Hello, Friends!! I hope this spring is finding you all well!! It is hard to believe that it is already almost 1.2 way through the month of April, almost a 1/4 of a year already. Wow, does time fly. The tulips and daffodils, as well as the flowering trees, are in full bloom here!! Even my daylilies are growing tremendously!!
Today I am popping in to share a card I made using this week's sketch at the Shining the Light challenge. This is will go to, one of what seems many, that are not feeling well right now and could use a little prayer or a bit of cheer to perk up their day.
ODBD Stamps used: The Lord Has Risen, April Showers
ODBD Dies Used: Layered Lacey Squares, Umbrellas die
ODBD Paper Used: Christmas 2014 Paper Collection (polka- dotted piece and Umbrella), and Shabby Rose Paper Collection (2 strips)
For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my DT sisters:
Elizabeth, Gracie, Paula, Diana, Robin, Chris
For more information on the challenge, a chance to link up your creation, or a chance to win a $15 gift certificate (until April 19 at 8 pm EST), please see the ODBD blog.
Verse of the day: Matthew 25: 37“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
Thanks so much for stopping by and for your comments!! They truly are appreciated.
Blessings,

I just love the violets from The Lord Has Risen stamp set. It was fun to color with Copics and fussy cut. The sentiment panel was stamped and then embossed with the Darice Clouds embossing folder.

Chris- this card will surely brighten anyone's day!! Love the fussy-cut flowers along with the embossing over the sentiment and the new die cut frame (mine is on the way :-)) The colors are gorgeous as well as the stitching- just a perfect card! Thanks for sharing your fabulous talent with all of us- hugs to you, my friend and God Bless!
Chris, This card is really beautiful. I am a big fan of the violets stamp. I used it on several of my Easter cards this year. Great job! Blessings to you, Linda
Oh wow Chris, I have always loved the scriptures you used in your write up (I had to say that first...love it!)
Your card is gorgeous! I love the colors and the papers you used. Love the design on the umbrella and the way you changed your lacey square to a rectangle! Everything is done so beautifully, like always! Love the stitching and pearls as well!
Love the colors of this cheery card!!! It's just beautiful!!! Nice touch with the cloud embossing folder too!! Changing the size of the square die cut is a great idea too!!!
Chris, what a fabulous job you have done on this card. Such beautiful layering of those flowers and the beautiful soft colors. I absolutely love this card.
Such a sweet card - the recipient is sure to feel blessed! I hope you are feeling better too. Ps... As usual, I wish I could sew like you!
Wow Chris...what an awesome card...I LOVE the new dies!!! and such pretty cheery colours and flowers, love the layout...excellent challenge!!

Oh, Chris, this is gorgeous!!! Wow! I love every inch of it and really love the color scheme (our favorite). And I also love the violets. Just a perfect card for this week's sketch, and that sweet umbrella is adorable! It's sure to bring some real joy and sunshine into someone's heart! Hugs!
Such a beautiful card Chris but sorry to hear there are people you know who aren't feeling well. Beautiful colours and gorgeous colouring and fussy cutting of the flowers. Love all the layers and beautiful bow with the umbrella too.
so lovely, sure to brighten their day!! Love the clouds embossing on the sentiment panel, such pretty colors!
