Happy Tuesday!! I hope all is well with you all!! Life has been busy but great!! My parents have been visiting for the past week and we have been having a great time together. Unfortunately they leave today. I will truly miss having them here!!!! I am so blessed to have such special parents and I thank God for the time we have had together. Now...I get to look forward to the next time.
Today I am popping in to share a sneak peek of two stamp sets: Fishing and The Waves on the Sea, to be released tomorrow at Our Daily Bread Designs, and this week's Shining the Light challenge which is to Needle it!!!
The dp I used is some new My Mind's Eye paper I bought from Michaels. The borders on my image/sentiment panel is cut with the Spellbinders On the Edge dies. Instead of sewing I decided to pierce...making it more masculine.

Happy Thursday Friends!! I hope all is well with you all!! I am blessed to have my parents here for a vist!! Life has been busy but fun!!! I am so cherishing the time we are spending together!!!
Today I would like to pop in share a card I created.
I just had to break away from my more feminine cards to make a masculine birthday card for my dear hubby's birthday next week. Hopefully he likes it....
For my card I used Waves on the Sea and Fishing Net Background to be released on May 1 from Our Daily Bread Designs as well as The Mighty Sea
The background is embossed with SU basket weave. For some added texture, I added burlap. The top of the banner panel is embossed with soft swirls from Provocraft.
I hope you are inspired by my creation!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Friday all!!! I hope everyone has had a great weekend and is ready for the weekend!! I know I sure am.
Life has been crazy here in Virginia with the changes in schedule I have been going through but it sure helps to have had this beautiful weather that no matter how tired I am the sunny weather gives me a sunny disposition and more energy!! I thank God for the change in seasons and the miracles he has bestowed upon us with the new life in Spring!! Spring is my favoritie season as you see the flowers bud and open, plants sprout, leaves begin pop, and the changing colors!!
Today I am popping in to share a card that to me evokes some of the bright colors of Spring.
For my creation, I used the stamp sets Finch Collage and Hymn Collage recently released at Our Daily Bread Designs.
The image panel is embossed with Stampin Up Basket Weave since it reminds me of Aida Cloth and gives it a more vintage flair. The background is embossed with Darice Damask. Some of my image is cut out and popped up on dimensionals.
When I see this sentiment, I think of the verse "Look at the birds of the air.... your heavenly Father feeds them, aren't you much more valuable then they." Matthew 6 :26.
A great reminder to not worry but trust in God's provision. A reminder I need often!!!!

Hello Friends!! I hope you are all enjoying a nice spring day wherever you are. It seems we skipped from winter to summer this year. This week has been in the high 80's and very high humidity. I am not complaining since that has made the trees bloom....the grass turn greener...IT LOOKS Like SPRING!!!!
Today I wanted to share two cards with a nice spring/summer image.
Spring is on it's way so I just had to make a Springy Hyacinth Birthday card!! I just love the Basic Grey Lucille so I used that as my inspiration for the colors. The sketch is SC431 from Splitcoast Stampers for yesterday.
The stamps I used are the Our Daily Bread Designs Hyacinth and the coordinating Labels 26 dies from Spellbinders .
I love to sew on my cards but have not sewn as much lately since I had to get a new sewing machine after we moved and it just does not work like my old one. I was able to sew on this card!!! Woo hoo!!
I am entering this card in:

For my second creation I used Romantic Floral and Morning Glory from Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD). The background is embossed with Stampin Up Blossoms and a Swiss Dots folder from Provocraft.
The ODBD Romantic Floral Border is cut out with a Labels 26 Spellbinders die. I just love these dies and new stamps!! They are gorgeous and easy to make a card or project with the touch of elegance and they include flowers or a vintage flair!!
Here are some of the gorgeous stamps I used for my sets from Our Daily Bread Designs:
Here is the matching Labels 26 dies available at Our Daily Bread Designs.
I am entering my second card in this week's Word Art Wednesday- any Scripture or encouraging sentiment... be sure to stop by and check out their weekly free word art... it is so inspirational!!

Happy Tuesday all!! I hope you all are doing well!!! Scott has begun a new schedule at work so I am so blessed to not have to get up at 4 a.m. and only see him for a couple of hours a day before heading to bed. The schedule was fast wearing on us both!! God is good and He answers prayer!!!
Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs!!!

Hello Friends!! I have a card to share today using this month's ODBD release of two fabulous dies: Quatrefoil Pattern,and Quatrefoil Design. I just love the sheer elegance of them and the so many versatile designs you can use to create with them!!! For today's card I cut them out of Vanilla cardstock and used an R00 copic to highlight some of the design in the die.
I decided to use some nice soft and happy PINK as my background! It makes me feel happy and like spring or summer!! I then added a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs Hyacinth which I stamped on Ribbon Banners from Spellbinders. The foliage is created with a Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish, Martha Stewarts leaves, and Martha Stewarts Twig out of Old Olive and Bridal Bouquet.

Yesterday marked our one year Anniversary of moving here to Virginia!! While I can't say life has been easy, we can see the blessings God has bestowed upon us and the lessons we have learned and continue to learn. I thank God for leading us here and for the many wonderful friends we have met. I would like to share a verse that has meant a lot to Scott and I over the last few months...a reminder that we are not alone.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Food for Thought: A life without God no matter how happy you feel you are is less fulfilling then a life with God no matter how many difficulties you face.
Have a blessed weekend!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Good morning Friends! Happy Hump Day!! I hope everyone had a blessed Easter!!! Since Scott had off on Monday as well, we had a wonderful extended holiday together!
Yesterday I was up early and had a chance to play with yesterday's Splitcoast color challenge CC420 A Red and Saffron Party (Pool Party, So Saffron, Red). For my dessert option, I chose to make my card Spring (CC419).

The shape of the card is Spellbinders Labels 1 and Decorative Labels 1.
