Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! Well our challenge at Our Daily Bread Shining the Light Designs this week is to use birds on our creation. When I think of birds, I often associate them with Spring although they can be winter also...but in the Spring the birds sing. Well it definitely is not spring here!!! Snow and lots of it again!! Yuck!!!

Anywho...enough complaining...atleast it is not an earthquake or a Tsunami...

Now on to this week's Shining the light challenge....

This weeks challenge:

-Use a bird image, punched bird, or birds on your designer paper.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, April 7. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by April 7 at 8 p.m. EST.If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC55. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Now on to my creation...

Yesterday, there was an awesome new release at Our Daily Bread Designs and I am so excited to have the opportunity to play with them. I just love the Birds and Butterfly Labels so much that I decide to make a Mother's Day card with it. I stamped one of the images from the ODBD Birds and Butterflies labels and cut it out/framed it with the Labels 18 die from Spellbinders using my GRAND CALIBER. (All the image sentiments in this are made to coordinate with the Labels 18 Spellbinders die. The sentiment is from the Mother's Day set (released yesterday).

CARD RECIPE

Stamps: ODBD Bird and Butterfly Labels, Mother's Day

Paper: Prima Annalee (the blue rectangle), SU Parisian Breeze and the Basic Grey Hello Luscious

Accessories: Grand Caliber from Spellbinders, lace, gingham, Fleur De Lis Accents corner die, Spellbinders labels 18, Martha stewart shell border punch
