Happy Sunday Everyone!!  This is going to be a very short post today since I am posting at the last minute before running out the door for our weekend excursion.  Prayerfully we have a good trip and my coughing will stop...

This week's challenge is hosted by the dear and sweet Lisa!!

 Lisa chose the verse:

Philippians 4: 13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

The challenge is:
Make a card/project of encouragement or congratulations.

I decided to make a card for my dear friend Mark who just lost his wife to cancer.  I have sent him other cards as well but I know how difficult life without Ruby is so I plan to send him encouraging words every now and again to let him know we are praying for him and that our thoughts are with him.  If anyone needs strength it is those who lost loved ones.  Only the comfort and strength that God gives can comfort you from day to day...that and knowing Ruby is in Heaven dancing and singing and in her Father's arms.

For my card I used the On Eagles Wings set from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The paper is from Basic Grey. Since it is a masculine card it has less detail than my normal cards....masculine cards are not my strength I am afraid...

I have two pictures here since I struggled taking umpteen pictures and none seemed to look right with the lighting...it is night and the colors just won't cooperate...doesn't help that I am coughing and my hands are unsteady...Sorry for the awful photo...

Hi Chris,
Beautiful design papers and layout but this is not about the card really - it is about care and encouragement and Christian love at a time like this. What a Saviour we have.

Dear Chris~

I love your thoughtful heart. Many send Sympathy cards once...but what a blessing to continue to receive cards reminding him that you are still lifting them up in prayer!

I really like this card! I LOVE the colors. I am curious what colors they are, in fact? You shine with lace and pearls, but you make wonderful cards for men...maybe you don't realize it. This is great with the paper and the "buttons" (?), and what looks like lacing a strip on the left side. You can't go wrong using a Scripture, right?

I will pray for your safe return home.
