Happy Hump Day Friends!! It has been a while since I posted on Wednesday and could say that.  I hope all is well for you all!!  Today it looks like the sun is trying to peek out and the rain has ceased...at least for now.

Today I would like to share a card I made for a Splitcoast Stampers Challenge this week.  The challenge was to use markers in a way other than coloring.  I used the Misting with Markers technique on my background ( it misted or got wetter than I would have liked but it created a fun background) and water coloring with markers for my image. I wanted to make a masculine thinking of you card for a friend, recently diagnosed with Cancer of the Liver. I hope it in some way encourages him.

Card Recipe:
Paper: SU Soft Suede, Neenah White, Watercolor paper Baja Breeze
Dies: Spellbinders: Labels 17 Labels 13, Labels 22, Labels 18,
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Keep Climbing as well as Vine Background

Thanks for stopping by!! I treasure all my viewers/blogging friends and their comments.

Have a blessed Day!!!

Such a beautiful card for your friend Chris.

I haven't tried the misting technique in years. Way back in the days when Marvy Markers were the big thing. Your's came out beautifully.

I said a prayer for your friend as I read your post.

Hi Chris~

This is a wonderful card...and I am certain it will put a smile on the face and heart of your friend. And, I think the background came out beautifully! I love the eagle. I am curiuos about the paper...did you emboss (Sorry, my eyes can't make it out clearly...) the ferns or flourishes on the paper. How would you do that...with a stamp? Could it be done without one? Just figured you would be the one to know!

Your friend is fortunate to have someone like you in his life.

You are a perfect example of the Proverbs 17:17: "A friend loveth at all times." I know this from personal experience...and from the things you write and do in your blog.
