ODBD Bread Basket

Tuesday, April 14, 2015
Hello, Friends!!  I hope this spring is finding you all well!!  It is hard to believe that it is already almost 1.2 way through the month of April, almost a 1/4 of a year already.  Wow, does time fly.  The tulips and daffodils, as well as the flowering trees, are in full bloom here!! Even my daylilies are growing tremendously!!

Today I am popping in to share a card I made using this week's sketch at the Shining the Light challenge.  This is will go to, one of what seems many, that are not feeling well right now and could use a little prayer or a bit of cheer to perk up their day.

Our Daily Bread Designs, The Lord has Risen, April Showers, Umbrella dies, Layered Lacey Squares, Shabby Rose Paper Collection, Christmas 2014 Paper Collection, designed by Chris Olsen

I just love the violets from The Lord Has Risen stamp set.  It was fun to color with Copics and fussy cut. The sentiment panel was stamped and then embossed with the Darice Clouds embossing folder.

40“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Chris, This card is really beautiful. I am a big fan of the violets stamp. I used it on several of my Easter cards this year. Great job! Blessings to you, Linda

Oh wow Chris, I have always loved the scriptures you used in your write up (I had to say that first...love it!)
Your card is gorgeous! I love the colors and the papers you used. Love the design on the umbrella and the way you changed your lacey square to a rectangle! Everything is done so beautifully, like always! Love the stitching and pearls as well!
