ODBD Bread Basket

Friday, April 1, 2011
Hello everyone! Welcome to the April 1st Our Daily Bread designs Blog Hop! The sticks in the bread basket are soooo excited this month about all the sets being released! I know you will enjoy this hop and will love all the new sets!  I know I personally have enjoyed inking them up!!!

If you got here from the amazing  Angie's Blog, you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog and hop from there!
The Hop will run from 8am EDT April 1 until 8pm EDT. April 2.
The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Sun. April 3.
For this hop, there will be THREE Prizes of One Free Set (your choice), and
ONE GRAND PRIZE of THREE FREE SETS, YOUR CHOICE!
Here is what you need to do to be entered in the drawing:
  • Leave comments for each designer on each blog
  • Return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment, telling us you completed the hop and noting any blogs you were unable to comment on.

Dawn

Sandee
Connie
Becca
Lorelie
Betty

Here are my card details:

Many associate me with more feminine cards...I do make many more of them and enjoy adding all the details.  Today, however, I want to share a masculine card set I created for Father's Day using the fun Father's Day set released today!!  Rather than coloring the moose, I wanted to distress the edges of my image panel instead to match the Creative Imaginations designer paper I found in my stash.

The image is frame with a circle and Labels 18 die from Spellbinders which I cut with my GRAND CALIBER.  The sentiment is cut out with the Ribbon Trios 3 dies from Spellbinders.  Since I did not want to use a lot of embellishment on a masculine card, I decided to create a window to create some interest.  The trim on the card and bag is raffia.
On the inside of my card, I created a pocket to put a gift card inside.  Under the pocket, I used the verse from the Father's Day set which says: "A good man obtains favor from the Lord."  The "Happy Father's Day" sentiment is from the Happy Father's Day set released last year!!  This set is on sale at ODBD for 15% off.
In addition to a gift card holder, I wanted to create a coordinating gift bag.  The handle are raffia.  The bag is created with a Stampin Up template die.

I hope you enjoyed my creations today.... now from here hop on over to Dawn's Blog where I know you will be in for some real inspiration.
Have a great day!!
Chris
