ODBD Bread Basket

Tuesday, September 3, 2013

Hello all!! I hope everyone in the USA enjoyed a day off for Labor Day and had a chance to spend time with family.  We had a great weekend of camping...taking advantage of a day off from work and enjoying the last of the summer!!

Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the light challenge at our Daily Bread Designs.  This week's challenge is one layer!! That means one layer and a base (this includes layers using dies-  lets keep it thin and simple)

Here is my creation using the Bordered Sentiment technique found in the resources section at Splitcoast and the Holly wreath stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs (recently released)

Our Daily Bread Designs, Holly Wreath, Chris Olsen
Card Recipe:
ODBD Stamps used: Holly wreath
Embossing folder: SU Square lattice textured impressions folder
Other accessories: Corner Rounder punch. 3/4 inch wide stitched black ribbon, Scoring tool
Ink: Black Memento and copics

For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

To see all the creations in one place or join the challenge, click here.  You have until September 8th  to join us.   For this challenge you may use any stamps but it you have any Our Daily Bread Designs stamps we would love to see you use them. If you participate, you have a  chance to win the $15 certificate toward ODBD stamps or to be Spotlighted for the Shining the Light Award (The Shining the Light Award is only for those who use ODBD stamps). We would love to see your creations.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you were inspired in some way by my creation.  Have a blessed day!!!

What a beautiful card, love the way you've used the bordered Sentiment technique and then expanded it to include the embossing on top!

Love your take on the technique! The texture really sets it apart and that ribbon down the side is so dramatic. Beautiful card!
