Happy Saturday everyone!! Today it is time for another Our Daily Bread Designs - Shining the Light Challenge and Saturday Spotlight Challenge.

For this week's challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge, the team would like to challenge you to use red or pink and bling on your creation since tomorrow is Valentine's Day. It need not be a Valentine's Day creation.

To make the challenge even more fun, there will be a prize of a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store for participant randomly chosen!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, February 18. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

Now on to my creation:

For this card I used the stamp set You Will Find Refuge from Our Daily Bread Designs. Chickadees are one of my fave birds and I find this verse so comforting. I used some Imaginesce paper and some scraps from my scrap bin for the dp. I love bling but believe it or not I struggled with how much to put on it to not take away from the beautiful bird. The little pearls and silver baubles seemed subtle but yet elegant. What do you think?

Stamps: You Will Find Refuge-Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: Imaginesce, Bitter Chocolate, Pink Pirouette, Bitter Chocolate
Accessories: Spellbinders Lattice Pendant, Spellbinders Lattice Border, MS pearls, ZVA Creative Pearls, Silver Baubles, May Arts Pink Ribbon, Cuttlebug Vintage Corner die

We hope you can join us for the challenge! If you do, please leave a direct link here to Mr. Linky. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC2. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Today is a new Saturday Spotlight Challenge!! I love this challenge. It really challenges you to think outside the box.

For this week's challenge.....
The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to use a household item on your creation...but NOT a craft item! Use safety pins, dryer sheets, household cleaners, paper clips for doing a technique or using as an embellishment.

This week's Saturday Spotlight is

Victoria Case Art Designs

(click HERE to go to her store)

One Lucky participant of the challenge this week will be randomly chosen to win four digital images of their choice from Victoria's store.

Here is my take on the challenge:

Stamps: Matthew from Susanna Custom Arts and Card Designs
Paper: Nook & Pantry- Basic Grey, Chocolate chip, dusty durango, white, water color paper
Accessories: paper clip, board clip, twine

This image is Matthew illustrated by Victoria Case and sold at Susanna's Custom Arts and Card Designs. I colored him in with water colors. The layout uses this week's Mojo Monday sketch. The colors uses the color challenge at SC this week which is Shadow Chocolate Durango (sage shadow, Choc. chip, and dusty durango). The household items I used on my creation are paperclips, twine and a board clip. I distressed my creation with sand paper (another household item) I plan on using this card for my nephews upcoming birthday. He calls his sister "sissy". I was going to add a big smooch from sissy but thought that I might be pushing it there so I went with the hug. LOL!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are inspired by my creation to join this week's challenge. For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters:

Happy Thursday Everyone!! I hope everyone is cozy and warm. We faired alright in the snow storm yesterday and did not get as much snow as predicted. It was more like 6-8 inches instead of the 12-18 that was predicted. The wind whipped and our power went off and on all day. It was a real nuisance and after a while I just gave up on restarting the computer to do my daily blog hopping and tried to not rely on any of the conveniences we are all blessed with day in and day out. Days like this make you count your blessings for all the gifts which are bestowed upon you. Sorry...I hope everything cooperates today so I can visit all your blogs.

Anywho...Today is day 2 of the sneak peaks at Wags n Whiskers and each of the design team members will be displaying a different image on their blogs today. Today I will be sharing the sneak peak: Snuzzle Love. Isn't she just the sweetest? It reminds me of my daughters and their stuffed animals. This is my youngest daughters fave image!! I plan to give it to her for Valentine's Day.

I colored this image in with water colors, cut her out and popped her on dimensionals. The layout I used is from Friday Sketchers Challenge. The paper is from one of my fave left over stash of SU Parisian Breeze. The ribbon is now all gone. It was the last of my left over May Arts ribbon scraps. (Boo hoo-I love this ribbon).

Stamps: New Release sneak peak Snuzzle Love from Wags n Whiskers.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I hope everyone is enjoying their week and had a good beginning so far!! We here in NY are preparing for a major snow storm beginning tonight. My husband is like a big kid and is praying for a blizzard which keeps him stranded and allows him the opportunity to pull the girls on their toboggan! The girls are excited as well. Weird as it may sound, since I really don't love the snow, I hope for their sakes we get one last good snow. Then winter can end...

Well anywho, since today is Tuesday, it is time for the Midnight Madness Sketch!

Once again, it's "YOUR PICK". Have fun creating! Make it fancy, clean and simple, or somewhere in-between. Enter one of each if you like! Have fun and enjoy your crafting.

Here is my take on the sketch!

Today I am so blessed to share a sneak peak of the new images that are being released on Friday from Wags n Whiskers, one of the stamp lines that Lacey carries in her store! This is a real honor as the real sneak peaks do not start until tomorrow at all the Wags n Whiskers design teams blogs!! Since Lacey is the sponsor, she thought it would be fun for me to share one image with you today. This is one of my fave images called "Easter Blessings" I also thought this image appropriate since Valentine's Day is right around the corner and this image definitely shows me LOVE.

To accommodate my image, I flipped the sketch. I had so much fun coloring "Easter Blessings" with water color distress inks and adding new paper, new flowers available at Michaels!, new spacers and charms sent to me from Lacey at her Stamps and create store (the silver flower on the top and the three little ones on the bottom, I just added small hero arts pearls in the middle)The very vanilla paper behind the image is dry embossed in the textile embossing folder.

In addition to using the challenges listed above, I incorporated the Wags N Whiskers Challenge for this week which is to add metal to your creation, it can be charms, spacers...anything metal. If you play, you have a chance to win a Wags n Whiskers stamp of your choice. You must use a Wags n Whiskers stamp for a chance to win.
