Today I am popping in to share a card I made for this week's Shining the Light challenge at ODBD, which is a color challenge!!
The flowers are Bee Balm. The lacey frame is created using pieces from the largest Layered Lacey Squares Die. The sponged clouds were created with the Raindrops and Clouds die (the same as the die cut clouds).
ODBD Stamps Used: How Sweet the Sound, Bee Balm
ODBD Dies Used: Clouds and Raindrops, Layered Lacey Squares
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, Who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When we’ve been there tenthousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.
Words: John Newton (1779)

Wow!! How much texture and color! Love it! What a lovely take on the color palette!!! Beautiful job friend! Hugs, Gracie.
Wow Chris! This is just gorgeous!! I love the bee balm with the purple and turquoise colors...so beautiful and the lavender lace with the gorgeous silk ribbon and bow is just soooo perfect! Love your sponged sky and little clouds with that classic verse from the song! I love your sewing as always and to top it all off, that wonderful border made of the lacey squares die!!! Such a wonderful idea! (One which I must borrow (heehee) if I can remember)!! Beautiful my sweet friend!
I love that dainty lace peaking out with the ribbon and how you used the square die for your border!!!!! So smart and so pretty!!!
Oh, Chris, this is stunning!! I am in love with all the wonderful and delicate details of another of your gorgeous cards! Your attention to detail is amazing, and I always LOVE your bows! Beautiful use of the dies...and I agree...just love the lace! And, what a glorious Resurrection Day it was...amazing grace...one of my favorite songs! Hugs!
I like it very much, have a nice day, Ageeth
Chris, your cards always amaze me. I love how you put so many details in there! Gorgeous colouring of the Bee Balm - I love the blues and purples. Love how you embossed the background and the clouds - sponged and diecut, lace and bow are all beautiful. So beautiful!
This is stunning Chris. Love the dies and the embossing, and such beautiful colors.
Chris, Your card is lovely !!! I can always pick out your card without seeing your name, you have such an elegant style and I love how you used the thistle to make the lovely flowers !!!
Chris I love this!! Love the edging, love all the texture, colours and beautiful bow - it's all stunning!!!
