Hello, all!! I hope everyone is enjoying the summer. Boy is it ever fleeting quickly. On August 3, the teachers go back to work and a week later school begins. Where has the summer gone? One more week of summer bliss and we, the family, plan to make the most of it at the lake!! I can't wait!! After being tied down with my injury last summer, I am so thankful I am able to get out this summer. While I am not 100% and still have limitations, it is so much better than last summer, to God be the Glory!! I am so thankful!!!
Today I am popping in to share a sneak peek for the new upcoming release at ODBD on August 1. I have combined it with the Shining the Light Anything Goes challenge!
The sneak peak sets include ODBD Boho Faith and Boho Paisley Background (sneak peek) stamp sets that I embossed in white and holographic embossing powder and then use embossing resist with green galore, almost amethyst and bashful blue. I used the new Stitched Ovals and Ovals dies (sneak peek) to create a shaker card to frame the sentiment. The glittering and sparkling "Faith" is die cut with the sneak peek Faith, Hope, Love die. In addition to the sneak peek dies, I used the Layered Lacey Squares to frame the card, the Decorative Corners, Beautiful Borders, and the Vintage Labels (to coordinate with the oval image in Boho Faith). The outside border in front of the lacey border is created with the Flourished Star Pattern die.

Hello, Friends!! I hope all is well with you!! It has very hot and humid here. While it is so nice to see the sun out and it just cheers your day and outlook on life, it has been super hot here!! The humidity is so high that the windows are all steamed up. Please know I am not complaining although I do have to say having air conditioning in the house has been a real blessing.
Today I am popping in to share a style of card I usually don't do....shabby chic. It is difficult for me to splotch ink and distress. I tend to go for the elegant, clean and polished look. Shabby does not fit my personality well. That being said, I had a blast using the Shining the Light Inspiration at Our Daily Bread Designs to create this card!!

As I watch the news and hear all the turmoil in this world, I often wonder "can it get any worse?" I need to remind myself that God is in control no matter what and to keep looking up. It is not by my own strength that I make it through each day. We as Americans and a world are forgetting God and as a result we are falling apart. Here is my personal reminder....
Scripture verse of the day:
Ephesians 6:10-12
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Happy Tuesday Friends!! I hope you all had a great weekend and are enjoying the summer! I know I am!! It seems like it is flying by!! Three more weeks and school begins here. How sad!!
When I think of summer I think of my daylilies and flowers. With that in mind, I used the new Shining the Light challenge sketch to create a summer themed card using one of my fave color combos.
I just love flowers, especially day lilies and I so look forward to the new surprises that will open each day from our 99 different varieties!! As beautiful as they are, they don't last forever. What a comfort that God's promises and Word endure. It is not like the daylily that lasts for one day and then die, but it (God's Word and promises) is constant and the one thing we can depend upon. What a blessing!!

Hello, Friends!! I hope everyone had a blessed weekend and that for those of you living in the USA, you had a blessed Holiday weekend!!
It has been a while since posting since I have been away on a mission trip with my girls. We had a great time fellowshipping with fellow believers, sharing our faith with others and working for those in need. It was a very eye-opening experience for my dear daughters to see how others live and what it is like in poorer inner-city areas. While it was good to go away and have this experience, we are all glad to be home again. The many people we met, even their poverty, were happy. It reminds me of the verse:

I had so much fun playing with the new sets: Blossom and Fragrance!! For my first card, I used the Fragrance image and the sentiment from Blossom that I matted on the Vintage labels Dies. The image panel is framed with the Layered Lacey Squares die. The background of my card is created using the embossing resist technique on the Anna Griffin Poppy Embossing Folder.
My second creation uses the single rose bud from the Blossom stamp set and the sentiment from Fragrance matted or cut out with ODBD Elegant Ovals. The background is embossed with the Goosebumps lattice embossing folder.
