Happy Tuesday Friends!!  I hope everyone is nice and warm, especially in those areas that have become more like winter.  Boy did the temperature drop over the weekend!! I am so not ready for the cold...nor for all the preparations of Christmas!! With my injury this past spring and my recuperation, I am so behind!!  This is probably a great year to focus on the true meaning of Christmas and to put less on all the busyness we seem to put on ourselves.

Today I am popping in to share another Christmas card I made with the Our Daily Bread Designs His Birth, Cardinal Ornament, Sparkling Stars dies, Circle Ornament dies and Winter Collection 2014  as well as the Spellbinders Scalloped Circles and Labels 4 die.

I made this card incorporating the Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs which is to use four letters from the word "Blessings" for your recipe.  I was able to use all nine!!

B-Birds, Black, L-Layers, E-embossing, S-Stitching, S-Stars, I-ink, N-Noel, G-Gold, S-Silver, sparkle, sentiment

Our Daily Bread Designs, Cardinal Ornament, His Birth, Sparkling Star Dies, Circle Ornaments dies, designer-Chris Olsen

As I was creating this card, the Song Joy to the World:

Verse 1
Joy to the world! the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare him room,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.
Verse 2
Joy to the world! the Saviour reigns;
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
Verse 3
No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.
Verse 4
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.
What a joy and a gift that all nature should sing the glories of His birth!!!  God's gift of His Son and GRACE is the greatest gift ever!!  I pray that we all remember the true meaning of Christmas as we celebrate this season!

 I hope you have enjoyed my take on the inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you enjoy my creation!! For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters: Cheryl ScrivensDJ RantsDiana NyugenRobin ClendenningLinda Carson, and Elizabeth Whisson.

Oh, Chris, what a stunning card! I just love this cardinal ornament, and it is beautiful with the matting and "Noel" insert! Absolutely wonderful idea to use the "shiny" ODBD paper with the black accent for such a striking and dramatic feel to this card! Wow! It really shines, and what a great layout! I love it all, and I really love "Joy to the World" and will enjoy thinking about that carol today! Yes, there is nothing like life events to truly remind us of what is really important. And I know that Christmas will have even greater meaning this year for you all...and hopefully all of us! Hugs, sweet friend!
