Happy Sunday All!! Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs November Release Blog Hop!!!! If you came here from Angie Z's Blog, you are in the right place!! If you happened on my blog but did not start at the ODBD Blog you really should go there and and begin the hop. The reason is that there are secret words hidden along the hop which you need to collect along with the name of each designer. Upon the completion of the hop you will return to the ODBD blog and leave a comment that you have visited all the blogs. A special email address will be given to you so you can email the secret words and designer found in the correct order. That's all you have to do for the chance to win the ENTIRE NEW RELEASE. That is three great sets that will help you with all your card making needs just in time for Christmas!!!!!!!
Now.... on to my project for today!!! I made this card and ornament using the New Release Blessed Christmas stamp set. Our Design Team Challenge this month was to make a Holiday Card or project and make it shimmer. Unfortunately shimmer does not photograph very well especially on dark cloudy days, but let me tell you these projects shimmer!!!! ODBD owner, Kelley sent each dt member some very shimmery and yummy paper from SEI and one bottle of Tattered Angels Glimmermist. All the dt members cards will shimmer all over the place!!!
I stamped my sentiment in Gold Encore ink and heat embossed it with jeweled gold embossing powder. The poinsettia was stamped twice in gold Encore ink and heat embossed with Copper embossing powder, one was cut out and popped up on dimensionals. The poinsettia flowers were painted with Pearl Glimmermist very heavily. The leaves were lightly painted with Bronze Glimmermist for some antique color and lots of shimmer.

Paper: SEI Moravia Paper, Bazzill Bitter Chocolate and Very Vanilla (SU), Gold Glitter Paper
Accessories: Oval Spellbinders, EK Success Moraccan Lace Punch, pearls, gold baubles, ric rac, Satin Ribbon, Tattered Angels Glimmermist- Bronze and Pearl
The ornament is created using the Blessed Christmas stamp set as well. It is heat embossed in Ranger copper embossing powder and then painted with Pearl Glimmermist (several layers). The leaves are colored with olive ink from the ODBD store. The flower is popped on dimensionals. The image is framed with Floural Accent Spellbinders die cut from Prism Copper Metalic Paper. There is a tutorial for creating a similar ornament here on Yvonne's blog.
