Happy Saturday All!! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend!! I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge. I am currently away looking for a house in Virginia since this past week we received a signed contract on our house in New York!! God is good!! Praise God in this dwindling economy, He provided us with a buyer and an excellent real estate agent. Now I pray that we find the right house in Virginia.

This week's Shining the Light challenge is:
Since it is February and we are acknowledging national heroes (President’s Day) or people who are special to us (Valentine’s Day) in the U.S. , the challenge team is challenging you to acknowledge and case a crafter you admire or a creation you admire changing just two elements to make it our own.
Please let us know who you cased and leave a link to their creation as well as tell us what you changed.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, February 10th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award.Inorder to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have yoursubmission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, February 10th at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery , please use the keyword is ODBDSLC95. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.
This was a very fun challenge for me. I just wish I was able to case many more than just one. Unfortunately my time has been very limited lately. I was deeply honored to have the opportunity to case my dear friend, Sabrina. Sabrina is not only very talented but she has a heart of gold. I just love her!!! Not too long ago, she sent a gorgeous vintage tag she created to me. I love and cherish it so, that I just had to case it for this week's challenge.
I changed the flower ( I made mine of lace), the colors, the sentiment, the dies, and the background was stamped using the Grunge Butterfly Background and the It is Well with my Soul Background

While this tag is not necessarily Valentine's, it is based on a love theme. Who loves us more than God himself. What a comfort to know that He is with us in both in the storms and in the rainbows of our life. What greater love did the Father share with us than to send His one and only Son into the world to die for us and give us eternal life. I know that amidst the trials our family has faced an continue to face in selling our home and now putting an offer in on a new one that He was a comfort directing our paths in every step of the way. It is during the low points of our life that we can truly see His leading and feel His comforting hand carrying us through...if we trust in Him.
