I can't believe Tuesday is already here and almost over. This is a very busy week for me as I try to accomplish tasks before deadlines and prepare for a mini vacation with the family on Friday. Today is my hubby's birthday and I won't even be home this evening to celebrate with him. Poor Scott! Although preparing for upcoming camping trip for five days is so much work, especially when it is our first trip for the season, I am so looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather cooperates. I love when my husband does all the cooking, the fires at night, and just the tranquility of it all.
Anywho...I have two cards to share with you today. The first is using one of Our Daily Bread Designs- New Releases In God We Trust and God Bless America for Splitcoast Stamper's SC226. I used my favorite SU Specialty paper-Parisian Breeze. Oh, did you know that SU is having a special on designer paper in the month of May that if you buy three you get one free and that includes the specialty paper and textured CS as well (No, I am not advertising, just sharing because I am not a demonstrator. I support my sister's income with my purchases. Tee hee!)
Card Recipe 1
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs- In God We Trust and God Bless America
Paper: Parisian Breeze, Bitter Chocolate CS, White CS, Watercolor Paper
Accessories: Stampin Up Markers for watercoloring, nestabilities, EK Success Punch, Soft Sky Stitched Grossgrain Ribbon, Cuttlebug Vintage corner die, Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Folder, Hero Arts Pearls (available at ODBD)
The second card I made for an anniversary card to be donated to the troops in Iraq to send to their families. I am on a mission to make 20 Anniverary cards to regiment that has 900 troops. That isn't even a needle in the haystack but every card does help. A friend collects and makes cards for the troops and she enlisted my help. Since I have so little to do (Yeah right!) I thought why not. No seriously, I couldn't say no to a group of guys that would sacrifice their very lives for my freedom. This card was made using WT216 to use black cardstock and embellishments to create a card. I used DP from DCWV-All Dressed Up and Sabrina that has a lot of black accents and only added Pink on the flowers of the image and to frame the panels on the card. The silver button is a spare button that fell off one of my blouses. Hopefully I don't lose any of the buttons on my blouse now because I am giving the spare away. I just thought it was the perfect touch for this card.

Card 2 Recipe:

Stamps: SU Thoughts and Prayers, SU Warm Words

Paper: Sabrina DP, DCWV All Dressed Up, Pink Pirouette CS, Black CS, and White CS

Accessories: Silver Button, EK Success Punch, Label 4 die, Black Hero Art Pearls (from Our Daily Bread Designs, Black Velvet ribbon
