Hi all! If you are here for the Wags n Whiskers sneak peak or the Inky Impressions challenge, please scroll down to the next post.

Happy Hump Day everyone! Not is it the middle of the day but it is also the middle of the week! Whimsy is kicking of hump day with a bang. There is lots of fun to be had. Today marks a new digi release (6 images, 9 sentiments set an a new artist) and instead of just doing a blog hop, we decided to kick off the release with a blog hop (you can click here for the hop) and a new challenge!! So 1/2 the team will have a blog hop and the other will host the challenge today!

Today I am sharing the challenge with you. The Whimsy challenge this week is to use a digi, flowers, and markers. Easy peasy right? So what are you waiting for...let's get crafting!! To make it more fun, there is going to be a prize for one lucky participant in the challenge who will be randomly picked.

Here is my take on the challenge. I used the new digi release image Gracie's Roses illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and Raindrop Echo Design's Gracies Roses Sentiments. Isn't she just darling. Reminds me of Sally in the old Dick and Jane books (those are even before my time, LOL!).

I used copic markers and prisma color pencils and gamsol to color her. The layout uses the Stamp Something sketch designed by my dear friend and Whimsy stamps owner, Denise. I also incorporated dots to go with Crissy's second Sunday's With Crissy challenge. The dp is some old BG paper I have had in my stash.

challenges:
Going Grey with ScrapCreations Challenge- basic grey paper and an open challenge
Crafts and Me - Sparkle
Charisma- Girly card with flowers
Incy Wincy- anything goes
Creative Card Crew- April Showers bring May flowers
Simon Says Stamp- Buttons, bows and bling

Whoosy Daisy Challenge - As you Like It
SD: something old (mine is the bg paper I have hoarded)
Crafty Hos': flowers
Kaboodle Blog: Celebrate Spring

Paper Play Challenge: pastels
Sunday's With Crissy challenge: dots
Stamp Something sketch
Sentimental Sunday's- For that someone special ( I made this for my niece)

For more inspiration for this Whimsy challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

Don't forget if you use a digi, flowers, and markers on your creation, please leave a direct link here. We also hope you have a chance to visit the rest of the teams incredible creations on the hop. You won't want to miss it!

Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments!

hugs,
Chris
