Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs August Release Blog Hop!!  If you got here from Angie's Blog , you are in the right place!!  If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog so you know all the details about today's hop and the prizes that are available!!!!! Kelley, has another exceptional release with lots of great stamps and some new dies too!!!  The team, I know, has lots of inspiration for you, using these stamps.  So why don't you grab your favorite beverage and enjoy what they have in store.

This month's hop will run from 8 a.m. EDT on August 1 until 8 p.m. EDT on August 2.  The winners will be announced August 3 at 8 a.m.!  There will be SIX PRIZES for six individuals for a choice of  their favorite stamp set from the release!!

All you have to do for a change to win is:
  • Visit each of the stops on the hop and leave a little love!!
  • Visit the ODBD blog at the end of the hop and tell us you completed the hop!!
EASY PEASY, Right?

So now.... on to my card:

I just love these bookmarks and dies and could not wait to play with them and make a pocket card!!  For my creation I used the Bookmark Trees and Bookmark Verses and Bookmarks Prayers (sentiment stamped on the inside of the card. The bookmarks were cut out with the new Bookmark Dies released today exclusively at Our Daily Bread Designs. The designer paper is Retired Walk in the Park Dp from Stampin Up. The ribbon is May Arts Satin ribbon.  The image on the front of the card is framed with the Petite Ovals from Spellbinders, the Floral Doily Accents (border which was cut apart and pieced), and the Ironwork Accents.  The butterfly is Cheery Lynn Small Exotic Butterfly dies cut out of Baja Breeze dp with some added sparkle.

On the front of the card I took one of the images from Bookmark Trees stamp set and stamped it twice.  I cut out the bottom of the oval on one of my stamped images, flipped it over and traced the outline onto the top of my image to create the oval shape. The dp framing around the image is sewn.

The inside of my card uses the Labels 18 dies from Spellbinders and the Floral Doily Accents.

Here are the new releases I used for my first creation:

My second creation is one I shared for a sneak peek yesterday:

This creation uses Bookmarks Eagles and Bookmarks Verses from  Our Daily Bread Designs.  While the Bookmarks Eagles is a bookmark shape, I masked my image and stamped leaves around the rectangle and isolated the bird. The verse is frame with Romantic and Classic Rectangles from Spellbinders.  The background is embossed with a Birds and flowers folder from Cuttlebug.  The leaves are punched with a Martha Stewart Leaf and Twig punch as well as the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish.

Here are the stamp sets used for this creation:

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you are somehow inspired by my creations!! For more inspiration, the next stop on the hop is the exceptionally talented Sandee.

Have a blessed Day!!!

hugs and blessings,

Chris, I love it all! I love that you used the images not as bookmarks (although I love the book marks); I love your double pocket card with two bookmarks; I love the matching dies; at the risk of making an impulse purchase, I may not even finish the blog hop before putting my order in! Nah, I can wait a little bit.... :)

Both of your cards are beautiful Chris, I was admiring your second one last night, but didn't have enough time to comment.

I was also really disappointed that the new releases were bookmarks, but you and the other girls have shown me that I definitely do want them.

Now I am wanting to use them to make cards with a little gift of a bookmark/tag for people in our nursing home. What a lovely gift that would be for residents who don't get visitors!
