Donkey Smiles for Michelle

Happy Hump Day Everyone!! I can't believe it is Wednesday already. My time flies.

I had hoped to post yesterday but I noticed blogger was having problems and you could not leave a comment on posts etc. so I figured I would just wait until today. Of course I left several comments all over blogland, hopefully blogger was able to save them and post them later. Oh well not posting yesterday and the errors with blogger gave me a chance to spend quality time with my daughters. It was my youngest daughter Meghan's birthday!! My baby turned 8. Wow!

This card I created today is for a wonderful Blogging Sister Michelle Oatman AKA Donkey Smiles. You may have read about her accident in several posts around blogland as crafters again pull together to help someone in need. She was seriously injured in an accident on her farm. This accident resulted in the loss of her right eye. Michelle has a very long road of recovery ahead of her as well as learning to live her life with only one eye. She will have surgeries and continued care and therapy as she continues to heal.

Here is my creation I made today using Whimsy's free image:

I used the layout from Sketch Saturday created by my dt sister Sem See. For my embellishments, I broke away from my norm and used a crocheted and felt layered flower and a crocheted butterfly (given to me by my friend Sabrina!! Thanks Sabrina). I also had fun inking up my sky background with my scalloped oval punch and a sponge. I went crazy with my corner rounder punch too.
