Happy Saturday Everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend!!
Today I have a project to share with you that I made for my dear daughter. I incorporated this week's Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge.
This week's challenge at ODBD is:
This week the team would like you to use three of something. It can be three designer papers, 3 stamps, 3 buttons, 3 ribbons, 3 embossing folders, 3 layers.....
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, August 11. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by August 11 at 8 p.m. EST.If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC24. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge. The link to the ODBD challenge is here
Now on to my creation:
My daughter has had a real difficult time lately with all the deaths we have experienced this year. It is hard for an adult to understand or cope with let alone an 11 year old child. Many nights she cries herself to sleep thinking that she is going to lose her family (recently one of our friends children died in their sleep at the age of 16, the cause is still unknown.) It has been traumatic for her.
I made this little book to encourage her. I was hoping if she tried to memorize some verses it would comfort her.
This book uses the Don't Worry set from Our Daily Bread Designs released on August 1 and several scripture sets: Scripture set 1, Scripture set 2, Scripture set 3, Scripture set 4. The shape uses the labels 10 die from Spellbidners. The images are colored with copics. Each page is stitched with silver thread. The silk ribbon is one of my faves from May Arts.
Challenges:
Paper Sundaes~Stitching
Alphabet Challenge~ Nature
Dutch Dare Card Challenges~ anything goes
Penny's challenges~anything goes
Cute Card Thursday- Whatevah
Flutter by Wednesday~ Create a new creation using a butterfly, fairy or angel AND your favorite color!! My daughters fave color is purple or lavender. This is one of my many faves.

Hi Chris,
This is a beautiful booklet. I love the imgae and the colours. These are very comforting and encouraging verses. Aren't we blessed to have such a Lord to turn to.
I hope this helps your daughter to settle.
Hugs,
Fiona x
This is so beautiful and such a sweet idea for helping your daughter through this rough patch. I remember going through that as a child. It's tough. The colors are just gorgeous and I love the flower image. Thanks for sharing this amazing creation!
Just lovely, Chris, wonderful idea, beautiful serene shades and comforting verses!
This is absolutely stunning! Thanks for playing along with us at Penny's. Good Luck!

Chris, these prayer tags are absolutely gorgeous!!! Love the soft colors and the encouraging word of the LORD!
Love your signature too. Where did you get it?
Have a great weekend!
This little book is beautiful and I love lavender. I love your idea an I think you daughter will appreciate your loving care.
I will be praying for her
First, let me say I've missed you! I don't know what happened, but you weren't in my followed blogs any more. :o( I have since remedied that!
Second, I'm so sorry to hear that your DD is having such a rough time. I know from experience that it's not an easy thing to deal with, especially at her age. You're such a good mama to make something so sweet and encouraging for her.
Many Hugs,
Lelia
these are lovely...with beautiful verses too...thanks for joining us at Paper Sundaes.

Oh, Chris, I'm so sorry to hear that you DD is having a rough time. I'll bet this beautiful little book, will help. I am keeping an eye on my 15 y/o, as you may have read my post about losing Sarah, (sorry I have forgotten each individual who gave prayers & encouragement). Her high school also lost a 16 y/o boy to suicide this year. It's just not right for young ones to have to face death so soon.
Oh Chris, my heart just goes out to her. It's bigger than a girl can understand without Jesus to comfort. What a fabulous project for her, beautiful and meaningful. I've been really trying to speak Scripture over our middle son who gets very anxious about things too. It makes all the difference in the world!
This is so pretty, just beautiful! Thank you for playing along with my flutter by challenge! It always makes me smile to see your name in the links!
Chris this is stunning, I just love how you created this, yes I am going to copy this one :) these will make a great gift..:)..
This is so wonderful Chris.
Hugs Riet.xx

Your encouraging booklet is absolutely gorgeous and I bet she loved it!!! The colors are so perfect and feminine...I love it too!!! Hugs ~S~
This is just beautiful, Chris, and such a lovely way to help your daughter cope with the death of her friend. This is a lovely set of verses and I hope your daughter will be comforted by them. Big hugs to you and your daughter, Angela

Chris, this is beautiful and so delicate! Thanks for fluttering with us this week at Flutter By Wednesday!
This is beautiful and such a gift from the heart! The soft lavender colors, lovely bow and verses are all so wonderful!
What a wonderful mum you are Chris to make such a beautiful book for your daughter. I know that it can be so difficult and very worrying for young people who have lost loved ones. I am sure this will be a big help to her.
Hugs

What a gorgeous project Chris, I hope it brought your daughter some comfort. Thanks so much for joining us for this week's FBW. :)
WOW! This is just amazing, Chris! Beautiful detailing, colors, coloring, and design! Wonderfully done!
WOW soooo beautiful Chris, how in the world did I miss this post???..WOW LOVE this idea and the colors are fabulous!
Chris, this is beautiful! I don't know how I missed seeing it earlier when you posted it. I was actually on ODBD putting together an order when one of the pics here showed up as an example of the Don't Worry set. I had to jump over here to find it so I could read more about it. I have verses written on index cards laying around the house for a quick encouragement. This looks like a great idea to put them together in an eye-catching way using the stamps and computer font for the verses that haven't been made into stamps yet : ) Thanks for sharing this, I hope it does bring her comfort now and always!
