Happy Saturday Everyone!! I am back from spending quality time with my parents and brother and sisters families. We had a great time but it is great to be home again and see Scott. The girls and I really missed him while we are away.
Anywho...it is time for the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge.
This week's challenge:
This week the team would like you to use a ribbon and charm and one other embellishment- but no flower embellishments unless it is your charm.
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, August 5. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.
If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC23. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.
Now on to my take on the challenge:
For my creation, I decided to use Happy Fall a sneak peak from Our Daily Bread Designs to be released tomorrow!!!!!!
I used the Bag it up template from Leigh Ann Baird. These stamps were perfect for filling this box up with chocolate covered sunflower seeds. The girls were so jealous to see me making this as a gift for someone else. They so love these. I may have to make one for each of them as well.
For more inspiration, please visit the challenge team:
Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!! Have a great weekend!! I hope to see you tomorrow for the Our Daily Bread Designs New Release blog hop!! We have some really fun and gorgeous sets to show you!!
Blessings,

Happy Thursday Everyone!! I hope you are all doing well.
Today I have a short post to share with you. I just love this sweet dog and had to create a combo masculine/feminine card with it. It is mostly masculine with the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers paper with just a touch of femininity with the lace to brighten it up. This creation uses the fun Whimsy dog and sign image and Ruff Day sentiments. What do you think?
challenges:
The pink elephant~ brown
Paper romance~ brown, teal and white
Mami doodles~ anything goes
Creative Inspirations~ Anything goes
The creative cottage~ touchy feely, lots of layers and textures (stitching, embossing, Lace)
Practical Scrappers~ 7 or more items (lace, 2 different dp's, 3 colors of cardstock, lace, gold cording)
Hand Full of stamps~punch the stress out
Daring Card Makers~ layer it up
Stamp with Fun~ Card for a man or boy ( I think this would work for either gender)
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have enjoyed my creation.

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day Everyone!! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your week!! I am having some quality family time in upstate New York with my parents, brother and his family and my sister and her kids from Boston!! It is so exciting to be together since as our kids get older, it is getting tougher and tougher to synchronize our schedules and meet.
Any who...Today I wanted to share an easel card I created using one of the Your Next Stamp images, Rainy Day Fiona. I just had to paper piece this.
The polka dotted dp is actually material dp that I received my dear friend Crystal in a RAK she sent me. I just love the color and how fun it was to work with. The other dp is Basic Grey Eva. The clouds in the background are from the Flying High Fiona stamp set.
I have had a few emails asking me to post a tutorial on how to make a circle easel card so I hope to do this next week.
Challenges:
Your Next Stamp: Easel Card
Meljen's Designs: Easel Card
Creative Inspirations: Anything goesPapertake weekly: Cutie Patootie

Stamp Simply: Two something- two button brads

Happy Monday Everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend. We sure did. Nicki did a beautiful job playing the piano in church for the prelude and postlude duet. I was more nervous than she was!! She looked like such a natural playing up there at age 11. I am so proud of her!!
Anywho... Today we have another great Stamp and Create Product Spotlight for you this week.
But before we get to that, just a reminder that Lacey will be on vacation until July 31st. Her husband is attempting to get stamp orders out, but since he's new at it, so not all orders will probably go out until after I return on Aug 2nd. As an added bonus, however, all orders received from Friday, July 23rd-Aug 1st will be entered into a special drawing for a $25.00 gift certificate (this is separate from the regular July Customer Rewards drawing - so if you order during this time, you will actually be entered into both drawings)!!
This week's Product Spotlight is: Sweet November Stamps!! Amy Young has illustrated the most adorable mermaids and pixies!!
All Sweet November stamps will be on sale for 25% off through Sunday, August 1st.
I used the Image Pearl Tidepool and Seamoor for her circle easel card. I also used the sentiment from Popcorn Bears Thanks A Bunch, Fancy Tags Nestabilities, Big Scalloped Ovals and blossoms nestabilities on my card all available at Stamp and Create. The dp is one of my faves from SU called Parisian Breeze.

OSSAT: Black and white and one other color

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!! It is real hot here but we are enjoying it all the same. Today my dear daughter, Nicki, plays a duet in church with her piano teacher. I am happy, excited and nervous for her all at the same time. She also invited her grandparents (my husbands parents) and her aunt and uncle to come listen as well. Then we are going to have a family cookout. It should be a fun filled day!!
Well anywho...Today is Sunday and time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge. This week's challenge is the dear sweet and talented Peggysue. Peggysue has chosen the verse:
Luke 8:16 "No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light."
I hope that in all I do that I let my light shine and that others will know that I have been redeemed!! What joy this brings to know that I have Jesus right beside me in all I do in both the good times and the bad and that no matter what the outcome I will have eternal life and be with Him some day because He died for me!! What joy, what grace...There is no greater Joy that I would want to share. This is a joy I want to pass on to my children and for all those I love or come in contact with! This salvation is not a secret but something all should shout from the rooftops with.
Peggysue's challenge this week is:
Make a votive holder or a card/project depicting a candle. Here are two examples of what you can make: Votive Cover and tag votive holder. For my creation, I did not do either. I created a luminaria using Beate's tutorial on Splitcoast. It was easy and fun.
For my image I used Wedding Fiona from Your Next Stamp. I added lots of glitter to her veil, baubles to the top, and pearls to Fiona's dress.
The candle inside is battery operated (Much safer!!) This luminaria is part of a set to accompany this card.
challenges:
OSSAT: Black and white and one other color
Creative Craft challenge: Wedding
Creative Inspirations: Anything goes
Papertake weekly: Cutie Patootie
Crafty Creations: Happy or Sweet
Secret Crafter: Fairytales- Cinderella
Charisma cardz: Anything but Square- luminaria
Fussy And Fancy: Stitches Scallops and sparkle
Stamp Simply: Two something- two stamped images
Crafty Calendar: Summer (since most weddings happen in the summer, I thought this would fit well)
Stampavie: Anything goes
I hope you enjoyed my creations today. For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit:

Happy Friday Everyone!! Sorry for my lack of posts this week. Life has been crazy!
Any who I am back with a post for the Wags n Whiskers challenge for this week. The challenge today is hosted by the sweet and uber talented Melanie. Melanie's challenge is called:
Melanie is asking for you to use either real or fake stitches somewhere on your card or paper project.
Here is my take on the challenge:
I used the Sweet Danni and Bella image illustrated by Crissy Armstrong for Wags n Whiskers. This image is sold as both a digi and a rubber stamp. The layout uses the Midnight Madness Sketch for this week. This card is very shimmery with the glittery paper in person...you probably see it better if you click on the photo.
I purposely used a Christmas image to make a Christmas card to enter in the Sunday's with Crissy challenge this week.

My first creation is one I made for Our Daily Bread Designs using this months new release Our Daily Bread designs release "Bless This Home"and an older set called Path of Life. The two sets coordinate so well together!!
card 1
The card is 5 x 7. The image is stamped with Memento and colored with Copics and Prisma color pencils. The sky is sponged using a scalloped oval Baja Breeze ink and a large sponge. Ultra Fine - Raspberry and Shamrock Flowersoft is used throughout for the the flowers and moss to give more detail and dimension. I used my new CB Brocade Window Embossing Plus Plate on Bitter Chocolate Bazzill CS to frame it as well as a MS fence border punch.
To finish off the card I added silver baubles, stitching and green grosgrain ribbon.
YOUR NEXT STAMP
My next creations are made using Your next stamp sets.
Your Next Stamp is having a DT call right now looking for some new designers. When I saw this call I couldn't wait to give it a shot. I LOVE these images and the current team.
I wanted to share a few creations I made using these ADORABLE images.
My first card is using the Wedding Fhiona image. I used a variety of spellbinders and cuttlebug folders to frame the image. If you click on the photo you can see the ribbon frame I created with the Lotus borders Spellbinders die.
card 2:
Practical Scrappers- One year stash (cupcake box 5- Baja breeze ribbon)

My next creation I made for the Your Next stamp challenge, flowers. I created a set using Flower Bouquet Fiona and cosmo cricket dp (Earth Love). The card uses the Friday Sketchers Sketch for this week. The box is a Bag it Up template created by Leigh Ann Baird which can be found here.
set 3:
My next set I divided into two different pictures so you could have a closer look at each. I wanted to create a card with a scene but did not have any background scenes to match so I used scissors, punches and dp to create my own. The images are Flying High Foina and Ellie With Pressies
The fence I cut out posts and used the Distressed stamps embossing folder to make it look like wood. The flowers use the fern punch from MS and buttons. I have a grass scissor...what a time saver!!
card 4
The box holds a cupcake and matches the card. The dp is from Earth Love (Cosmo Cricket). The Hey cupcake template is one which is again created by Leigh Ann Baird and can be found here.

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Today I have two cards to share with you.
The first is for the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge. This week's challenge host is my dear friend Grace.
Grace chose the verse: Psalm 127:1a "Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it".
Have you ever thought I can do this on my own. I don't need anyone's help or guidance. Well we all need His direction in our lives. We need to pray each day that He will guide us down the right paths so we do not stray from His leading. God has a plan for each one of us. Not seeking His guidance is laboring in vain. Life is so much easier (although not easy by any means) with God's guidance.
Grace challenged the team and any of the challenge participants to:
Use an image of something that is "built" using a set of plans ... a house, church, school, automobiles, even a bird house...anything that would be built according to a set of plans.
I decided to use one of my many neglected Stampin Up stamps, Winds of Grace, and make a masculine thinking of you card with a summery feel for a guy who recently lost his father. Most all the materials on this card are Stampin up other than the brown thread and silver baubles.
For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit:
Grace, Linda, Lisa, Peggysue, Randi, Meisje, Rebecca, and Cindy
For the full devotional and challenge details please visit the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge

Now on to my take on the challenge:
Since so many challenges are focusing on Christmas in July including the Stamping in Time Challenge at ODBD, I thought I would get a head start creating a calendar for my Mom and Dad for Christmas. I used the Sing for Joy stamp set and the verse from Christmas Verses at Our Daily Bread Designs.
My dear blogging friend Dawn has been sharing her wonderful calendar pages on her blog for some time. I so loved this idea as a Christmas gift that I had my dear husband create me a calendar holder as well. I then printed off the calendar templates created by Cat at SCS here. It has all the months for 2010. I hope soon that I can find a template for a 2011 calendar so I can continue my calendar pages.

Happy Thursday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great week. Mine is going well....just super busy!! Boy is time flying!!
Anywho...today is the Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge! Lori sent the team this photo to be inspired by:I was inspired by the pink flowers in the center of the wrapping paper. Since I have several friends that have lost a parent, I need to be sending out Sympathy cards. I thought the flower in Close to my Heart from SU were very similar to the flowers on the gift wrap. The frame I created around my window was cased from the ever so talented Yvonne here. My very dear friend, Grace just blessed me with the Lotus borders set in some Happy Mail!! Thanks Grace!!!
The sentiments are from Our Daily Bread Designs- Thinking of You and With Deepest Sympathy.
There is lots of embossing inside and out but the outside has lots of dies that cover it so it is hard to see in person. The layout uses the Pixie Cottage layout from last week.
card recipe:stamps: Daily Bread Designs Thinking of You and With Deepest Sympathy, SU- Close to my heart
