Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend! It has been nice weather for most of the weekend and we had the opportunity to go visit with friends and neighbors at graduation parties. Today it is very rainy so I can either craft, blog or sleep after church and dinner. LOL!
Today it is time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge!!
This week's challenge host is Peggysue who chose the verse:
Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God.
This is one of my favorite verses!! Although short, it is so powerful! It gives me such security to know that God is always there and that I can wait on Him. When the perils of life come, He Says, "Be Still and Know that I am God." I am there for you, I am holding your hand." I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans not to harm you but to give you hope and a future." As my husband and I come to a junction in our life where we feel God has a different calling for us, we can be patient and wait on Him knowing He will guide us. Do you have that comfort, do you listen to the quiet and what He is telling you. "Be Still and know that He is God!!"
Peggysues challenge:
Make a CAS card or project.
Anyone who knows me or has followed my creations, knows that CAS and Chris Olsen are not used in the same sentence. LOL! That is indeed a challenge for me!!! I did my best though...
For my patriotic card that I plan to send to Operation Write Home, I used the You Are Not Forgotten stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs.
On This holiday weekend, I would to like our troops for putting there lives in harms way to preserve our countries freedom's and safety!!
Card Recipe:
stamps: You Are Not Forgotten stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs.
paper: Real Red, Not Quite Navy, Neenah Solar White, Kraft
Accessories: Ribbon tags Trio from Spellbinders, Spellbinders Grand Caliber, Provocraft Stars Embossing folder, red grosgrain, Recollections Silver baubles
For more inspiration for the Stampin in Christ Challenge, please visit my dt sisters:
Grace, Linda, Lisa, Peggysue, Randi (on leave), Miesje, Kristine, Sabrina, Marilynn and Rebecca.
For the full devotional and challenge details please visit the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge. I know I am always enlightened or inspired by Marilynn's take on the verse each week and I am sure you will be also!!
Challenges I am entering my creation in:
Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!! I hope everyone in the USA an Canada are enjoying the holiday weekend!
Have a great day!!
