Hello Friends!! I hope you are doing well!! I am in the middle of a very busy day and week but I thought I would pop in with a new card that I created with some new designer paper from ODBD!!! Yes!! ODBD has their own custom design paper that is gorgeous!! It is a 6x6 pack; all the individual sheets can be seen here !! Although the paper is called 2013 ODBD Christmas Paper Collection and it coordinates with quite a few of the ODBD sets, many can be used for all occasions!!!!
Here is a card I created with chipboard birds and the new gorgeous dp!!
I used the WT449 challenge hosted by Cathy on SCS for this card to use chipboard. I wanted to use this ODBD For Unto you Chalkboard, some chipboard and the gorgeous BRAND NEW ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013!!! (Oh I am so in love with this 6 x 6 paper! ) When I first saw the challenge, I thought chipboard....I don't have any. Surprise, Surprise I found a package of some awesome chipboard pieces...including these birds. I have things in my craft cupboards that I did not even know I had. LOL! I painted the birds with acryllic and metallic paints.
While I am not at all ready for Christmas, I just love Christmas and the joy that it brings!!
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger. (Luke 2:11-12)
This gift is not just an ordinary gift but a gift of salvation and hope for all who believe!!! We love all gadgets or gifts. We love seeing that delivery truck pull up in front of the house, and eagerly hop down the stairs to answer the door. When inside, the box is immediately ripped open and whatever was contained inside is put to quick use. Or...we all have visions of opening those gifts up at Christmas and expecting what we always wanted. What excitement!! The gift of Christ's birth is humble and lowly and not wrapped in pretty papers but it is a gift for all of us!!! Christ came into the world for us!! What a gift!!! This should be more exciting than any tangible or earthly gift!!!
Supplies used from Our Daily Bread Designs:
CARD RECIPE
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- For Unto You
Paper: River Rock, Black, 2013 ODBD Christmas Paper Collection
Ink: Black Memento
Accessories: chipboard from my stash, wrinkled ribbon, burlap, acrylic and metallic paints
I am entering this into the Word Art Wednesday challenge which is Anything Goes. Word art Wednesday shares free inspirational scripture and sentiments each week!!

Chris, without a doubt the nicest Christmas card I have ever seen. Our Canadian Thanksgiving has past, but we are so blessed and thankful to see this beautiful work of art, as well as all your past posts.
