Happy Tuesday Everyone!! Have you ever felt you were in a rut and just keep creating cards or paper projects. I do...last week I posted mostly all projects with the exception of 2 cards...Well today I challenged myself to creating with material for home decorating.
Using the stamps from Randi's song at Our Daily Bread Designs, I created coasters to match a table runner I created. I just loved the material at Jo Ann Fabrics and had to create with it. Here are my creations.
Here is a picture of the runner. The colors in this photo do not do it justice. It looks more like the top photo than the dull color here but it gives you an idea....
The leaves were embossed with gold Ranger embossing powder on tie dyed looking green fabric and then cut out. A button was sewn on in the middle to fasten the leaf to the coaster. All the edges were sewn with gold thread. The material used for the coaster background is quilted and pretty thick.
Today was my day to do the Time With post at Our Daily Bread designs. I created or altered another item for my home and have step by step directions on how I created. Here is a sneak peak of what I altered at the ODBD blog here.
Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!! I so appreciate you!!

Oh my goodness...this is amazing. I LOVE it Chris. I didn't know you liked to sew.. It is really my first passion.. If I read this right you embossed right on the fabric??? I have never seen that before.. It is awesome.. Such a great project. Way to go girl.. Stamp for fun one of these days.. :)))

How beautiful Chris. What don't you do? LOL Thank you so much for your well wishes for my grandmother too. It means alot to me.
Wow! Simply gorgeous. I love quilting, but go with paper because I feel like I get so much more accomplished in a short amount of time. You are sooo creative. Will the embossing hold up in the wash?
Chris this is gorgeous! You will have such a beautiful table setting this year. Off to check out your tutorial now!
Wow!!! GORGEOUS!!! You are so crafty!
WOW WOW WOW GORGEOUS Work Chris, this is one AMAZING project!!!!! I LOVE LOVE these colors, you truly made a masterpiece here GF!!!! Big Hugs!!!!
How beautiful! Wow Chis, you are so talented!
Hi Chris!
Your lamp and your runner are absolutely amazing! Are they upcoming blog candy, by any chance? LOL I love the colors in the runner. I have never seen one like that. It is fabulous! And, your lamp is amazing! I love lamps like that. You velcroed the string of beads on to the lamp? Is that what you said>? You could easily string bright colors to match your runner if you wanted to keep the two pieces in the same room...and when the season is over...go back to that gorgeous sample you showed us! I am stunned by the beauty of both pieces, and also by your phenomenal talent!
Thank you so much for sharing!

Chris this was such a totally gorgeous project! LOVE the fabric you found for the runner! It in itself is gorgeous, but add your stamped coasters and you have a beautiful table setting.... then add the "other" project and well, I'm out of words! Fabo project my friend!!!!
