ODBD Bread Basket

Wednesday, April 1, 2015
Hello Friends!!  Welcome to the April ODBD New Release!!  Today we have some fun dies and stamps to share with you and the bread basket has lots of inspiration to share.  You won't want to miss the inspiration nor the chance to win!!!

Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until April 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on April 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

Here is my first creation using the How Sweet the Sound stamp set, the new umbrella die, and Layered Lacey squares from the New Release!!

Our Daily Bread Designs, Umbrella die, How sweet the Sound, Blushing Rose Paper collection, Layered Lacey squares, designer-Chris Olsen, Twinkles Glow with Stamps

I had such fun layering the Fancy Foliage, Aster die Leaves, inside my umbrella to create a flower bouquet!!

The dp is from the ODBD Blushing Rose Collection.  The side of the card is created using the square from the Layered Lacey Squares die.

My second creation is a reverse gatefold I created (my own design) using the April Showers stamp set, umbrella die, and the Layered lacey Squares.  The designer paper is from the ODBD Shabby Rose Collection, except for the umbrella which uses some scraps.

Our Daily Bread Designs, Umbrella die, Showers of blessing, Layered Lacey Squares die, Fancy Foliage, Beautiful Borders, Aster die, Shabby Rose Collection, gilded gate die, designer-Chris Olsen, Twinkles Glow with Stamps

Our Daily Bread Designs, Umbrella die, Showers of blessing, Layered Lacey Squares die, Fancy Foliage, Beautiful Borders, Aster die, Shabby Rose Collection, designer-Chris Olsen, Twinkles Glow with Stamps

In addition to the new release dies, I used the Aster die (leaves), Fancy Foliage, and Beautiful Borders dies from ODBD.  The rain drops are created using the rain drop die included in the Umbrella dies that I used like a stencil. The sides are created using the gilded gate dies.

Here is a photo of the new releases used:

The gatefold design is brlliant - and I also love the metallics on the umbrella, but it's the first card with the upside umbrella with those lovely flowers tumbling out of it that really caught me.

With the first lovely card, I liked the upside-down umbrella, to me, it signified capturing and holding the blessings rather than being upright, and keeping them from flowing upon us, does that make sense? Very nice!
