Good Morning Everyone! I hope everyone is keeping warm. It is only 10 degress here. It is nice and cozy inside looking out at the cold snow.

The card I am sharing with you today has really evolved. I made it with three purposes in mind. First I wanted to make it using the layout presented as a Splitcoast challenge by I(Heart)2stamp (SFYTT). I also wanted to use materials sent to me from a dear friend of mine in a R.A.K. just last week. Thirdly, I was making it as a birthday card for my mother in law. It, however, is no longer a birthday card since as I began this card a friend emailed me and asked to make her a 75th Anniversary card for her ASAP. WaLa! Here it is. I hope you like it. The image is made using Brenda Walton die cuts that I paper pieced, layered and glittered on a dry embossed background. The design paper and gold glitter cardstock is from K&Co. I added ribbon, pearls, and one glittered purple prima.

The thick ribbon is actually a green which matches perfectly with the designer paper. I bought this ribbon at Michaels in their Christmas Ribbon. I loved it and new I just had to use it. The entire card is sewn with metallic gold thread.

Card Recipe

paper:designer paper (Floral Stamp Embossed Paper) and gold glitter paper- K&Co., purple bazzill

Acessories: pearls, glittered ribbon from Holiday Ribbon Bowtique, American crafts purple glitter ribbon, gold metallic thread, nestabilities, cuttlebug embossing template, and glitter. I enjoyed the challenge. I would like to try it again with another image.

Have a great day! I can't believe in two days it is Christmas! Well I better go make my birthday card for my mother in law now.
