Woo hoo! Today is Tuesday and it is the kick off of Midnight Madness' First Sketch Challenge!!! This is going to be so much fun! Priscilla invited me to be on her DT and I graciously accepted to be a part of this delightfully talented group of Ladies! I can never turn down challenges, especially a sketch challenge and what better than to share my love for stamping with a group of crafters for mere joy and the love of crafting! I hope you too can play along and join the fun!!! In honor of the kick off, Priscilla is donating a $100 Free Shopping Spree of Stampin Up products of your choice. If the sketch and the joy of crafting doesn't inspire you.....how about that awesome prize!!!!!

Here is what you will need to know:

1. Anyone can play the weekly Tuesday, Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

2. Anything goes!!....Stamped, Digital, Collage, Vintage Prints, hand drawn, Mixed Multi Media, scrap it, 3-D it, you name it!! I am sure it will be wonderful!! I know you will be proud of your creation and eager to link it to Mr. Linky here. Any form of style/brand is accepted since we do not endorse any one product line.

3. Make it your Own and feel free to take artistic liberties with the sketch provided, as long as you can still tell it was based upon the sketch. ie: rotate the sketch, add embellishments, change the shape of and individual piece, create a square card from a rectangle sketch, etc.

4. To be entered in the $100 SHOPPING SPREE drawing, a minimum of one (1) card/project submission is required, but more than one project is welcome. (3 max per week)

5. To be entered in this drawing, you will have one week for each sketch. Enter your direct link to Mr. Linky here and post a comment. Please feel free to continue to post your projects to Mr. Linky for any of our challenges, but only entries posted during the time frame will be entered in the drawing. Enter one week, or all three!!!

6. When uploading to SCS, please remember to use the keyword MMSC1 for this challenge.

7. Entry submission will close on June 2nd and via video, names will be combined and one of Priscilla'a children will draw the luchy winner from a hat. Priscilla will post the video showing who the lucky winner is on June 3rd. You could potentially have 9 entries (3 per week) for the $100 SHOPPING SPREE.

8. The shopping spree will be going for 3 weeks, enter one or the total of 3 for each wek and then at the end of the three week period based on your number of entries the winner will be drawn on June 2nd.

9. Last but not least.....have FUN!

Priscilla's kids are already excited and her daughter asked if she could wear her party dress the day of the drawing. Oh what fun!! She may even blast the music and do a happy dance for the Midnight Madness Winner!

SPECIAL NOTE: If you are a follower of Priscilla's blog and the Midnight Madness Logo is displayed on your blog and or a link back to her site from you SCS card post, then an additional $25 shopping spree will apply. That's $125 FREE Stampin Up SHOPPING SPREE for the WINNER! So say up late or get up early.....come play with us!

and NOW for the SKETCH

This is the card I created for today's challenge. I used the SU Bloomin Beautiful Stampset! I played with my sewing machine and created a border with the fun scalloped stitch! I used one of my favorite papers from SU Bella Birds. My flower was stamped faintly twice in the backround in pretty in pink and Old Olive, dry embossed with the swiss dots folder and then another flower that was colored and dimensionalized was layered with dimensionals over top. My pink corners are dry embossed with the cuttlebug textile folder and cut by hand using my fiskar's cutter (no punch). The brass spiral was another one of my ornament holders that I bought at Target on Christmas clearance.

Card Recipe
Stamps: SU Bloomin Beautiful

Paper: Bitter Chocolate, Pink Pirouette, and Bella Birds DP

Accessories: Brass spiral, Cuttlebug swiss dots and textile embossing folder, Sizzix Argyle embossing folder, sewing machine, pink and chocolate Grossgrain Ribbon (Offray), pearls, dimensionals

I hope this card has inspired you. If not or if you would like more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters:

P.S. THURSDAY is the last day (until 10 p.m.) for adding your entree for the Inspirational Challenge Blog Prize. You can find the details here. It really is an easy inspiration. Perhaps you can combine this sketch using the photo for your inspiration of colors and images.

Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog today. I truly appreciate all your comments. When you read this blog entry I will still be away camping. Please leave a comment to let me know you were here so I can in turn visit your blog upon my return. Have a great day!!
