Hello Friends!! Welcome to the April ODBD New Release!! Today we have some fun dies and stamps to share with you and the bread basket has lots of inspiration to share. You won't want to miss the inspiration nor the chance to win!!!
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards! You have until April 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win! The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on April 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
Here is my first creation using the How Sweet the Sound stamp set, the new umbrella die, and Layered Lacey squares from the New Release!!
I had such fun layering the Fancy Foliage, Aster die Leaves, inside my umbrella to create a flower bouquet!!
The dp is from the ODBD Blushing Rose Collection. The side of the card is created using the square from the Layered Lacey Squares die.
My second creation is a reverse gatefold I created (my own design) using the April Showers stamp set, umbrella die, and the Layered lacey Squares. The designer paper is from the ODBD Shabby Rose Collection, except for the umbrella which uses some scraps.

In addition to the new release dies, I used the Aster die (leaves), Fancy Foliage, and Beautiful Borders dies from ODBD. The rain drops are created using the rain drop die included in the Umbrella dies that I used like a stencil. The sides are created using the gilded gate dies.

Amazing is right! So many gorgeous details. I love the contrasting stitching, the lovely PP, the pearls! I love them all so beautiful together!
wow! These are awesome Chris. I just love these quotes and love how the designs of your cards, they are just awesome, and yes I have pinned them :).
Thud! WOWSERS, girl…you really rocked this release! Your projects are over the moon gorgeous! Colors and flowers are just beautiful on both cards and I love the way you used the raindrop dies to create a stencil! Stunning projects, my friend! Hugs!
The gatefold design is brlliant - and I also love the metallics on the umbrella, but it's the first card with the upside umbrella with those lovely flowers tumbling out of it that really caught me.
Gorgeous cards mom!! I'm telling you...flowers are your thing! They just seem to unleash your "Mojo". ;) I love the flowers on the first but you KNOW that second one is my favorite. Purple, flowers, die cuts...GASP! :) I think everyone else has accurately described how I feel about that gatefold too! Hate to tell you I told you so but...I told you so! Love you!!
Hugs,
Nicki

Two lovely cards, Chris. You used the patterned paper so beautifully!
Chris, your cards are fabulous! I especially like how you filled the umbrella with flowers on your first card!

WOW! WOW! "WOW" Amazing cards...especially that reverse gate fold card...
Chris, Your cards are so beautiful! I love your style!
Oh my, these are so GORGEOUS. So much detail on both of these cards. I love the umbrella upside down and all the flowers. Very creative use of so many dies. Thanks for sharing.
So gorgeous Chris!! I just love all the layering and the flowers. Your colors, designs, and shapes of the cards are stunning!! Love your verses too!!
With the first lovely card, I liked the upside-down umbrella, to me, it signified capturing and holding the blessings rather than being upright, and keeping them from flowing upon us, does that make sense? Very nice!
O Chris these are just over the top gorgeous!!! I love your reverse gatefold, and can't wait for you to do a tutorial on how you did it! LOL! Your colors are so pretty and love the floral in the umbrella! Gorgeous as always my friend!
hugs,
Grace
oh my word... both cards are absolute JAW-DROPPERS, chris!! what talent you have!!
Gorgeous cards - love using the umbrella as a "flower pot". The 2nd card is stunning. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful cards. I like the umbrella full of flowers on the first one.
Beautiful cards, love how you used the umbrella die on the first one.
Using the pearl at the top of each umbrella was a really cool idea. I like the upside down umbrella as a planter too.
These cards are wonderful. The use of the umbrella on the first one in a unique way is so creative. The second card is stunning: the colors, layers, and textures all fit together beautifully.
WOW Chris! You're one gifted w/creative talent woman! Both cards are jaw dropping gorgeous! So many stunning details to admire and enjoy! Excellent artwork!
Chris, these are just gorgeous! Love how you have all the flowers coming out of the umbrella on the first. The combination of dies, flowers and colors is amazing on the 2nd. Love it!
Chris, sigh, I'm at a loss for words to describe the beauty here. Your first card takes my breath away every time I see it. I cannot get enough of that beautiful creation - with the papers, and layers, florals and gorgeous bow - my goodness!! And then there's your second possibly even more amazing creation!! The beautiful design with more gorgeous florals, and the amazing colors and folds? I'm out of words - simply gorgeous!
Hugs,
Audrey
Both cards are just gorgeous, love the paper piecing of the umbrella's in both and I love how you added the flowers inside on the first and your lovely flowers in the second too to frame the verse!!

WOWZA! Incredible details on these cards! I love the unique way you used that umbrella!
A reverse gatefold card? Such a cool idea! I wish I could see the back side, too. Love the way you turned the umbrella die cut upside down in your first card, to make it a planter of sorts. Another neat idea! Great colors in both cards. Thank you for sharing such great inspiration! ~ Andrea
