Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend!! While it has been busy here we have had a good time as well.

Since today is Sunday....it is also time for another Stampin Sister in Christ Challenge. This week's challenge is brought to us by Lisa.

Lisa chose the verse:

2 Timothy 1-6 "You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs--he wants to please his commanding officer. Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops."

As Father's Day approaches next week, we need to reflect on how blessed we are to have the men in our lives who serve as both as both fathers and husbands.

Lisa's Challenge this week is:
Make a Father's Day card/project.
.. or just a masculine card

Here is my take on the challenge:

For my card I used the Midnight Madness Sketch for the week, On Eagles Wings and the Dad set from Our Daily Bread Designs. Since it is a masculine card, I distressed the edges to give it a masculine feel. I have used some pearly new paper from SEI called On the Beach. My background sky is sponged and dry embossed.

Masculine cards are harder for me to make but I think this one turned out o.k. and that my Dad will like it...I hope.

Challenges

There you are Chris - I was waiting to see what you had come up with this week. Well, look what we have here - a masculine card!! Woo Hoo Chris!! I know you do such feminine and delicate work normally, but girl you can even do the masculine, more distressed look also. What a totally awesome FD card you've come up with Chris. Even got to keep the stitching which fits perfectly with this card.

Thanks SO MUCH for finding time to play this week Chris and I hope you can join us again next week.

Hi Chris!

This is supercool! I love that eagle! Great colors and non-feminine details ;o) I think that is the most difficult with men's cards - how to stay away from all the feminin embellishments and detalis.

Thanks for joining us this week!
