Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you all have had a great week and are geared up for the weekend!! I sure am. It is suppose to be a real cold one here. Maybe we won't have the high wind gusts and can have a fire. Something so cozy about a fire. My fave thing of winter!
Anywho...Soon it will be Valentine's Day and it is time to create those special cards for the special people in your life. This week's challenge is to make a Valentine's Card with a Wags n Whiskers image but not use red! (if you do not have a Wags n Whiskers stamp, you can buy them here)
Here is my creation for this challenge:
I used Bear Hug and paper pieced her dress. The rest I colored with prisma color pencils and gamsol. I used the Sketch from Sketch Saturday 84.
Stamps: Wags n Whiskers; Bear Hug
Paper: Basic Gray Sultry, Brown and White
Accessories: ric rac ribbon, flowers from ZVA Creative, Vintage corner die, MS heart border punch, Swiss dots embossing folder
Challenges:
Wags n Whiskers: Valentine without red
Corrosive chall~2 fav embellies....flowers and ribbon (ric rac).
Crazy 4 Challenges~polka dots (Swiss dot background).
Hand Full of Stamps~love
Crafty Calendar chall~warm colors (Pink and brown)
That's Just So Cute~new...new ribbon from my daughter for Christmas (she glowed from ear to ear when I used it)
Stamp Something~new somethings...new ric rac ribbon
Sketch Saturday 84
A Spoonful of Sugar- hearts

This next card I made with the New Our Daily Bread Designs stampset- Noah's Ark. This set could not have come at a better time since we are having a baby boom in our family. I have three nieces that have had babies in the last month and a half. (It makes me feel old to be a great Aunt. There is several years difference between my husband and his brothers.)
Anywho...I created this card for one of them. I incorporated the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge to make a baby card or a card for a new Christian as well as the Crazy 4 Challenge to use Polka dots. This card is full of them. I water colored my image. I used a sketch from Sketch for You to Try (Dec 190 hosted by Jen from a while back.
Stamps: Noah's Ark from Our Daily Bread Designs and the sentiment is from the Children of God set.
Paper: My Mind's Eye- Bloom and Grow
Accessories: Soft Suede ribbon, jewels, bermuda bay ribbon, Ek Success Moracco Lace punch, circle nestabilities, Spellbinders Ribbon tags trio
Challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges~polka dots
Stampin Sisters in Christ #20- baby card or a card for a new Christian
I hope you enjoyed today's post!! I will be back tomorrow with two challenges: The Spotlight Diva Challenge and a new Our Daily Bread Challenge!!!
