Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you all have been having a good weekend!  It has been icy and freezing outside here but so cozy indoors!!

Today I  would like to share the new challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ.  This week's challenge is hosted by the sweet Miesje!!

Miesje chose the verse:
1 John 3:18 - Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

Her challenge is to create a card or project or that signifies love but has NO WORDS.

When most do this challenge or think of this challenge, I am sure they will think of Valentine's Day.  I, however, think of no greater love than Jesus dying on the cross for my sins although I did not deserve it.  There is no greater gift or expression of love. It is by grace I have been saved not by works...

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 3:16"
Jesus' life is a testimony to the life we should live and how we should express our love to others.

For my project today, I kept Jesus' love and his death foremost in mind.  Using the Stone Fish stamp and the Fish Backgrounds stamp sets from Our Daily Bread Designs, I created a key chain of wood (stamped on Mahogany, wood burned and cut out with a scroll saw) and a gift box.

The box is my own design and is created with Bitter Chocolate Bazzill paper and K&Co. Blue Awning dp.  The ribbon is really not ribbon but rather suede cording and blue hemp (to tie on the button). The top of the box has torn paper to create waves and stitching.

challenges I am entering my creation in:
Catch The Bug  - Anything Goes
Little Claire's  - Anything Goes
Sew Many Cards - Anything goes
Bearly Mine -  for men/boys
Cards For Men MASCULINE and Love
Everybody-Art-Challenge - bag or box
Tuesday Throwdown - stitching
Paper Take Weekly - anything goes
Paper Play - (2E) – stamp it out (use a stamp
Fab 'n' Funky - chocolate & blue
Cooking It Up With Katie - (1E) - metal, brown, 2 design papers
Pixie Cottage - SKETCH (see below) and/or buttons
