Happy Monday Everyone!!  Today marks the anniversary for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge!!  Woo hoo!!  We hope it has been a blessing and a sense of inspiration for many.  In celebration, all present and past members will be hosting a hop!

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5,6

The hop begins at the Stampin Sisters in Christ Blog.  If you have not begun there, you may want to click the link above.  If you came here from Pamela's blog, you are in the right place.  There are prizes and inspiration along the way (even a $50 gift certificate at the SSCC blog!!), so grab your fave beverage and enjoy the hop.

The verse posted above is one that has real meaning and significance for me.  It has always been a real comfort to me to know that it is God who directs my life and it is not of my own strength.  It is those dark times that God show His light and that we learn to depend more on Him.  When my mother in law's cancer returned, it was a real struggle for the family.  It was her faith and this verse which brought both her and us comfort.  We did not understand why ...this verse asks us not to ask but rather trust and leave it all too Him.  Are you relying on Him or are you relying on your own strength for your financial difficulties, emotional baggage, physical health or any situation.  You can not handle it on your own strength but you can on His.

The card above uses the Scripture  2 Collection and Don't Worry Stamp sets from Our Daily Bread designs.  The design paper is Capella paper from Basic Grey.  The verse is frame using the Fleur De Lis Frame and the Lotus Borders die (which I laced ribbon through.).

Thanks for stopping by today and for your comments.  The next stop on the hop is sweet  Helen who will be sharing her favorite verse and some more inspiration

blessings,

God is speaking to me as i "hop" along. i've desperately needed to find comfort and peace. it's not been an easy time and even though things are starting to even out, the physical stress and emotional stress has taken its toll on my spirit and body.

So beautiful: both the card and your message. The color contrast is fitting for the scripture and your message. . .we are to trust Him no matter how dark it looks, because only He is omniscient and He has promised that for those who are trusting in Christ, all things are working together for good (not that the things are good!) but God is good!

Chrissy D said...

Ohhh soooo pretty! THESE along with Hebrews 12:11 are my life verses!!! The way you created with the ribbon is absolutely stunning!

Dear Chris~

I hope that your migraines have passed. If not, please go back and take a look at the fabulous wall art...and more importantly the Scriptures she shared. I'm sure you will feel better in no time. (I am couting on it for myself, as well.)

Your card is so beautiful! Elegant! I love how you have used the chicory flowers around the verse. The pearls and the way you used that ribbon just add to the lovely elegance!

I love this verse. It is a challenge for me...a real challenge...but I have faith that it is true. His ways are the best ways. I know that. Thank you for this beautiful reminder!

Remember~
He IS Able,
Traci S.
