Hello, Friends!! I hope you are all well!! While September is quickly approaching, it appears the fall weather is not. It has been very sunny and beautiful but also very warm in the 90's with high humidity. While it is warm, I still enjoy the green grass and the annual flowers. Soon that will change.
Today I am sharing a card that includes an image that reminds me of summer- the ocean. Oceans are symbolic of the mighty power of God!! There is nothing more powerful or so vast as an ocean (to me symbolic of God's vast love when He died on the cross).
God’s love for you is deeper than the oceans and His presence is everywhere. Whenever you’re at the beach just thank God for His beautiful creation. If His hand has the power to create the seas than rest assured His hand will guide you and get you through trials in life.
Psalm 33:5-8 He loves righteousness and justice; the world is filled with the gracious love of the Lord. By the word of the Lord the heavens were made; all the heavenly bodies by the breath of his mouth. He gathered the oceans into a single place; he put the deep water into storehouses. Let all the world fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him;
It seemed perfect to match a verse about God's faithfulness. I made this as a sample for this week's Shining the Light -Anything Goes with scripture challenge.
I colored the Mighty Sea with copics. The sky on the top and in the background and panel was sponged with blue ink and a scalloped circle as a tablet. The embossed panel is stamped using the Provocraft x's and o's folder. The verse from Boho Faith was stamped and cut out with the Stitched Ovals die and then matted on an oval cut from an ODBD Ovals die
ODBD Stamps Used: The Mighty Sea, Boho Faith
ODBD Dies Used: Ovals, Stitched Ovals, Beautiful Borders, Faith Hope and Love
This is a pen that my hubby made which matches the card. You can go to our Etsy store to see it more closely by clicking on the picture. We have a variety of other pens and letter openers as well.

Hello, Friends!! I hope you are all doing well. Life has been super busy and unfortunately with my pain issues, it takes me longer to get things accomplished than it ordinarily did. God, however, is good and I am so thankful that I am at least able to get out once in a while which is so much different that last summer. I really have come a long way compared to when I first got hurt.
Today I wanted to share another card I made. There is a fun inspiration at the Shining the Light (ODBDSLC251) challenge that includes some beautiful colors and flowers. I had fun creating a card to share with you for it using flowers. I also used it for one of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges that my dear friend, Cheryl.
It was so much fun to create. I just love making flowers and adding texture! I used paper toling to add dimension to my flowers after I stamped them and colored them with copic markers. I then added some die cut leaves.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Boho Blessings, Fragrance
Dies: Ornate Hearts, Beautiful Borders, Mini Tags, Fancy Foliage, Doily, Birds and nest die
Anna Griffin Poppies embossing folder
blessings and hugs,

Hebrews 13:16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Is there something you can do today for someone else. It does not have to be someone in financial need and it need not cost money. Maybe give a hug or a visit to someone who is lonely, send a card to someone from your prayer list, assist someone around the home if they are unable to do so themselves. While Jesus was here, he thrived on helping others and sharing with those who were less fortunate. Can you add a smile to someone else's day?
Before I sign off, I wanted to share a few new additions to our Etsy store. We have been busy adding some more fun pen designs that we created. Soon Scott will add a carving he has done and I hope to add some seasonal woodcrafts. These are just a few of the pens I just love!! Their colors and designs are so fun and beautiful!!
This next pen is called the Lavender love faith hope pen. It has it engraved within the design on the band. The pen end has crosses on it. Lavender is one of my fave colors.
This is one of my fave blanks!! I just love all the shimmer and swirls of color. A very regal design!!
This pen is turned using a stabilized and dyed buckeye burl. I just love all the depth and character. The pen design is a replica of a civil war bullet.
Thanks for stopping by today and for your kind words!! They are greatly appreciated. Have a blessed day!!
blessings and hugs,

Hello, Friends!! I hope you all doing well!! It is nice to be back from vacation and to share another one of my creations with you today!! After enjoying the most beautiful creation of all, God's nature while camping, I decided my card would include nature.
I used the sketch from ODBDSLC250 Shining the Light challenge at ODBD that I created for the team and made a more masculine card using Boho Faith and Keep Climbing.

Before the Mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. Psalm 90:2
As I listen to the news and see all the turmoil and tragedy around us, I can't help but wonder what has happened to our world. Thankfully, throughout our troubled times, He is still in control even if we feel His Hand is no longer with us. I pray our world will soon wake up and see that they need Him.

Hello, Friends!! Today I am enjoying time at the lake and viewing the most beautiful art canvas of all: God's Nature. I just marvel at all the colors and textures! So peaceful and gorgeous!!
Today I am popping in to share a card for this week's Shining the Light color challenge at ODBD...a color challenge!!
For my creations, I used the Boho Blessings and Boho Paisley Background stamp set from this past weekend's release at well as the Stitched Ovals and ovals die. After stamping the butterfly in black Memento and coloring it with copics, I embossed the butterfly in Holographic Embossing powder, gold leafed the edges and cut it out with the Fancy Fritillary die. The Boho Paisley Background was also colored with copics and embossed with Holographic Embossing powder for added sparkle. After layering my butterfly on Stitched Ovals and the Ovals dies as well as adding a sentiment cut out with the Mini Tags die, a bow, a decorative border around all the edges using the Flourished Stars Pattern die, a piece of gold cardstock cut out using the Vintage Labels, and adding a Beautiful Border along the bottom, my card was complete.
Card Recipe:
ODBD Stamps: Boho Blessings, Boho Paisley Background
ODBD Dies: Fancy Fritillary, Beautiful Borders, Flourished Star Pattern, Stitched Ovals, Ovals, Vintage Labels, Mini Tags
We hope you can join us for the challenge. Here are the colors:
Entries for this challenge must be added to the linky here by August 9 at 8pm EST. While you can add creations using any stamps for one entry, we ask that you do not add any additional entries unless they use ODBD stamps.
Psalm 96: 11-12
11 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
12 let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy.
Each day brings new trials and joys!! Let us look at each new day with thankfulness and look to Him as it builds our character and faith in Him. This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Hello, Friends!! August is now upon us and the Bread Basket at ODBD is kicking off the month with another fun relief!! You will want to see all the inspiration from the team and have a chance to win!!
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards! You have until August 2, 2015, at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win! The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on August 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
Here is my first creation using Boho Paisley Background and the Boho Faith stamp sets as well as the Boho Background die, Stitched Ovals dies, Faith, Hope and Love dies, and Ovals die from this month's new release and the Birds and Nest dies, Fancy Foliage, and Butterfly and Bugs stampset and Butterfly and Bugs dies, and Mini Tags dies from prior releases.
I had a blast creating this card using the embossing resist technique for my background. I embossed the stamped background in holographic glitter and inked it up with almost Amethyst. I am unsure if you can see the sparkle or not in this photo, but boy does this card shimmer!! To create the open oval, I die cut an oval using the new ovals dies on the boho background die. The leaves, foliage, and butterflies were colored with copics. The sentiment is from the Boho Faith stamp set.
My second creation is created with the Boho Blessings stamp set, Boho Background die, Stitched Ovals dies, Ovals dies from the new release and the Fancy Fritillary, Fence die, Mini Tags and Grass Border previously released. The background behind the boho background is a cherry pink cardstock embossed with a Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder. The butterfly is in the Boho Blessings stamp set and it coordinates with the previously released Fancy Fritillary!! It cuts out the butterfly beautifully and coordinates with the decorative part of the die set as well making the perfect 3d butterfly!!
This is a sneak peek I created earlier this week. If you have not seen it, you can see the details here.
Here are the stamp sets and dies used on my creations from the new release:
