Our Daily Bread Designs, The Mighty sea, Boho Faith, Faith Hope Love dies, ovals dies, Stitched Ovals dies, Beautiful borders, designed by Chris Olsen

Hello, Friends!! I hope you are all well!!  While September is quickly approaching, it appears the fall weather is not.  It has been very sunny and beautiful but also very warm in the 90's with high humidity.  While it is warm, I still enjoy the green grass and the annual flowers.  Soon that will change.

Today I am sharing a card that includes an image that reminds me of summer- the ocean.  Oceans are symbolic of the mighty power of God!!  There is nothing more powerful or so vast as an ocean (to me symbolic of God's vast love when He died on the cross).

God’s love for you is deeper than the oceans  and His presence is everywhere. Whenever you’re at the beach just thank God for His beautiful creation. If His hand has the power to create the seas than rest assured His hand will guide you and get you through trials in life.

Psalm 33:5-8 He loves righteousness and justice; the world is filled with the gracious love of the Lord. By the word of the Lord the heavens were made; all the heavenly bodies by the breath of his mouth. He gathered the oceans into a single place; he put the deep water into storehouses. Let all the world fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him;

It seemed perfect to match a verse about God's faithfulness.  I made this as a sample for this week's Shining the Light -Anything Goes with scripture challenge.

Our Daily Bread Designs, The Mighty sea, Boho Faith, Faith Hope Love dies, ovals dies, Stitched Ovals dies, Beautiful borders, designed by Chris Olsen
I colored the Mighty Sea with copics.  The sky on the top and in the background and panel was sponged with blue ink and a scalloped circle as a tablet.  The embossed panel is stamped using the Provocraft x's and o's folder.  The verse from Boho Faith was stamped and cut out with the Stitched Ovals die and then matted on an oval cut from  an ODBD Ovals die

This is a pen that my hubby made which matches the card.  You can go to our Etsy store to see it  more closely by clicking on the picture.  We have a variety of other pens and letter openers as well.

So beautiful Chris! This is one of my favorite stamps from ODBD. The oceans are almost as vast as the night sky to little me anyway!! Gorgeous coloring and sponging dear friend and love all your beautiful layers. You always do the little extras to make your cards have such a finished look. The the sparkle and the thread you used too!
It is so hard sometimes to live by faith not by sight but trusting our Lord makes it all possible doesn't it!!??
Hope you are feeling better today and everyday!

This is just perfect for using the faith die cut. Nothing screams the mightiness of God more than to stand in the presence of the ocean!! What a beautiful ocean scene that you have created too!!! Beautiful Chris!!!!

Oh, Chris, this is so beautiful, and I agree that this is one of my favorite ODBD stamps! You've really colored it to perfection, and I love the Scripture verse and the bold "faith" word die. You always have such a beautiful way with adding texture with the dies/borders and embossing! Stunning card and a precious devotional thought with your passage! Hugs!

Wonderful verses Chris its great to remember the power of our Heavenly Creator of this world and all therein,

John 1:3 "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
Love the verses of the Psalm, which you used. ..

Great layout too and of course you know love the stamp, made another one last week with real sand shells and stones but couldn't link it over to share. I think it is really so much more real with the additions.
