SSHP14 - Getting Flaky with Saturday Spotlight

It's Saturday and time for another challenge at Saturday Spotlight!!!

This week we would like to challenge you to GET WILD WITH YOUR SNOWFLAKES!! You may be sick of the snow by now, but I say...If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!! Use LOTS of them on your creation or use them in a unique way like making a wreath or a fun snowflake flower. So get flaky and join us this week!!!

Now on to my creation for the challenge:

I have seen the saying many times that "Snowflakes are Winters Flowers" ...Oh how true it is. Yes we all do tire of snow when we get an abundance but there is nothing like the fresh white blanket of snow or the ice and snow which sticks to the trees on a cold morning. What beauty nature holds!!! I thought this verse from Scripture Collection 1 at Our Daily Bread Designs so appropriate for the snowflakes! The Stamped snowflakes are from the Peace and Joy set at ODBD. The layered snowflake is created with embossing and the Spellbinders Create a Flake die. The sketch is Mojo121. I also incorporated the new challenge hosted by Betty Wright...Stamping in Time..-SNTODBD01 (more on this below)- to use the Scripture Collection 1 or 2 sets.

Paper: BG Nook and Pantry, Bitter Chocolate and white
Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder, Holographic embossing powder, Create a Flake 1 Spellbinders, sewing machine, American Crafts ribbon, pearl

Have you heard!!! There is a new challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs hosted by my former dt sister Betty!!

Betty Wright also known as gbedwrig ht at SCS is starting a bi-monthly ODBD assignment challenge starting at the ODBD blog! Come visit the second and fourth Thursday's of the month for a new assigment challenge.

This challenge is a little different from what you may be familiar with. Why? Well, first of all, it is an assignment challenge. Each week Betty will initiate a challenge to accompany a specific ODBD stamp set. If you do not have the set, do not fear. Betty will give a list of the stamp set she will use for the next time each time she posts. In most cases you will have plenty of time to get the set.
