
